Global Lords: I Have Information System

Chapter 176: Chapter 176: Marie Joins, Mars’s Investment Plan

Marie truly lives up to being a heroic-level talent; just her mindset and ideas alone are enough to make people see her in a new light.

Her heartfelt words left Master Mars speechless.

He now feels like he’s stuck in the middle, hesitant and unable to make a decision!

On one side is the clear attitude of his own daughter, and on the other is Zong Shen, who possesses great strength.

In truth, the reason Mars is so eager toward Zong Shen is that he wants to ask Zong Shen to solve a problem for him, which is one of the things he’s struggling with.

Seeing through his internal conflict, Zong Shen lays a hand on Master Mars’ shoulder.

”Don’t worry, Brother Mars, my territory is not too far from here.”

”It’s just a two-hour carriage ride away.”

”In the future, my warriors and I will provide you with assistance.”

”I am not some ruthless person; otherwise, I wouldn’t have rescued Marie from the hands of Fierce Bandit Calier.”

”For your own sake, and more so for Marie’s future, I think you should agree to let Marie join my territory.”

Zong Shen’s voice is soft, subtly helping Mars to make up his mind.

Finally, Master Mars understood everything and made a decision. His gaze solemnly fixed on Zong Shen, and he grasped his hands tightly.

”Sir, I agree to let Marie follow you. Please, take good care of her...”

”Additionally, I am planning to invest in building a new pasture in your territory.”

”Of course, I will pay you a land usage fee and also give you 10% of the monthly pasture earnings. The land will be planned by you; you just need to protect the pasture.”

Master Mars finally agreed to Marie’s request to follow Zong Shen and decided to invest in building a new large pasture in Zong Shen’s territory.

Zong Shen shook his hand firmly and smiled.

Master Mars is preparing to gradually move his business into the territory. For Zong Shen’s current territory development, businesses like Mars’ are naturally welcome, as they can increase his territory’s influence.

”Of course, you’re welcome. We currently have plenty of open land that can be developed at any time.”

Hearing Zong Shen’s words, Master Mars finally nodded with relief; he is actually gambling on the potential future of Zong Shen and his territory.

The two reached a mutual understanding, and the atmosphere became much more relaxed. Master Mars began to chat with Zong Shen.

They talked from market trade to the development of the towns and then to the nobles in Boss Bang City.

The nobles in the entire Kingdom are divided into hereditary nobles and new nobles, the two major noble groups.

Hereditary nobles, as old nobles, hold the power of the Kingdom.

New nobles are mostly war-merit nobles from the past. As wars settled, new nobles have proliferated in various Boss Cities, developing businesses, trading, and farming to accumulate wealth.

Master Mars’ father was a new noble of the Avalon Kingdom, once owning an estate, caravan, and farm in Boss Bang City.

However, by Mars’ generation, he was squeezed out by other new nobles. They took over his estate and caravan. The noble title of new nobles cannot be inherited; although they have some privileges, they cannot grasp power and can only accumulate wealth through trade, becoming local tycoons.

So the competition among new nobles is intense, even harsh.

Master Mars failed in the struggle and could only settle in Sitanos Village with his accumulated wealth.

He set up a large pasture here and lived a fairly decent life; regularly, merchants from Bang City came to purchase cattle.

However, the villages under Bang City often suffer from bandit harassment. The bandits roam everywhere, looting caravans and farms, and some powerful bandits even dare to attack entire villages, plundering all the wealth and materials, trafficking the population to slave merchants.

Although afterward, the knights from Bang City or even Giant City would certainly be dispatched to hunt them down, such things remain hard to eliminate entirely.

The Avalon Kingdom does not tightly control its vast lands; power and resources are mostly concentrated in Giant City and the kingdom’s capital above it.

They pay little attention to their subordinate Bang Cities and villages.

They allow them to develop and pioneer, and the kingdom itself is even happy to see this happen.

Of course, this is also the case for many kingdoms currently, as the continent is so vast.

After the conversation, Zong Shen understood Master Mars’ difficulties and gained more insight into the power structure under the indigenous kingdoms of this world.

As the sky outside gradually darkened, Master Mars instructed the cook to start preparing the meal and sat Zong Shen and his men at the table.

After their previous exchange, the two became quite familiar with each other. Mars no longer called Zong Shen ”Sir” but began to call him ”Younger Brother.”

”Younger Brother Zong, please allow me to bring Marie to your territory the day after tomorrow.”

”You may leave a soldier here to lead the way, and I will provide lodging and meals for the next two days.”

”Marie’s mother passed away early, and tomorrow I want to take her outside the village to pay respects to her mother.”

”Regarding the construction of the pasture, I will start preparations in the next few days, approximately within two to three weeks.”

”Also, I would like to ask for your help with something, but I’ll discuss it with you in detail after I’ve sent Marie over.”

Master Mars said to Zong Shen.

”No problem, everything will be arranged according to Brother Mars’ wishes.”

Zong Shen felt pleased as all his plans were proceeding smoothly.

In this host and guest happy atmosphere, steaming hot food was soon brought to the table.

Juicy prairie steaks were grilled to perfection, drizzled with black pepper sauce, and the aroma instantly rose.

Additionally, six large roasted chickens were served on the table, accompanied by various salads, side dishes, and fruits and vegetables to complement the meal.

Mars even personally opened several bottles of red wine from the wine cabinet. After all, the climate here is particularly suitable for cultivating grapes.

In a village, being able to enjoy such a meal is already considered very luxurious.

Zong Shen certainly wouldn’t hold back, nor would the Wolf Riders; they all began to eat ravenously.

While they do eat meat in the territory, the quality is not the same. The roasted meat in the territory usually lacks any seasoning, so it can’t be described as particularly tasty.

”I should catch a chef sometime...”

”Hmm? Why did I use the word ’catch’...”

Zong Shen thought to himself.

The current territory has taken its initial shape, and as a Lord, I should also start pursuing a quality life.

The territory is still in a very traditional big pot meal and collective distribution phase.

But as the territory develops, this phase will inevitably come to an end in the near future.

Once the territory enters a new development stage, Zong Shen will actively pursue reforms!
