The Female Lead Decides to Act Wickedly

Chapter 365: Chapter 167: Tormented Female Lead’s Aunt (Part 5)

”He Group pulled an all-nighter for a meeting, trying to find a way out of the crisis?”

Leng Mo sat on the sofa, his tall frame elegantly crossed at his long legs, a tablet resting on his knee.

With his right hand, he swirled a glass of red wine while his left lightly glided across the screen.

His handsome yet indifferent face bore a mix of mockery, cold detachment, and unbridled amusement as he glanced at the news online, as if it were some sort of joke.

”It seems that this President He is quite the doting aunt!”

The Overbearing Boss’s trademark thin lips were lightly pursed, carving out an expression that seemed stoic but was perceived by subordinates as unfathomable, aloof, and arrogant.

”President Leng, should I go talk to President He again tomorrow?”

Assistant Zhou stood at the side, the very image of an exemplary subordinate.

In Leng Mo’s presence, he showed none of the arrogance he had before He Sitian, just deference and humility.

He leaned forward slightly, tentatively asking, ”Should I also press the He Group a bit?”

By the time the stock market opens tomorrow, they intended to send He Group’s share prices plummeting beyond recovery!

”Hmm, it would be good for you to take a look!”

Leng Mo didn’t even consider He Group a real threat, just a small local corporation believing itself to be a financial empire with assets of a mere ten billion or so?!

If Leng Mo hadn’t taken an interest in Su Muxue, if he hadn’t found out after some investigation that she was related to the He Group, he wouldn’t have even bothered with such a minor group.

And then there was He Sitian, nothing more than a capricious Eldest Miss who only knew how to shop. And she had the audacity to play the role of a strong businesswoman?

Leng Mo was an extreme chauvinist at heart, looking down on women by nature.

He believed women should stay at home, supporting their husbands, raising children, and managing household affairs.

If the husband and children were well-cared for, allowing men to strive without worries, wasn’t that plenty good enough?

Why bother coming out and competing with a bunch of men for visibility?

Especially in the business world, which was inherently a man’s battlefield. What was a woman doing getting involved?

Was she able to drink, smoke, go horse riding, and play golf with the men?!

Even a slight joke could be escalated by these women into a major issue.

What about discrimination against women, what about sexual harassment?

Hmph, if they were afraid of these things, then why come out to work at all? Like in the past, men work outside, women stay inside, become a relaxed and beautiful Full-time Housewife, isn’t that better?!

Anyway, in Overbearing Boss Leng’s view, women should be gentle and virtuous, just like the women of Japan, serving men as their foremost duty!

At the very least, they should be like the women of Cosmic Country, who would prepare thirty days’ worth of meals and clean clothes for their husbands, even if they were going to the hospital to give birth.

Leng Mo, as an Overbearing Boss with power and influence, also had a bit of a ”Genji complex.”

He fantasized about grooming a bride perfect to his liking, like Genji from Japan, according to his personal preferences!

Young, beautiful, delicate yet with a sparkle in her eyes, Su Muxue, from head to toe, every quality she possessed seemed to fit perfectly with Leng Mo’s aesthetic.

Sitting in the VIP section of the auditorium, watching that fresh-faced girl dance on stage, Leng Mo felt a desire surge within him unlike any he’d felt before—he wanted her!

To achieve this goal, Leng Mo would stop at nothing.

To crush a small local group company with a market value of a few billion and hundreds of employees was nothing more than a word away for Leng Mo.

”It’s getting cold, the He Family should go bankrupt now!”

Leng Mo had once thought He Sitian was smart, that after understanding his intentions, she would make a wise decision.

But as it turned out...

Leng Mo gently swirled his glass and downed the already decanted red wine—since she didn’t take the toast, then let’s go straight to the penalty drink.

Leng Mo felt that only if the He Family went bankrupt would He Sitian truly learn her lesson and fully grasp how she should choose.

”Yes, President Leng!”

Assistant Zhou, hearing the phrase ”Tianliang Wangpo” again, didn’t find the line touching, nor was he going to awkwardly carve out a luxury duplex.

He simply felt an inexplicable excitement, with every hair on his body standing on end.

Good! That He Sitian really did deserve a lesson.

In the afternoon, Assistant Zhou had already made his point clear, stopping just short of outright threats.

And yet, He Group still went ahead and convened an all-night meeting.

Ha, did He Sitian think that under the pressure of Leng’s, He Group still had the slightest chance to struggle or take a breath?

Dream on!

Perhaps from spending too much time around the Overbearing Boss, Assistant Zhou had also acquired some of that Kingly Aura.
