Hogwarts: I Am an Exemplary Wizard

Chapter 808: Chapter 705: Forgetfulness Spell and the Lost Wand

London.

St Mungo’s.

Cedric’s injuries weren’t serious. A young healer hurriedly entered the ward, pressed down on his leg and snapped it, then deftly wrapped it with a couple of bandages.

”Alright, drink a bottle of Magic Potion afterward, and the bone will heal by tomorrow.”

After saying that, he hurriedly left the ward again. At this time, Kael had just unwrapped the Chocolate Frog, and the entire process didn’t even take a minute.

”I told you, there was no need to come to St Mungo’s,” Cedric said somewhat helplessly.

”It’s better to be cautious,” Mr. Digory said, wiping the sweat from his forehead. ”From now on, leave the Dementor pursuits to the Aurors and stay at the Ministry of Magic.”

”Dad, I’m fine,” Cedric said. ”The reason I got injured this time was just due to lack of experience.”

”No way.”

”Capturing Dementors is mainly the responsibility of the Department for the Regulation and Control of Magical Creatures, not the Auror’s.”

”Then I’ll go,” Mr. Digory insisted, his intention was simple, not allowing Cedric to take risks anymore.

When he received Cedric’s SOS, he felt like the sky was falling, almost fainting in his office.

”But...” Cedric wanted to say something.

”Just listen to Mr. Digory,” Kael interrupted him. ”There are fewer and fewer Dementors now, so we don’t have to deliberately capture them.”

”Also, didn’t you want a vacation earlier? Now’s just right, not three days, how about a week during which you can recuperate peacefully.”

”That’s great!” Mr. Digory said happily. ”Thank you so much, Kael, and this time, it’s all thanks to you for saving Cedric...”

”It’s nothing, after all, we acted together,” Kael said.

”No way,” Cedric shook his head. ”Seven days is too long. There are already too few people in the department, how about three days.”

”That was before. Don’t forget the Dementor issue has been resolved now,” Kael waved his hand and stood up, ”Let’s settle it then.”

Before Cedric could say anything further, Kael nodded at Mr. Digory and left St Mungo’s.

...

When he returned to the Ministry of Magic, someone was already waiting for him.

”How’s it going, you’re not injured, right?” Chris asked.

”No,” Kael said.

”That’s good,” Chris said, leading Kael into the elevator, ”Come on, I’ll take you to the Auror Office.”

As the target of the recent Death Eater attack, Kael definitely needed to make a trip to the Auror Office; he had anticipated that.

Upon reaching the second floor, the two left the elevator, walking down a corridor plastered with wanted posters.

”The Minister attaches great importance to this attack. No matter what, we must find and capture that escaped Death Eater!”

Before they’d even reached the door, Kael heard Scrimgeour’s roar.

”Moreover, tell everyone to remain vigilant. If Death Eaters appear again, we must capture them... Do we have less capability than Kael, a child under seventeen, with all our Aurors?”

At this moment, a knocking sound came from the office.

Chris then opened the door and entered with Kael.

The Auror Office had even more portraits than those in the outside corridor, almost covering the entire wall. The desks and cabinets were piled high with files and documents, while other spaces were taken up by various strange Magic Items.

Kael noticed a huge mirror beside Scrimgeour, reflecting many people, but none were in the room.

Moreover, on the windowsill, there was a Peeping Mirror about the size of a Bludger, spinning quietly.

”You’re here, Chris,” Scrimgeour’s tone had calmed considerably.

”How’s it going, am I interrupting?” Chris asked.

”No,” Scrimgeour replied, waving his hand, and the Aurors in the room left.

”I assume this is your first time here,” Scrimgeour looked at Kael. ”Just give a brief description of the situation back then. It won’t take long... Feel free to sit. Your father and I are very good friends.”

”Alright,” Kael said, finding a sofa with fewer documents to sit on.

”Now then...” Scrimgeour took out a piece of Parchment, ”How many Death Eaters were there this time?”

”Two,” Kael blurted out.

Scrimgeour nodded, making a note on the Parchment, ”Do you know who they were? Either their names or characteristics will do.”

”I don’t know about the one who was caught,” Kael said. ”But the one who escaped, a witch, should have the last name Carrow.”

”Carrow...witch?” Scrimgeour pondered, ”It should be Alecto Carrow. She and Amycus Carrow, siblings, were suspected of being Death Eaters seventeen years ago. But they claimed they were under the Imperio Curse at the time, and due to lack of evidence, they escaped trial.”

”Such instances weren’t uncommon back then,” Chris explained, seemingly clarifying for Kael.

”You-Know-Who fell suddenly, and the Ministry of Magic was in chaos at the time. It was difficult...and impossible to incarcerate a large number of Pure-Blood Wizards into Azkaban, which led to these fish that slipped through the net.”

”Indeed...but it won’t happen now,” Scrimgeour said.

”What happened next? How did you defeat them?”

Kael certainly couldn’t tell the truth, but he had already come up with an explanation.

He didn’t hide dragging out the conversation topics but just replaced the Fire Dragon with magic that Dumbledore taught him.
