Global Lords: I Have Information System

Chapter 183: Chapter 183: Looting the Office Area, 2 Treasure Chests

The corrosion of ten thousand years, even black iron cannot withstand.

Zong Shen gently rubbed the surface of the plaque with his thumb, layers of rust falling off.

All the engravings on it disappeared completely.

Returning these plaques to the ground, Zong Shen stepped down the staircase and left the simple stone house.

At this moment, the warriors searching in other houses also made new discoveries one after another.

They came to Zong Shen to report.

”Lord, we found two treasure chests that cannot be opened in one room...”

”Lord, there is a strange refined gold plaque here, untouched by decay over ten thousand years...”

”There are several boxes of precious ores here...”

”Reporting, Lord, we found a string of rune keys...”

...

Apart from those two chests, all the discoveries were brought to Zong Shen by the soldiers.

A string of rune keys, three or four boxes of separately stored precious ores, and a refined gold plaque.

”Didn’t you find any remains?”

Zong Shen scanned through the items one by one and looked up to ask.

All the warriors shook their heads; no remains from that time were found.

It’s unclear whether they have all decayed into bone fragments or if there’s another reason.

Ten thousand years is too long a time; these Spider Web Monsters have only occupied this place in recent decades.

Who knows if anyone visited this mine during the previous millennium or if some other terrifying presence once inhabited it.

Zong Shen remembered the Elf Race remains he dug up under the crooked tree, their jade-like bones, and the items in the backpack proving that the deceased was likely a powerful elf.

This indirectly suggests the remains of a strong individual can survive the erosion of ten thousand years to be preserved until now.

As a place once affected by great battles, it is impossible there wouldn’t be any remains left.

Zong Shen pondered for a moment, then looked at the refined gold plaque in his hand.

This plaque is in a completely different league compared to the previous black iron plaque and somewhat resembles the golden magic cards in Baron Bezos’ wallet.

They should be tokens of identity verification.

[Miner’s Identity Card]

[Identity plaque with magical power]

[With this card, you can gain access to activate part of the magic arrays in the mining area]

(Keep it, many of the defenses in this mining area used to have magic arrays, and although most are destroyed, some can still be activated)

This refined gold plaque undoubtedly has some secrets; Zong Shen stored it in his storage grid.

Then he reached out to store all those boxes of ores into the storage grid as well.

Ores specially sorted for storage in the office area are all valuable.

One of the ore boxes even contains several palm-sized leather bags, the contents unknown.

Among them are some things Zong Shen has never seen before.

Zong Shen simply collected everything first.

[secret silver×83]

[refined gold×35]

[Intermediate Elemental Crystal×6]

[Intermediate Magic Energy Crystal×12]

[Basic-level Magic Energy Crystal×4]

[Basic Fire Gemstone×1]

[Gem Powder×4 (bags)]

All are precious materials, with the Basic Fire Gemstone and the gem powders being especially rare magic and alchemy materials.

Especially the Fire Gemstone, which, when combined with a Fire Rune, can create many flame-related items.

The beret Zong Shen bestowed upon Favide has a magic gemstone embedded in it.

The Earth Beast Gas Bag of the goblin airship also contains a Wind Gemstone.

These ores are critical resources for his recent development, so he gladly accepted them.

As for the string of keys, they are keys to the left warehouse area.

There are more than ten keys, each emitting a faint rune glow.

The quality of the keys alone suggests how solid the rune gates of those warehouses must be.

After securing all these items, Zong Shen followed the warriors’ guidance to the room with the chests.

An Ancient Bronze Treasure Chest quietly sat in the corner of the room, and beside it was a Silver Treasure Chest.

This Silver Treasure Chest was not mentioned in the previous strategy hints.

It is very likely deployed after the adjustment post-newbie stage, or it could be a Trap Treasure Chest.

So far, nearly half of the Silver Treasure Chests Zong Shen encountered have been trap chests, a real nuisance, as a wrong step could lead to big trouble.

Although with the continuous increase of the Lords’ strength, their lives aren’t at risk anymore, enduring some hardships is inevitable. Therefore, opening chests is also an exciting venture for other Lords.

Now, it remains to be seen whether this Silver Treasure Chest is a regular or a trap, and if it’s regular, that’s great; if it’s a trap, well, it can still be used to stir up some trouble.

The trap effects in the chests are notably overpowering, affecting not only Lords but also having an impact on native forces.

Zong Shen approached the chests and looked intently.

[Ancient Bronze Treasure Chest]

[An unknown Ancient Bronze Treasure Chest, nobody knows what might be inside]

(No problem with the chest, safe to open)

...

[Silver Treasure Chest]

[An unknown Silver Treasure Chest, nobody knows what might be inside]

(No problem with the chest, safe to open)

”Phew! Finally, a double yolk find for me!”

Zong Shen grinned, raised his fist, and swung it vigorously, clearly in a good mood.

