Global Lords: I Have Information System

Chapter 156: Chapter 156: Demons Run Wild, Each Displays Their Godly Skill

”This works too!”

”Then I’ll leave this puppet to you, Blacksmith Uncle!”

”If you need any materials, let Wenresa know, or tell me directly!”

Zong Shen’s eyes lit up, patting the shoulder of the Dwarf Uncle.

He decided to let him handle the puppet!

The Dwarf Uncle seriously nodded, taking on the task himself.

This was the first time Zong Shen saw the Dwarf Uncle so serious.

It seemed this ancient heavy combat puppet had truly piqued his interest.

As a high-level blacksmith from the Dwarf Bronzebeard Tribe, brewing and forging were already etched into his soul.

Zong Shen left the heavy combat puppet at the entrance of the blacksmith shop, leaving a few basic-level magic energy crystals for backup, one of which could only replenish 100 points of magic energy.

Then, he left.

He stopped by two markets for a look, but the Moon God Spring listed earlier had only sold two portions.

He earned 300 Wood, 300 Ma, and 200 Stone.

The selling pace had noticeably slowed down.

However, there are tens of billions of lords, even after the newbie stage, there were still nearly forty billion left, and there were still many affluent lords who could afford it.

Zong Shen listed two more portions of ”Moon Holy Water” to replenish the stock.

Feeling leisurely, he opened the ”Channel.”

This time, he first opened ”Private Chat.” He hadn’t checked it all day, and there were already 999+ messages.

Most of them were private chats initiated through market listing information.

Some were private chats from the regional channel.

After a quick scan, most of them were useless information.

He searched for keywords like blueprint, skill book, and recruitment scroll.

There was nothing gained, as the sought-after defense building blueprints were in short supply everywhere.

Powerful skill books and recruitment scrolls were the same.

The few lords willing to trade with blueprints offered ones whose quality and functionality were rather poor.

So, Zong Shen closed the ”Private Chat” uninterestedly.

He thought of messaging Ah Ze to check on him, but remembered the scene of him with a soft mage girl on the left and a rabbit girl on the right, and dismissed the idea.

”Sigh, children have grown up...”

”Better check out the ’World Channel’ and ’Regional Channel.’”

Zong Shen shook his head and opened the ”World Channel” first.

The messages in the channel kept refreshing at an overwhelming speed.

Zong Shen quickly paused the subtitles and began to browse through them.

He spent more than half an hour doing this.

Today’s ”World Channel” had a lot more information about the Burrow Challenge, from which Zong Shen gathered some intelligence.

These burrows, like the lords, were scattered all over the continent.

The continent was very, very large, and no lord yet knew exactly how big it was.

But back in Sitanos Village, Zong Shen had learned a bit about it.

The trip from the village to Boss Bang City took about two days by carriage, roughly equivalent to several hundred kilometers in distance.

And above Bang City, there were Giant Cities.

A Giant City governed dozens of Bang Cities, and each Bang City had dozens or even hundreds of villages and settlements under its jurisdiction.

In terms of Earth, a Bang City is a large settlement comparable to a prefecture-level city, while a Giant City is akin to a provincial-level metropolis.

However, the area they cover was much larger.

As for whether there were larger administrative regions above the Giant Cities, Zong Shen hadn’t explored that yet.

Therefore, the areas where the lords were distributed each had different terrains, climates, and environments, and correspondingly, the burrow monsters that refreshed were also different.

Lords living in the mountainous Rodok Kingdom and Kujite Empire had their territories mostly in mountains and hills, where the burrows only refreshed a few zombies and sharp-toothed worms, with most being the more agile ghouls and thorned armor snakes.

Lords residing along coastal or lake-heavy regions mostly saw gargoyles, undead bone birds, and similar monsters.

It can be said they were catered specifically to regional characteristics.

Moreover, it’s worth mentioning that in the early stages of the burrow openings, a bold lord tried to enter a burrow in reverse.

Upon passing through the opening, he entered a strange space.

Inside, there was a giant teleportation gate, from which the burrow monsters emerged.

That lord even tried attacking the teleportation gate, but the next moment, the gate refreshed a large crowd of captain-level powerful monsters, scaring him into retreating at once.

Some lords also shared their insights and ”home remedies” for dealing with burrow monsters.

For instance, some lords mobilized farmers to dig a few trenches.

Others built a dozen or so cheap grass huts around their territory as bait.

Then, they would bring troops to eliminate them one by one.

Various quirky and clever methods emerged one after another.

It can be said to be like ’The Eight Immortals crossing the sea,’ each showing their own special abilities.

These insights were all gathered from the world channel, and some tricks were indeed greatly helpful in resisting the invasion of burrow monsters.

Next, Zong Shen opened the ”Regional Channel.”

The number of people in the region had decreased from 8,581 yesterday to 8,269, a reduction of 312 people compared to yesterday.

In total, the deaths in the entire region reached 1,731, accounting for a 17.31% mortality rate.

Overall, it still showed a decreasing trend.

However, it equally inspired a chilling fear upon careful thought.

This was truly a terrifying game with a super high mortality rate!

However, having survived the newbie stage meant that many lords had adapted to the rhythm.

The number of lords who failed to grasp the pace was getting smaller.

This was a process of elimination and selection, with the mortality rate expected to gradually decrease as time went on.

Exploration, challenges, and conflicts would become the main causes of lord deaths.

Each weekly challenge pushed the lords to a critical point, but it wasn’t necessarily a dead end.

It was just to maintain a state of high pressure, preventing the lords from becoming too relaxed.

It also served as a continuous process of elimination and selection, as well as a form of training and honing.

Currently, the ”Regional Channel” was also discussing the burrows.

”Fred Felix 1991413: I took out quite a few zombies today, but some of my farmers fell ill and the soldiers are very tired...”

”Guo Jun 19871019: There’s a swamp nearby. I dug a few trenches near the territory and station soldiers by them. Those foolish burrow monsters only act on instinct and easily fall into the trenches, making things much easier for me.”

”Shinagawa Yuusuke 1997921: Cool! Isn’t this just the Resident Evil I’ve been dreaming of? My soldiers and I have been battling all day, which is truly uplifting!”

”Jiang Yi 19961015: Don’t get complacent, this is just the first day. Also, haven’t you noticed? Even if we can barely fend off the monsters, the efficiency of gathering resources has dropped significantly!”

”Li Chen 1994822: Jiang Yi sis is right! I’m your little fanboy!”

...

It was truly chaos, with all sorts of situations!
