Global Lords: I Have Information System

Chapter 189: Chapter 189: Final Preparations and Theseus’ Slaying Staff

After this roar was heard, the Spider Web Monsters, originally in a state of panic, found their backbone.

They quickly turned the rear into the front and began to retreat, soon burrowing into the mine shaft.

Some Spider Web Monsters, missing limbs, lagged behind and were killed by the pursuing warriors on Zong Shen’s side.

Those Spider Web Monsters only focused on retreating, without any intention to fight.

”Everyone, stop the chase, let’s rest for a moment.”

”There must be danger waiting for us deep within the mine shaft.”

Zong Shen stopped the warriors from pursuing further, only allowing the summoned creatures that had not yet reached their time limit to continue the chase.

The roar just now should have been the retreat signal issued by the Spider Web Monster Lord.

In front of that open area with many spider eggs, there are two paths. One path leads straight forward, and after passing through a mine shaft, it reaches the miners’ living area, the so-called mining dormitory.

The other path advances to the left, where there is also a mine shaft, a branch mine, quite possibly connected to the mining dormitory.

As for the group of Spider Web Monsters retreating towards the tunnel, Zong Shen does not know where they will go.

According to the strategies and the path marked on Baron Bezos’s Azshara Mine Map, the path they took when they came is the only route leading to the living area.

From the mine entrance to the hall, the left passage is where the mine warehouse is located. Although there are also branch roads leading to the office area and living area here, the branch roads in both left and right areas are all blocked by solid rune gates.

So the only thing Zong Shen fears is that the group of Spider Web Monsters behind might suddenly launch a counterattack.

Although nearly two-fifths of them were taken down before, the remaining Spider Web Monsters are still not a small number and still require vigilance.

The Azshara Mine actually has a total of four major entrances.

These four entrances are distributed in four directions, two of which were destroyed in the ancient dimension war.

Each entrance has a shallow area, divided into warehouse and living areas.

The living area consists of the office area and living dormitory.

The actual mining area is even deeper underground, and the main mining areas each entrance is responsible for are different—some deeper, some shallower, but all interconnected by mine shafts.

These passages form a web-like mine network beneath the northern mountains of Azshara, connecting to the city sewer of Azshara to the south and the mountain fortress of Azshara to the north.

After the fall of Azshara, the Alliance Resistance Army once entered the tunnels and held their ground.

So in this underground network, there are quite a few relics and resources left behind.

In other words, whoever can fully control this mining area can seize Azshara’s underground world.

Years ago, the Avalon Kingdom also sent explorers, aside from the northern Nord Kingdom, the surviving Elf Race, the Goblin Group, and the Dwarf Race, who have all sent expeditions here but for some reason never thoroughly investigated and eventually gave up.

Rumors say a terrifying Other Dimension Demon, powerful enough to destroy the world, is sealed beneath Azshara, dormant and dare not be disturbed by anyone.

All of this was learned by Zong Shen from the strategy module beforehand.

He remembers them all as exploration data.

However, he is not burdened by these concerns now, nor is he considering things this far. The goal ahead is simple: secure this area, collect the resources left in the warehouse area, organize and resume mining operations, and provide a continuous mineral supply for the development of the territory.

As for other things, the time is not yet ripe, and overthinking won’t help.

Focusing on territorial development is crucial. As a Lord, aiming too high and impracticality are taboos; steady progress is the way to grow.

Someday, he will grow on this land, combining effort and dedication in this process.

According to previous strategy hints, the Spider Web Monster Race’s nest is within the living area, having completely occupied the mining dormitory as the core of the nest.

The Spider Web Monster Lord must be devouring the Demon’s Heart deep within the nest.

”Has the metamorphosis of the Spider Web Monster Lord been completed?”

”Do you have any good recommendations for the next action?”

Zong Shen silently inquired of the strategy module in his mind.

(Current Demonization Level lv17, lifespan shortened by 173 years, remaining lifespan 129 years, attribute increases by 70%, estimated time for completing demonization metamorphosis is 1 hour and 28 minutes

The Demon Heart devoured is the heart of a Dominator Level Demon from the Blood Burning Legion, containing power from an Other Dimension Demon. The leakage of this power is sufficient to start the demonization of the entire Spider Web Monster Race. Right now, it is using its lifespan as a cost, gradually transforming the Spider Web Monster Lord into a Blood-Burning Demon Body. Its current grade is between Purple Commander Level and Orange Dominator Level. Now it’s at the most critical moment of transformation and metamorphosis. If you can interrupt its metamorphosis, it will plunge into the backlash of the Demon’s Heart, causing severe negative states)

Looking at the golden strategy text, Zong Shen furrowed his brow.

