The Female Lead Decides to Act Wickedly

Chapter 1260: Chapter 471: Palace Intrigue Is No Match for Rebellion (Part 8)

”Oh? The Emperor sent Lady Hu and Zheng Nianer out of the palace?”

He Tiantian quickly got the news, still holding a petition in her hand. After a brief thought, she guessed Emperor Yongcheng’s intention.

”He’s in a hurry! Wants to send away Lady Hu and her daughter to show his stance to his own mother.”

He Tiantian snorted coldly, looking down even more on Zhao Gui, the Emperor.

If it were the original character, perhaps she would have forgiven him and reconciled easily.

Unfortunately, He Tiantian is not the original character. She is not Emperor Yongcheng’s real mother, she won’t spoil him, nor will she be soft-hearted.

”Tiantian, the Emperor backed down, will you give him a chance?”

Student Xiao D took on the stance of a bystander eating melons, curiously gossiping with He Tiantian.

”What do you mean by backing down? You make it sound like I’m a vicious mother-in-law breaking up couples!”

He Tiantian smiled coldly and said with a hint of sarcasm, ”I am a kind mother, you know, for my son, I even disregarded the royal family’s dignity and honor!”

”It was he who said he didn’t want to marry Miss Wang, and he too who claimed deep affection for Zheng Nianer, unwilling to marry anyone else!”

”I did everything to fulfill his wish, I’m definitely a ’kind mother spoiling her child’!”

Student Xiao D: ... Since when did ’a kind mother spoiling her children’ become a compliment?!

Silently complaining in his mind, Student Xiao D understood what He Tiantian meant—she really has completely given up on this idiotic son, Emperor Yongcheng!

”Tiantian, if the little Emperor came to apologize? He sincerely and tearfully pleaded, would you, would you—” forgive him.

After all, as things stand, the little Emperor is really Empress Dowager He’s only support.

”...” He Tiantian was silent for a moment, then calmly said, ”No!”

”Ha? You hate him that much? Will you never forgive him?” Student Xiao D rarely saw He Tiantian so disgusted with the male lead.

Even with the recently ended harem male lead, and the true love male lead before him, He Tiantian was at most speechless, but never treated them as enemies.

Seeing Student Xiao D misunderstand, He Tiantian added, ”When I said no, I didn’t mean whether I’d forgive him or not. I mean, he won’t come to apologize to me at all!”

”Ah? How could this be? Didn’t he feel the harshness of reality and sent Lady Hu and her daughter away?”

Student Xiao D asked in surprise.

”Yes! He has already sent Lady Hu and her daughter away! What more do you expect from Emperor Yongcheng?”

He’s a spoiled brat who’s had his way with his mother, and he’s the proud Emperor of Dayuan.

Student Xiao D fixedly looked at He Tiantian, took quite a while to react.

He blinked his big eyes and said wordlessly, ”He, he couldn’t be that willful, could he?”

Did he really think he had Empress Dowager He in his pocket, as his own mother, so much that even kneeling to repent before her feels humiliating?

”You don’t believe it? Then just wait and see!”

He Tiantian said lightly, then put the matter aside and continued reviewing the petitions.

Speaking of which, she has been a Prince in the mission world and has served as a Great General, but this is her first time as a Regent Empress Dowager.

There are no small matters in governance, in the ancient times of limited transportation and communication, petitions were one of the few ways to gather information.

On the surface, these petitions are either written beautifully or sharply, but between the lines, one can always catch some useful information.

What He Tiantian needs to do is enhance political sensitivity and have enough of a big picture perspective.

Like the original author intended in the plot: there is no absolute right or wrong in politics.

Running a country can’t be mixed with too much personal feeling, nor can modern values, morality, and laws be applied to ancient matters.

He Tiantian needs to adjust herself into the role of a ”politician”, weighing pros and cons, and maintaining balance!

While performing her task, she also needs to govern this hypothetical dynasty steadily.

Thinking of the task, He Tiantian paused slightly, holding the petition.

The Wild System hadn’t arrived yet, nor had the Sacrificial Lamb female supporting character been time-traveled.

Should she give it a little push?

”Forget it, there’s so much real business to deal with, I can’t possibly think about other things right now.”

He Tiantian shook her head silently, dismissing the thought.

In the few days she’s been here, apart from the confrontation with the Emperor on the first day, He Tiantian has been busy familiarizing herself with administration, distancing herself from the original character’s connections and power.

When the late Emperor was alive, the original character was oppressed, and the old He Family forces were all split into different camps.
