The Female Lead Decides to Act Wickedly

Chapter 1256: Chapter 469: Court Intrigue Is Inferior to Rebellion (Part 6)_3

For her son, she even tolerated her greatest rival, Noble Dowager Consort Xie, and allowed her son to bestow a noble title upon Zhao Yao, fully enjoying brotherly affection!

Thirdly, looking at the past history, some women have ruled, some have regented, some have controlled the government, but there has never been an Empress!

If the Empress Dowager He truly had ambition, she would not have chosen to marry the late Emperor back then. Wouldn’t it have been better for her to conquer the world herself and become an Emperor?

It’s important to know that all things that break the rules are best done when founding a nation!

If there were a precedent at this time, the world could accept it more quickly.

... So, the Empress Dowager is still the loving mother who cares for her only son and is willing to plan for him.

Wang Yuan and those knowledgeable and intelligent people in the capital all believe Empress Dowager He is a loving mother.

The only one who disagrees is Empress Dowager He’s own son.

”She’s deliberately making things difficult for me!”

Emperor Yongcheng, having left Lady Hu, arrived at the sleeping quarters alone.

He didn’t rush to sleep but walked alone in the spacious room.

”She keeps saying she cares about me, thinking for me, but in reality, she is using this matter to teach me a lesson!”

The more Emperor Yongcheng thought about it, the angrier he became.

To marry Miss Wang and collaborate with the Wang Family was definitely the most favorable arrangement for him.

Refusing in front of the Empress Dowager, he was only trying to negotiate terms and wanted her to agree to Zheng Nianer’s entry into the palace.

Emperor Yongcheng doesn’t have much affection for the Empress Dowager but understands this convenient mother of his.

Although Empress Dowager He is a woman, she is smart, decisive, skilled in strategy, and knowledgeable in state affairs.

Emperor Yongcheng did not want to underestimate himself, but he knew deep down there is a huge difference between him and the Empress Dowager.

In Empress Dowager He’s eyes, he is just an emperor who has not grown up.

And his thoughts are easily seen through by Empress Dowager He.

”Deliberate, she must be deliberate!”

”She clearly knows my plans, yet deliberately goes along with them, putting me in a dilemma!”

”She, she—”

Thinking of these things, Emperor Yongcheng felt an overwhelming hatred.

From a young age, he resented his mother, blamed her for not being gentle and kind like Noble Consort Xie, blamed her for not winning Father Emperor’s favor, causing him to become the object of Father Emperor’s disgust.

He is also Father Emperor’s son; he too wished to be held on his knee, taught writing and archery hand in hand!

The wet nurse was right; a woman shouldn’t be too assertive.

Empress Dowager He, with her bad temper, drove the late Emperor away. It’s fine if she wasn’t favored, but she harmed him, Zhao Gui, clearly the legitimate son of Empress Yuan, yet the palace couldn’t even accommodate him.

He could only hide in a manor like a stray dog.

Later, when they grew up, Father Emperor wanted to establish the Eldest Prince Zhao Yao as Crown Prince.

For Zhao Yao, Father Emperor spared no effort and loved him dearly.

And he, the one who should have been Crown Prince, could only hide secretly in the corner, watching others’ fatherly love with longing eyes.

The bias and coldness from his biological father made the young Zhao Gui grow resentful.

His biological mother was only concerned with competing for power in front, openly and secretly competing with his father, with no regard for him at all.

The only person who gave him warmth and comfort was the well-intentioned Lady Hu.

Gradually, Zhao Gui’s heart was won over by Lady Hu, while he felt distant and resentful toward his biological mother, Lady He.

He Tiantian: ... As expected, a piece of roasted pork.

The original owner indeed made mistakes, not because she ignored her son but because she underestimated scoundrels and overestimated her ability to control everything.

But as for Emperor Yongcheng, he truly isn’t a good person either.

Misguided by Lady Hu during childhood, yet over the years, he received teachings from many great scholars, learned from famous teachers, and underwent the best elite education.

Yet he remains so muddled.

Fine, even if emotions are difficult to force, one must be smart enough.

Even if selfish, for one’s benefit, one should know to disguise oneself!

Recalling Emperor Yongcheng’s style, whether in the original storyline or the second version influenced by the ”Wild System,” this emperor truly cannot be considered wise.

Stupid, cold, even with the male lead’s halo, it cannot hide his flaws.

To which the author explains: An emperor is merely a politician, and to politicians, the world is not simply black and white, nor can judgments be made based solely on right or wrong.

A good person does not equate to a good official, and a wise emperor is not necessarily a saint.

”Yes! The author is right, so if in the future I do something not entirely kind, it shouldn’t be judged purely by right or wrong!”

He Tiantian received plots from both versions, and through them, she understood some of the author’s thoughts.

Although the author seems to be trying to whitewash their own male lead, her words are not entirely without reason.

After all, everyone knows, ”History is written by victors.”

From now on, the history books of the Dayuan Dynasty will be penned by He Tiantian herself...