Each Silver Treasure Chest typically contains one or two Rare Level items.

He couldn’t wait to open all the treasure chests!

The two treasure chests opened almost simultaneously, with each chest bursting out several orbs of light.

[Medium-sized Bathhouse Construction Blueprint (Blue) ×1]

[Water Purification Device Manufacturing Blueprint (Blue) ×1]

[Tier One Infantry Training Manual ×6]

[Tier Two Infantry Training Manual ×3]

[Basic Wisdom Book ×1]

[Successfully opened Silver Treasure Chest]

[Low-Temperature Cold Storage Construction Blueprint (Blue) ×1]

[Dragon Turtle Hard Shell Expedition Backpack (Purple) ×1]

[Dragon Transformation Spear and Shield Warrior Recruitment Scroll ×3]

[Tier Three Elemental Arrow Tower Construction Blueprint ×1]

[Blood-devouring Man-eating Flower Seed (Purple) ×3]

[Tier One City Gate Construction Blueprint ×1]

...

The rewards were not too numerous, and among them, five were blueprints, along with training manuals and other items.

However, fortunately, there were also three Recruitment Scrolls.

And they happened to be for Dragon Transformation Spear and Shield Warriors.

There were only two Rare Level items: one was a large backpack, and the other was three blood-red seeds.

The backpack was made with a kind of hard hide, and its surface was covered with palm-sized scales.

[Dragon Turtle Hard Shell Expedition Backpack (Purple)]

[Quality: Rare]

[Capacity: 0/48 grids]

[Armor Value: 20]

[Click to open]

(A backpack made from the hard hide of a Dragon Turtle, high in load capacity, durable, and providing a certain amount of back protection, it’s an essential item for home and travel)

Wow, the load capacity is as high as 48 grids. Zong Shen currently, with his level 6 [Item Management] plus the initial 20 storage grids, only has 50 storage grids. This backpack alone offers 48 grids.

Greatly increases Zong Shen’s carrying (raiding) ability, and can also enhance back defense.

When he puts on that furry Charging Cloak, he’ll be the most dashing guy in the village, with back armor values incredibly high.

Zong Shen put on the backpack and began inspecting those three peculiar seeds.

He was quite expectant since the Ancient Guardian was also a Rare Level seed; he hoped these three seeds in his hand wouldn’t disappoint!

[Blood-devouring Man-eating Flower Seed (Purple)]

[Rare Level special plant]

[Plant it in the soil, water with fresh blood, and use carcasses as fertilizer to grow a Blood-devouring Man-eating Flower]

[It will attack all creatures passing through its range, except for allies]

(A carnivorous flower with a great appetite, planting them near critical passageways inside and outside the territory is equivalent to having three fierce loyal guards)

It turned out to be a special plant, but it didn’t seem as powerful as the Tree Spirit like the Ancient Guardian.

However, being classified as Rare Level, it must have its reasons.

Zong Shen planned to plant it at the northern entrance upon returning to the territory.

After inspecting these items, he walked out of the house and immediately used the three Recruitment Scrolls.

The Recruitment Scrolls in his hand transformed into three dark red glows that fell on the open ground, forming three Magic Arrays.

As the glow dissipated, three tall and strong figures appeared.

Similarly clad in armor, armed with heavy shields and long spears, these imposing men, over 1.9 meters tall, emerged.

They stood firm and walked resolutely toward Zong Shen with determined gazes.

The two nail-head hammers at their waist clanged continuously against their armor as they moved.

Producing a ”ding-ding-dang-dang” sound.

”In the name of the Dragon God!”

”Dragon Transformation Spear and Shield Warrior Evans/Yarlin/Oston, reporting to you!”

”Great Lord, may your glory shine across the continent!”

Their voices were equally robust, filled with the unique tension of men.

”Welcome to your addition, rise, warriors,”

”You will now join the lineup of the other four Dragon Transformation Spear and Shield Warriors, protecting the front lines.”

Zong Shen waved his hand, gesturing them to join with the other spear and shield warriors.

The three newly joined spear and shield warriors promptly rose and walked over.

These burly men were somewhat silent and reticent, with little interaction among each other.

On the spot, Zong Shen used the Basic Wisdom Book, increasing his Wisdom by 2 points, raising his Wisdom Attribute to 21 points.

As for the other blueprints, Zong Shen stored them away, intending to examine them all together when he had time, a habit he maintained over time.

After two rounds of treasure chest openings, the soldier team expanded to a massive 30 people.

Growing ever stronger.

After looting the office area, Zong Shen led his men toward the open ground covered with Spider Eggs.

Approaching them, these Spider Eggs appeared even more disgusting, densely packed like cysts with green spots.

Zong Shen drew the Royal Guard Battle Sword and slashed open one of the Spider Eggs.

As the eggshell shattered, murky yellow liquid flowed out, along with a half-transparent Little Spider Web Monster struggling and rolling out!
