The Female Lead Decides to Act Wickedly

Chapter 745: Chapter 299 Excuse_2

Well, creating a ”genius” persona for herself felt somewhat embarrassing, but it was the best explanation He Tiantian could think of to explain her transformation.

”...from now on, I must act cautiously and thoroughly. I must never make similar mistakes again!”

He Tiantian realized that she had been too impulsive in the past, acting on whims but forgetting to cover her tracks, leaving behind questionable handles.

Like her previous firearm design improvements.

At that time, she had just received the system reward ”Gun Encyclopedia” and had time-traveled to the tumultuous Republic era, where her patriotism and dream of a powerful nation were at their purest and strongest.

After returning to reality, He Tiantian’s mind was filled with thoughts of contributing to the country.

With her advanced knowledge of firearms, she tried to improve a few commonly-used guns in the active service.

It really was an impulse move by He Tiantian, as she hadn’t considered how a high school girl, who had never handled firearms and was not a military enthusiast, could identify deficiencies in active firearms and then improve them.

It was similar to how she suddenly revealed her martial arts skills earlier.

Oh right, and there was also the earlier artificial intelligence...

Sigh, there were too many loopholes, and she found it hard to justify herself.

If this were in a fictional world, she would have been suspected and unmasked long ago.

In reality, although failures are not as frequent as in the fictional worlds, if there wasn’t a plausible explanation, she would continue to attract attention and skepticism.

Alas, it was mainly because her mindset wasn’t mature enough; she wanted to show off too much, so---

He Tiantian soberly recognized her shortcomings and tried to find a way to remedy them.

”Genius” was the best explanation after all.

And He Tiantian had received Shen Yan’s Super Brain, which developed her brain capacities.

Her cognitive, logical, and memory abilities were significantly stronger than before, so creating a genius persona wasn’t too difficult.

He Tiantian was sitting in the back seat, head down, holding her phone; she seemed to be browsing, but her mind was actually wandering.

Yuan Hao had lost interest in chatting and focused on driving.

Occasionally, while waiting for a traffic light, he glanced at the rearview mirror.

Through the rearview mirror, seeing He Tiantian behaving like those addicted to their phones, Yuan Hao did not pay much attention.

This is just an ordinary high school girl, why does the leadership value her so much?

Yuan Hao shook his head secretly and pressed hard on the accelerator; the car’s engine roared as it raced into the Provincial City.

In less than two hours, the vehicle arrived at a military base in the western suburbs of the Provincial City.

He Tiantian finally lifted her head from her phone and looked through the car window at the mountains on both sides of the road.

”...this is our military region’s comprehensive training base, which includes a dedicated testing range.”

Yuan Hao glanced at the rearview mirror, caught He Tiantian’s curious gaze, and casually introduced it.

He Tiantian nodded but said nothing.

But she knew herself when she saw such a military training base, it was as if she had entered a military camp; her muscles couldn’t help but tense, and her blood boiled.

When they arrived at the gate, Yuan Hao stopped the car, showed his credentials to the guard, and introduced He Tiantian’s identity before they were allowed in.

As they just entered through the gate, they heard the sounds of slogans and footsteps from the training field.

A distinct military atmosphere hit them, and He Tiantian instinctively straightened her back.

After bypassing the training field and passing through the barracks, the car finally drove into an open area.

This was probably the shooting range.

He Tiantian gazed far off, noticing targets and shooting markers at the foot of the mountain on the other side of the range.

”This must be Ms. He Tiantian.”

The car smoothly parked on the side, and as He Tiantian got out, she saw a group of people coming to greet her.

The leader was a man in his forties wearing a military uniform, holding several blueprints, and smiling warmly at He Tiantian.

He Tiantian quickly stood at attention, raised her head, puffed out her chest, and replied loudly, ”I am He Tiantian!”

It wasn’t known if it was a coincidence, but in all the time-traveling novel worlds He Tiantian had been to, none involved her experiencing military service or training.

The only time she got close to a military camp was in the script ”All Family Scum.”

In that book, He Tiantian, to maintain the original character setup and complete her mission, even had to unwillingly insult her ”fiance” who was a soldier.

Alas, heaven knows how repulsive and awkward He Tiantian felt at the time, despite her deep respect and admiration for soldiers, yet the system forced her to play the villain.