This is the lair of the Spider Web Monsters, not his territory on the surface.

The Spider Web Monster Lord will complete its metamorphosis in less than an hour and a half.

This means Zong Shen must lead his warriors into the Spider Web Monster nest within this time.

That’s to fight through an unknown number of Spider Web Monsters to interrupt the Spider Web Monster Lord’s metamorphosis process.

”How many Spider Web Monsters are still here?”

Zong Shen asked again, knowing that to know one’s enemy is to win a hundred battles without danger, and he could not be careless in this battle.

(Currently in the Spider Web Monster Nest, there are a total of 739 Little Spider Web Monsters, 477 Spider Web Monster Warriors, 18 Spider Prophets, 33 Weavers, 6 Burrowing Demons, 12 Petrifying Crawlers, 1 Spider Web Monster Queen, 1 Spider Web Monster Lord)

Just seeing these numbers made Zong Shen feel a headache; roughly calculated, there were over a thousand of them.

These are over a thousand Spider Web Monsters, and among them are Elite Level, Captain Level, and even Commander Level beings; they certainly are not just a thousand pigs.

Even if they were a thousand pigs standing still for Zong Shen and his men to kill, it would take quite a while to finish them all.

”Headache, troublesome, let’s hurry up and clean the battlefield, recover our state, and fight a good battle.”

Zong Shen shook his head, dispelling the chaotic thoughts from his mind, and raised his head to instruct the surrounding warriors.

”Go collect the equipment dropped by the Spider Web Monster Queen and the Spider Prophets.”

”As for the corpses, we can deal with them after we handle the Spider Web Monster Lord.”

Earlier, we eliminated three or four Spider Prophets, and the weapons they held were of Blue Quality.

As for those armors, although they are somewhat damaged, collecting them and handing them to the Dwarf Uncle for centralized repair is also a good choice.

As a High-level Blacksmith, the Dwarf Uncle is fully capable of repairing these equipments.

Of course, the higher the level of the equipment, the more precious the materials needed for repair.

So by then, we will just let the Dwarf Uncle do a simple repair and sell them all in the [Market], they are sure to fetch a good price.

Thinking of this, Zong Shen raised his head.

He saw Favide not far away, happily holding the magic staff Zong Shen obtained from the Spider Web Monster Queen, carefully wiping it with the sleeve of his Mage Robe.

He suddenly remembered that he hadn’t had the chance to check the attributes of this staff before giving it to Favide.

Taking advantage of the short break, Zong Shen decided to check its attributes.

”Favide, let me take a look at the staff.”

Zong Shen extended his hand towards Favide.

Upon hearing this, Favide quickly stood up and handed the staff over to Zong Shen without hesitation.

Zong Shen held the staff in his hands, carefully observing it.

This staff was about 1.2 meters long, considered a long staff.

The staff body was made of some kind of Wood, very lightweight, with no patterns on its surface, just some mottled marks, as if it were a heavily rusted stick that had been polished again. Its surface emitted a dull gray light that seemed capable of devouring life.

The most striking feature was not just the staff body, but at the top of the forward part of the staff, there was a black, strange Treasure Pearl, with its interior shimmering like a galaxy.

The only blemish was a few tiny cracks at the center of the pearl, not too severe.

As Zong Shen focused his gaze, the detailed attributes of the staff suddenly appeared before him.

(The staff found by the Spider Web Monster Lord from the ruins deep within the mine, originating from an ancient powerful figure who has already fallen. Although the Black Soul Treasure Pearl has some damage, it can still collect the power of slaughter, exerting many uses. If some materials can be gathered, it might be repairable to unleash even greater power.)

No wonder Favide showed such a fond expression. This piece of equipment is indeed powerful, becoming stronger the more you kill!

Some of the details and skills were not mentioned in the property description of the Spider Web Monster Queen.

Now, as Zong Shen held this equipment in hand, he could see its complete attributes.

Upon closer inspection, this equipment is better than previously imagined!

It is definitely a top-notch item among Rare Level equipment!
