Keldorn was short on water.

Yet, Water Element Superpower Users weren’t highly valued.

Ever since the apocalypse began, the Water Element Superpower Users in Keldorn had mostly been treated as mobile water sources.

They were often confined to a small corner.

Their Skills were limited, they couldn’t kill zombies, and they couldn’t survive on their own.

No matter who captured them, they were merely scraping by.

So when they heard that Achilles Renner had been killed, they felt nothing.

Because it was the same no matter who they followed.

—Meow.

A large brown cat pushed the door open and padded inside.

Lynn Carter jumped in fright.

In their eyes, animals in the apocalypse were either man-eating Mutated Animals or zombie animals.

But Nina Jacobs just glanced at it and said, ”Lexy, don’t be naughty.”

—Meow.

After hearing her, the cat obediently sat to the side and began grooming itself.

”Sending you back isn’t out of the question,”

Nina Jacobs said.

Lynn Carter froze, then stared at her and asked, ”What’s the catch?”

”There’s no catch. In a few days, I’ll be making a trip to Lornwood Base,

and if you want to go back, you can just come with me.”

Nina Jacobs replied.

”Really?”

Overwhelmed with disbelief, Lynn Carter thought she must be dreaming.

”Of course it’s real. But for the next three days, you’ll need to go kill zombies with the others,”

Nina Jacobs said.

Although Gralem Prison was in a remote location, there were still zombies scattered around the area.

The battle outside the gates yesterday, in particular, had attracted zombies from dozens of kilometers around.

”Kill... zombies?”

Lynn Carter’s face instantly turned a few shades paler.

’How could we possibly kill zombies?’

This was no different from sending them to their deaths.

’So the outcome is still the same...’

Watching the dejected Lynn Carter walk out, Cordelia, who was outside the door, brought in a few more completed forms.

”Nina, will this actually work?

Wouldn’t it be better to just persuade them to produce water for us?”

Cordelia couldn’t help but say.

Their treatment would definitely be different from under Achilles Renner, and they would give these Water Element Superpower Users enough freedom.

They just needed to produce enough water.

She didn’t see anything wrong with that.

But Nina Jacobs clearly thought otherwise. ”Among my friends in other places, there are also a few Water Element Superpower Users,

and they’re no worse than any other Superpower User.

Besides...”

’And Water Element Superpower Users who’ve absorbed a Mystic Ice Core are even stronger.’

”We currently only have a few dozen Water Element Superpower Users. At their current strength, they can at most satisfy the water needs of a few hundred people,

and that’s far from enough.”

Nina Jacobs analyzed.

These Water Element Superpower Users weren’t using their Superpowers willingly, and their abilities were still very weak.

Going out to kill zombies was the best and fastest way for them to improve.

”I want them to start by changing their own mindset.”

Hearing Nina Jacobs’s words, Cordelia was also slightly moved.

’Start by changing their own mindset?’

Perhaps Nina Jacobs’s idea could truly change the situation for Water Element Superpower Users.

Cordelia decided to wait and see.

The forms for the 39 Water Element Superpower Users had mostly been filled out.

About 10 of them wanted to return to the base to see their families and friends.

Some wanted to eat at a buffet.

Some wanted someone to talk with them.

Some wanted to drink a cup of coffee, to watch TV for a day...

Someone even requested to have dinner with Silas Crowley.

Nina Jacobs granted every request.

But the condition for all of them was to participate in the zombie-killing expeditions.

”Silas Crowley really managed to comfort his little fan,

is this the celebrity effect?”

Cordelia said with a smile to Reginald Sutton, who was beside her.

Nina Jacobs was having a simple dinner with everyone else.

”For people who have never killed a zombie before, it’s very difficult at the start.”

Felix Finch had been appointed by Nina Jacobs as the person in charge of this operation.

After hearing Nina Jacobs’s philosophy, he was the one who agreed with it most.

Nina Jacobs had also learned from Kelly Ainsworth that Felix Finch was an anti-drug police officer before the apocalypse.

He had gone to the valley to rescue his wife and son who were there.

He had actually managed to save them both, but a large number of zombies were led into the valley, forcing him to flee with them.

But during their escape, his wife was unfortunately infected, and he only made it out with Freya Finch...

”It’s difficult, but as long as they can start, it’s already a success,”

Nina Jacobs said.

”You’re right. Don’t worry, I won’t let anything happen to them.”

The scars on Felix Finch’s skin were still there, but he knew his body had already recovered.

Silas Crowley and some of Tristan Lynch’s people also signed up to go kill zombies.

Nina Jacobs still felt a little uneasy and planned to have Wayne Warner go with them the next morning.

Because she still had many other things to do.

This included strengthening their defenses.

Gralem Prison was an excellent shelter; its high walls, which had previously ensured privacy, were now its best defensive barrier.

But Nina Jacobs knew this was far from enough.

”Do we really not need to call more Earth Element Superpower Users over?

In a few more days, Captain Wren and the others from Pyralia will be here,

and Tristan Lynch has a few capable Earth Element Superpower Users as well.”

Cordelia said, analyzing the situation as she followed behind Nina Jacobs.

Nina Jacobs was actually planning to go build checkpoints outside by herself.

The Gralem Prison complex covered a huge area. How could she possibly handle it all alone?

But Nina Jacobs was holding the blueprints designed by Mirelle Keller. Her Superpower was currently abundant, so building the checkpoints would just be a way to expend some of it.

It was early morning.

Due to their inexperience, the group of Water Element Superpower Users who went out to kill zombies were instructed to stay within the area below the high walls.

At the very beginning, Felix Finch and the others were the ones killing the zombies.

Lynn Carter looked at the machete in her hand, a sense of unreality washing over her.

She used to envy other Superpower Users who could kill zombies.

Remembering how her older sister had died protecting her from a zombie bite, she viciously hacked at a zombie’s corpse.

One strike, two strikes, three strikes...

Some of the people around her watched in surprise, while others looked on with understanding.

Killing zombies, just like other Superpower Users.

They finally had the chance.

”I thought they were sending us here to die.”

A short-haired girl helped up the sobbing Lynn Carter.

Felix Finch and his group protected them well.

They didn’t mock them. Instead, they treated them like comrades, teaching them the basics of zombie killing.

”Go, Silas Crowley, go!!”

A girl with twin pigtails shouted, jumping up and down on the side.

She had been a die-hard fan of Silas Crowley before the apocalypse, and she was the one who had written down the request to have dinner with him.

Now, seeing her idol protecting her right in front of her, she had forgotten all her previous unhappiness.

Seeing this, Lynn Carter and the short-haired girl beside her couldn’t help but laugh out loud.

”Is that... her?”

The short-haired girl’s name was Gwendolyn, and she saw Nina Jacobs walk out alone.

She even nodded at them.

Her gaze seemed to be one of encouragement.

”It’s dangerous over there. What’s she doing going by herself?”

Someone in the crowd asked.

They all recognized Nina Jacobs and were extremely curious about her.

”I asked her yesterday! She said she’s going to build a base here.”

The girl with the twin pigtails was named Eulalia Lewis. She’d had a pleasant chat with Nina Jacobs yesterday.

When she asked her question, Nina Jacobs had answered her without hiding anything.

”Build... a base?”

Lynn Carter and the others who didn’t know asked in surprise.

’Build a base... in a prison?’

”Well, I support her completely, because my idol is here too,”

Eulalia Lewis said.
