Hogwarts: I Am an Exemplary Wizard

Chapter 807: Chapter 704: Ambush—Death Eaters and the Fire Dragon (Part 3)

When Kael landed back on the ground, he quickly found Cedric leaning against a tree.

Although he used a charm to slow his descent, he still had a nasty fall.

”How are you?” Kael asked.

”I’m fine,” Cedric said through gritted teeth. His leg was twisted in a strange way, likely broken.

”How about you, are you okay?” He panted, ”And who were those three people?”

”Death Eaters,” Kael replied.

”I knew it was those guys.” Cedric handed the booklet to Kael, ”I’ve already notified the Aurors, they should be here soon.”

Kael took the booklet and glanced at it. There was an extra line after the latest address.

”Found a Dark Wizard, situation urgent...”

This was something Cedric added, and the Aurors also had several copies of such booklets. To save time, any addition or modification on one would appear on the others as well.

This meant the Aurors would be here soon.

”Wait here for a moment.” Kael stood up and headed into the woods.

”Where are you going?” Cedric said anxiously, ”It’s dangerous, come back quickly.”

But Kael didn’t show any intention of stopping. Soon, he found the two Death Eaters who had fallen earlier.

To Kael’s surprise, the bearded wizard, who had been hit by Norbert’s tail and fallen from the sky, was still alive, even trying to limp away.

He must have cast an Iron Armor Spell at the last second...

Kael didn’t think much of it and went straight up to him.

”Damn it!” The Death Eater rasped, ”The Dark Lord... won’t spare you!”

”I don’t need you to remind me.”

Kael wasted no time and directly pointed his wand at him.

”What are you going to do...” The man’s cold sweat broke out instantly, ”You can’t... can’t kill me... Dumbledore won’t allow it...”

”Legilimency!”

The Death Eater’s eyes immediately became dazed.

...

”Snap, snap, snap!”

A few seconds later, a crisp popping sound was heard all around... the Aurors had arrived.

”Obliviate!”

”Kael!” Chris ran over quickly, looking nervous as he asked, ”How are you, are you alright?”

”I’m fine, Dad.” Kael smiled, ”He tried to escape just now, but I caught him.”

”Leave it to the Aurors,” Chris said, ”Come with me, I’ll take you to St Mungo’s now.”

”I’m really fine, just take Cedric,” Kael said, ”But Dad, why are you here?”

”Amos recognized Cedric’s handwriting, and I guessed it was you who ran into the Death Eaters.” Chris asked anxiously, ”What exactly happened?”

”The Death Eaters were planning to take the Dementor, and we happened to come across them.” Kael said.

He had seen this in the bearded wizard’s mind.

Kael had initially thought it was a trap set specifically for him, but it turned out to be just a coincidence.

The Death Eaters had come to deliver Voldemort’s message to the Dementor and were tasked with taking them away, and it just happened that he and Cedric arrived at that time.

The Disillusionment Charm’s concealment effect was not very effective during the day. After noticing the two of them, the other side put on a show, planning to do a big job before leaving to earn credit from Voldemort.

Then the scene just now happened.

But Kael didn’t expect that he was so valuable, dead or alive. As long as they could bring him back, besides becoming a core Death Eater, Voldemort would personally enhance their power.

The treatment was even better than Harry’s, no wonder these people seemed to have red eyes when they saw him.

At this moment, Scrimgeour also arrived. He surveyed the situation around, and upon noticing the area swept by Dragon Flame, frowned slightly.

”This doesn’t look like an ordinary Fiendfyre Curse.”

”It was the Death Eaters.” Kael said angrily, ”Those heartless lunatics, they’re too despicable.”

”I see.” Scrimgeour nodded and didn’t pay much more attention.

The Dark Magic of the Death Eaters was varied, and the Fiendfyre Curse was indeed one of their commonly used methods.

Chris’s mouth twitched slightly on the side. He glanced at Kael but said nothing in the end.

Afterward, Amos Digory used a Portkey to take Kael and the injured Cedric away, back to the Ministry of Magic.

After they left, Scrimgeour approached a scorched tree and touched the trunk.

”Chris, come quickly and take a look, could this be Dragon Fire?”

”Ah, it’s not.” Chris also touched the trunk, took a deep breath, and said calmly, ”Dragon Flame would have a stronger sulfur smell and a stronger adhesion, what’s here... should just be a special magic flame.”

”That’s good.” Scrimgeour breathed a sigh of relief, ”If the Death Eaters had a Fire Dragon, that would be a real problem.”

”Yes, indeed.” Chris agreed.

”But your son is really outstanding,” Scrimgeour said with a smile, ”Faced with two Death Eaters, ran one off and captured another alive, he’s practically a born Auror, it seems a bit of a waste to have him in the ministerial office.”

”Ahem...” Chris chuckled but quickly returned to normal, clearing his throat, he said, ”I have to remind you, Rufus, please don’t say that in the Ministry.”

”I certainly won’t.” Scrimgeour said, ”But you really should advise Kael to become an Auror, he’s suited for it.”

”I’ll do that.” Chris said with a smile, ”But the final choice is still up to Kael.”
