While Everyone Panicked, I Upgraded My Raft

Chapter 91: Chapter 91: Other Regions’ Journey to Glimmerstone Isle

District 1938.

Jaina Harmon was currently lurking on the World Channel.

”Ores are so hard to mine!”

”Rowan Rhodes is seriously amazing.”

”Tens of thousands of ores... what kind of method is she using?”

”A top player is a top player for a reason.”

”If only the big shot would sell her mining artifact.”

”Forget it, I’m done mining. I might as well go fish for resources in the sea; the yields from Harvest Day are much more worth it.”

”Just take a walk around the island, count it as explored, and then you can leave.”

”Since you’re already on the island, you might as well mine a little bit of everything! You might need it later!”

”True.”

”I’m just afraid of getting robbed! Can we form groups to prevent that?”

”I think that works. Let’s set a slogan.”

”Those who grouped up with me before should recognize my name! The slogan is ’Unite Against the Dark Forces.’ I’m already on Glimmerstone Isle.”

”I’m using the old slogan. Those who know, know.”

”...”

Jaina read through the information revealed on the World Channel. She scrolled back and finally found the team she had joined for the previous two islands. Only after confirming that the organizer was already on the island did she finally disembark.

After stepping onto the island, Jaina quickly regrouped with her team. She had originally been a little skeptical about what the other players were saying on the World Channel. But now, after experiencing the grueling labor of mining firsthand, she instantly realized that Rowan Rhodes was incredibly badass!

WAAAH, she wanted the other party’s mining artifact too.

However, she could only dream about it. With The Transparent persona she was currently maintaining, even if she managed to get her hands on a mining artifact, it would probably be snatched away by the people around her in an instant.

After silently following the team and mining a few types of ores, Jaina immediately returned to her raft and sped away from Glimmerstone Isle. True safety could only be guaranteed once she was certain she had left the area.

The mining team was fine since they moved as a group, deterring anyone from trying to rob them. But as for the exploration airplanes she knew of, several teams were already fighting fiercely over them on the mountains. She had even noticed a good number of players falling from the peaks. Some were lucky and survived. But those who were unlucky and had their Life Value drop to zero dissipated right in front of their eyes.

The cruel reality of the jungle law was on full display.

Jaina thought that she should be glad her raft was usually the only one in her sea area. Otherwise, the slaughter between players would only become much more frequent. At this thought, a shadow subconsciously fell over her heart, because she realized one crucial thing: the progression of the Sea Survival Game would never remain stagnant.

Players weren’t currently placed in the same sea area, but would it always be like this in the future? Jaina shuddered at the thought.

She had to work hard! She had to push herself!

The next moment, she received a transaction notification from the Sea Survival Shop.

[Trade: Healing Ointment (Unlimited Quantity)]

Jaina stared at the message, stunned. Why did the Sea Survival Shop need so much Healing Ointment? Her mind began to race. It could only mean one thing: players were likely going to need massive amounts of Healing Ointment in the near future.

Jaina let out a soft breath. The next second, she began editing the list of items she wanted in exchange. Eggs went without saying, as they were the raw materials. Aside from that, she also listed other items that would allow her raft to upgrade.

The future of the Sea Survival Game was going to become increasingly dangerous. She had to use her current skills to make herself stronger. She had previously heard a top player in her district mention that a Level 7 Raft could unlock the Medical Table. The emergence of the Medical Table would not be a good thing for her. To maintain her advantage, she had to take her potion-making ability to the next level.

She needed to seriously study other useful medical supplies.

District 5323.

Ian Sinclair was exploring the airplane at the peak of the highest mountain on Glimmerstone Isle.

After seeing someone on the World Channel deduce that Glimmerstone Isle might have abandoned airplanes—based on the items Rowan Rhodes had listed in the Sea Survival Shop—he pushed himself hard to be the first one to land on the island. Therefore, when the Engine, Steering Wheel, and battery appeared, he had been fighting relentlessly to buy them. He managed to snatch three Engines and batteries in particular. He turned them all into generators and installed them directly onto his raft.

It had to be said that with three Engines installed, his Speed increased significantly, allowing him to become the first person to set foot on the island. In no time at all, Ian had climbed to the peak and began searching the abandoned airplane.

He listed the resources on the Sea Survival Shop one after another. Ian was practically buzzing with excitement. These were all rare resources in the game. When the time came to use them, they would be incredibly valuable! Moreover, Ian was smart enough to cross-reference his finds with the items Rowan had previously uploaded, ensuring he didn’t miss anything.

Such a practice was not uncommon in the Sea Survival Shop, as he wasn’t the only one listing these relevant resources right now. However, he didn’t rely entirely on Rowan’s experience. He knew it was impossible for Rowan to have put every single resource in the Sea Survival Shop; she was definitely hiding some for herself.

Sure enough, under his relentless efforts, he finally discovered a pile of blueprints and... a Positioning Card under the pilot’s seat.

Upon seeing the Positioning Card, Ian’s pupils unconsciously contracted. He had guessed that the Sea Survival Game would inevitably involve player confrontation in the future, but he genuinely hadn’t expected this day to arrive so soon. Ian let out a soft sigh and stored the Positioning Card in his backpack.

He would wait and see how the situation unfolded.

Only the top players in each district would be capable of obtaining a Positioning Card. And top players were always ambitious. The days ahead were likely going to be restless.

Ian was suddenly struck by a sense of urgency.

He continued to search the abandoned airplane until there was absolutely nothing left to find. Then, he remembered the massive amount of resources Rowan had obtained later on. He figured they must have come from dismantling these airplanes.

He decided to give it a try himself.

Just as Ian began to use his Skill to dismantle the plane, he suddenly felt his Life Value plummeting rapidly. He immediately stopped dismantling and quickly applied Healing Ointment to himself. Seeing his Life Value regenerate, Ian let out a long sigh of relief.

She truly deserved to be the number one player on the entire server! When she dismantled things, she instantly yielded a pile of resources. When he tried to dismantle it, he almost lost his life.

Not daring to be careless this time, Ian took out the Iron Hammer he carried with him and began to dismantle the abandoned airplane. Dismantling it in the physical sense.

If he smashed it apart first and then used his dismantling Skill, it shouldn’t affect his Life Value.

Just like that, Ian began to break it down piece by piece. A while later, he had finally finished dismantling the entire abandoned airplane. Looking at the massive quantity of resources, Ian let out a long breath. Once again, he had reaped the benefits of following Rowan’s lead.

Subsequently, Ian’s gaze landed on the surrounding mountains. Next, it was time to start mining.

When he finally started to harvest ores after expending a herculean amount of effort, Ian fell silent. His eyes began to search through the Sea Survival Shop.

When exactly was the big shot going to list that mining artifact?
