The Female Lead Decides to Act Wickedly

Chapter 397: Chapter 177: The Female Lead’s Aunt (Part 15)_3

”My uncle?” Su Muxue feigned confusion, ”I, my little uncle came to sketch—”

Before she could finish her sentence, Leng Mo strode over to Su Muxue with his long legs.

Step by step he closed in, and Su Muxue involuntarily retreated step by step.

Finally, with nowhere left to go, Su Muxue fell onto the sofa with a thump.

Yet Leng Mo pressed in close, one hand bracing on the sofa beside Su Muxue, the other lifting her chin, ”Muxue, you are a smart girl. Given how things have unfolded, you must have already guessed!”

Su Muxue forcefully twisted her neck, freeing her chin from that sticky palm.

Incredulous, she cried out, ”Impossible! Little uncle is my only close relative, my own uncle, he, he couldn’t possibly betray me!”

This time, Su Muxue was not entirely pretending.

Although she had braced herself, she had never imagined that her own little uncle would personally deliver her to such a repulsive man like Leng Mo.

What about delivering paint, what about Nanshan Inn!

All of this was a trap set against her.

And the suite she was in was to become the cage that would imprison her.

”No way around it, he has leverage on me. And this time with the holographic technology, he really botched it!”

Although he had acquired the technology, Leng Mo was still very unhappy.

Zhao Yongkang exposing himself was one thing, but to inadvertently capture Zhou Zhou’s face as well.

For the sake of his and the entire Leng Group’s reputation and image, Leng Mo had no choice but to sacrifice the pawn to save the king.

And Zhou Zhou was very clever; assuring that his family received excellent provision, and that they could immigrate abroad if necessary, he voluntarily took the blame.

He proclaimed that colluding with Zhao Yongkang to steal the He Group’s technology was solely his personal decision, having nothing to do with Leng Mo or the Leng Group.

He Tiantian revoked the accusation against Zhao Yongkang, and Zhou Zhou didn’t really go to prison.

However, his reputation in the circles was completely ruined, and after being resolutely ”dismissed” by the Leng Group, he couldn’t be employed by any other companies.

He sacrificed his decades of career prospects for his family’s prosperity, which would have been bearable if he still landed in jail, out of sight, out of mind.

But he didn’t end up in prison; he continued to live with his family.

At first, his family appreciated his sacrifice, but as time went on and Zhou Zhou remained idle, squandering incessantly, they began to complain.

Eventually, unable to tolerate Zhou Zhou’s ”prodigality” and ”lack of ambition,” they secretly went to Overbearing Boss Leng’s new assistant, requesting the Leng Family fulfill their promise to send them abroad.

After another night out when Zhou Zhou returned home drunken, he found the doors locked and his family gone.

Upon sobering up and learning everything, Zhou Zhou was filled with silent fury, which he directed at Leng Mo.

He felt that the Overbearing Boss was too heartless. After all that he had done for him, even taking the blame, it had come down to this.

Zhou Zhou grew to hate his former master and secretly began plotting his revenge.

Of course, these are stories for another time.

Leng Mo still didn’t know; he thought he had treated Zhou Zhou fairly.

His only annoyance was Zhao Yongkang’s incompetence, which had implicated the Leng Family.

Though Zhou Zhou was just a replaceable assistant, training a new one would still be a waste of energy.

Just for that alone, Leng Mo couldn’t stand Zhao Yongkang.

Later, Zhao Yongkang did not hesitate to betray his own niece, which made Leng Mo despise him even more.

This is probably the mentality of the strong; they respect another strong person but feel no kindness for a lackey groveling at them.

”But fortunately, Zhao Yongkang is not completely useless. Look, he has delivered you right to my side! And by now, he should have quickly left in his car.”

Leng Mo leaned over to look at Su Muxue, who was almost curling into a ball, feeling a mix of pity but mostly triumphant satisfaction.

You naughty little thing, no matter how much you run, you can’t escape the palm of my hand.

”Muxue, just accept your fate. This life of yours is destined to be—”

He hadn’t finished the word ”mine” when Leng Mo abruptly widened his eyes.

What, what was happening to him?

Why couldn’t he move all of a sudden?

This feeling, it was somewhat like a nightmare; despite his struggles, he, he just couldn’t move.

Not just his limbs, even his tongue seemed to be numb, totally devoid of sensation, let alone able to speak!

Su Muxue withdrew her finger, swiftly flipped her body, and nimbly slid out from beneath Overbearing Boss Leng.

Accept fate?

Ha, she, Su Muxue, had never believed in destiny, nor would she ever bow to it!

She cracked her fingers, the joints popping crisply.

Outside, thunder and lightning clashed, and the torrential rain poured down...
