A Warm Marriage After Rebirth

Chapter 165: Chapter 165: Mr. Grant’s Appearance (6)

Ronan Winters waved a hand, and someone immediately led everyone out of the room.

Logan Grant and Genevieve Churchill looked at Seraphina Sterling, their faces filled with worry. They didn’t know if she was confident she could handle this. This Young Master was unpredictable; who knew what dangerous move he might make? If he lost control and tried something, Seraphina would be completely unable to fight back!

Seraphina Sterling gave them a reassuring smile. Since she was the one who had proposed the terms, she was confident.

Soon, only Seraphina Sterling and Ronan Winters remained in the room.

”I’m very curious. You’re just a poor student, with nothing to your name—no, that’s not right. You’re decent-looking. If we’re talking assets, the most valuable things you have are your body and that pretty face. And I, Ronan Winters, am a man who has never lacked for women! What gives you the right to bargain with me?”

Ronan Winters was an extremely practical man. All he saw were immediate benefits. His mind was solely capable of calculating gains and losses.

”Thank you for the compliment. Fortunately, I also have a decent mind. The only reason you’re propping up the Galloway Family’s auction house and working with them is to acquire sufficient capital through legitimate channels. You want to slowly make the Winters Family legitimate!”

Upon hearing Seraphina Sterling’s words, Ronan Winters’s expression turned increasingly grave. It was only now that he truly began to see her as something more. ’This girl is no simpleton. She not only knows who I am, but she also knows my objective!’

”What if I have a way for you to make more money in less time? In exchange, you stay out of my affairs with the Galloway Family. And from now on, you give me the green light for everything I do!”

Seraphina Sterling was taking a gamble. The Winters Family were the overlords of The Underground. This incident had sounded an alarm for her. ’If I back down this time, then in the future, if I run into a similar situation in the business world involving the Winters Family or Ronan Winters, I’ll just have to back down again. The path I’ve chosen only allows for moving forward, never back! I have never had the luxury of retreat!’

”It seems you’re unaware. The thing I hate most is people trying to read my mind. Since you’ve crossed that line, you’ll have to accept your punishment!” The words had barely left Ronan Winters’s lips when he attacked, launching a fist at Seraphina Sterling.

’How can he just flip like that?!’ Seraphina Sterling hastily dodged, but Ronan Winters’s assault didn’t slow in the slightest. All she could do was evade; she didn’t even have an opportunity to counter-attack.

’He really is the Young Master of The Underground; his skills are truly top-tier! But compared to Terrence Grant, he’s still a little lacking.’

Suddenly, when Ronan Winters kicked at her again, Seraphina Sterling didn’t dodge. She advanced. As the kick struck her shoulder, she let a silver pistol, hidden up her sleeve, slide into her hand and fired a shot into his shoulder!

The moment the gunshot echoed from inside the room, Logan Grant and Genevieve Churchill could no longer stand by. They immediately rushed for the room. The men in the hallway moved to block them, and a fight instantly broke out!

Logan Grant had professional training, so these men were no match for him. Genevieve Churchill, however, was struggling. She knew some basic self-defense, which was fine against street punks, but she was completely outmatched by these highly trained professionals.

Logan Grant had to fight while also protecting Genevieve Churchill, which slowed him down considerably.

Their opponents quickly realized that Genevieve Churchill wasn’t as skilled as Logan Grant and began to target her. Suddenly, during a moment of carelessness, Genevieve was punched in the mouth, and a pistol was immediately pressed to her head.

”Stop! If you don’t, I’ll blow her head off!”

Logan Grant had no choice but to stop fighting. The moment he lowered his fists, the men he’d been thrashing immediately exacted their revenge with a flurry of kicks and punches. Soon, Logan Grant was covered in cuts and bruises too.
