”What’s the highest level?”

Nina Jacobs asked.

The alert level must correspond to the number of zombies.

”Level Five.”

Marcellus’s expression was uglier than if he’d been crying.

”...”

Nina Jacobs walked out and ran to a window. Sure enough, she saw zombies gathering in the distance.

Keldorn was already an arid region, and the dust kicked up by the zombies filled the sky.

Yellow sand billowed toward them, and there was no telling how many zombies were hidden behind the dust cloud.

”Someone is luring zombies this way,”

Nina Jacobs said. With her Five Senses Enhancement, her vision was also improved, and she could already see something strange beneath the dust.

”What did you say?!”

Marcellus was just about to go support the people below, but when he heard Nina Jacobs, he ran back.

He stared out from the same spot and, sure enough, saw glints of light reflecting from within the vast cloud of sand and dust.

It looked like a few drones.

”That direction... could it be those bastards from Griston?!”

Marcellus cursed, then ran downstairs without a second glance.

”Looks like there’s no rest for us today,”

Nina Jacobs said with regret.

If Thaddeus Wren only had about two hundred people here, a horde this large would be a cataclysm.

Besides, considering the personnel who were out, she figured there were probably only a little over a hundred people left guarding the towers.

”Nina Jacobs! It looks like things are getting chaotic outside!”

Cordelia had already run over. ”Silas Crowley and the others have all gone down. They’re asking if we should get in the car and make a run for it.”

”Run?”

Nina Jacobs shook her head after hearing that.

”It’s too late to run.”

If they tried to escape now, they’d most likely be surrounded.

”Then... then what do we do? With this many zombies, staying here is a death sentence too.”

Cordelia’s face turned ghastly pale.

They hadn’t encountered any large-scale zombie hordes on their journey, so they had let their guard down.

Below, panicked commands could already be heard.

Thaddeus Wren was calling on all the Gold and Earth Element Superpower Users to reinforce the two towers.

”There are too many zombies! We’ll hold them off for as long as we can!”

Thaddeus Wren said.

”Captain Wren, someone discovered that the zombies were deliberately lured here!”

Marcellus ran over as soon as he saw Thaddeus Wren.

”What did you say?!”

Thaddeus Wren was furious when he heard this.

But he also knew this wasn’t the time to dwell on it.

They had to survive this wave first.

”There are Mutated Zombies. The towers will fall sooner or later.”

A quiet voice spoke up beside him.

”This is the only way.”

Thaddeus Wren replied without turning his head. How could he not know that?

But zombies were surging toward them from both ends of the road. They had nowhere to run.

Hiding in the towers was their only option.

Nina Jacobs was silent for a moment, then said:

”Let me give it a try. But afterward, I have something I need to ask you, Captain Wren.”

”You?”

Virgil Ulrich thought he had misheard. ”You? A young girl like you... have you not seen how many zombies are coming?”

”I have. It’s not that many,”

Nina Jacobs replied.

Only then did Thaddeus Wren turn to look at Nina Jacobs.

’She actually said that horde wasn’t that many? Did I mishear, or has she lost her mind?’

”Nina Jacobs, you’re not joking, are you? Even if you’re powerful...”

Cordelia tugged at the corner of Nina Jacobs’s clothes, feeling very uneasy.

Silas Crowley and the others also wanted to dissuade her, but they saw Nina Jacobs walk to the other end of the road. ”There’s no time.”

With a wave of her hand, she activated her Superpower.

The dust on the ground began to shift and roil, and then a wall erupted from the earth.

The wall rose higher and higher, past the height of a person, and continued to ascend.

The people around them stared up in shock at the high wall that was still rising.

”So Nina Jacobs is a Dual Element user...”

Cordelia murmured.

Nina Jacobs had never introduced herself, so they all assumed she was just a Fire Element Superpower User.

”Holy cow, is that an Earth Element Superpower User?”

Emrys Young stared at the wall, which was now over three meters high, his eyes filled with shock.

He was also an Earth Element Superpower User, but it would probably take him several days to create a wall like that...

”What about the other side?”

Marcellus asked anxiously.

From the top of the tower, the largest number of zombies seemed to be coming from the other direction.

”The other side, we fight, of course,”

Nina Jacobs said.

”Alright! If it comes to it, we’ll go all out. I haven’t even used my Superpower today anyway.”

Virgil Ulrich was stunned for a moment, then immediately prepared to fight.

”Anyone who wants to live, bring out everything you’ve got! We’ll defend our home to the death!”

Emrys Young shouted.

Many people stepped forward, including Silas Crowley and the others who had just arrived today.

It wasn’t for any other reason than that they had no escape.

RUMBLE RUMBLE.

Amidst the billowing dust in the distance, there weren’t just zombies; large zombified animals followed behind them.

Everyone’s faces instantly turned pale.

”Isn’t she... an Earth Element Superpower User?”

Just then, someone noticed the magma on the ground.

The magma slowly spread out across the road ahead.

And the person controlling this magma was, to everyone’s surprise, Nina Jacobs.

”If you want to help, create barricades now,”

Nina Jacobs said.

Only then did Thaddeus Wren snap back to reality.

He immediately condensed a series of crossbars to block the way ahead.

Seeing this, the others also hurriedly condensed various obstacles to place within the magma.

”Has Keldorn ever had someone like this?”

Virgil Ulrich muttered to himself.

He had never seen such a powerful Superpower User in Keldorn.

Nina Jacobs’s attention, however, was focused on a collapsed building to the front right. ”Over there! Something is coming from below!”

The houses on both sides of the street were all abandoned, but they wouldn’t collapse for no reason.

Unless a zombie had passed through there.

ROAR!

A zombie burst out directly from the ground on the right, only to be nailed back down by a Diamond Sand Spike that was already waiting for it!

Thaddeus Wren broke out in a cold sweat.

That zombie had appeared in the ground right beside him, no more than ten centimeters away!

If Nina Jacobs hadn’t reacted so quickly, that single zombie would have been more than they could handle.

”Thanks.”

This was the first time in a long while that Thaddeus Wren had said thank you to anyone.

”It’s dangerous here. Get in the tower first,”

Nina Jacobs said.

The second floor of Pyralia was an excellent place to use Superpowers.

And it provided a clear view of the surroundings.

Not far away, the first wave of zombies had already stepped into the layer of magma.

Once everyone was inside the tower and saw the scene from the second floor, someone immediately let out a cheer.

”There are fewer zombies on the other side. Anyone willing to come, follow me closely!”

After exchanging a few words with Nina Jacobs, Thaddeus Wren led a few dozen people to the other tower.

By now, the barricades left by the group below had started to take effect.

However, some Mutated Zombies changed their direction and began climbing over the buildings on both sides of the road.

At that moment, several Fireballs hurtling through the air gradually split into a barrage of Flaming Arrows.

Dozens of arrows rained down in unison!

”So powerful,”

Tobin said in admiration.

Nina Jacobs condensed her Superpower so quickly that, because of the Control required, her hand movements looked like she was forming hand seals.

Her movements were clean and decisive, yet their destructive power was immense.

”So cool...”

Cordelia was completely captivated. She had never seen such a masterful and strategic Superpower User.

”Exactly. They always say we Female Superpower Users are naturally weaker. The people who say that should really see this,”

Annie Stone added in admiration.

”I think they’re about to,”

Silas Crowley said.

He had asked Nina Jacobs privately last night. Although Nina Jacobs was doing this for a deceased friend of hers...

...he could also guess that she was preparing to do something big in Keldorn.

He had doubted her before, but now, he was completely convinced.
