Reborn In The 90's: Saving My Siblings With A Fishing System

Han Ruochen had no idea that Qiao Tingyan was having such despicable thoughts. If she did, then she would have definitely rolled her eyes and spat on the face of the man. Did he think that their Han family was too easy to bully? Even if she had to go to the sea every day until she turned eighty, she would still rather raise her sister than let Qiao Tingyan bully her.

”Grandma, I will leave my sister in your care.” Han Ruochen picked up the bag that she had packed earlier and looked at her grandmother with a sombre look in her eyes. ”If the Qiao family comes looking for my sister, just tell them to talk to my big brother or my dad. Don’t let my sister go back with them.” She had already told Old Madam Han about Xiao Ai and made sure that her grandmother understood her reasoning.

Old Madam Han snorted. ”You don’t have to worry about such things. That brat from the Qiao family must be dreaming if he thinks that he can take Xuehan back after bullying her like this.” Old Madam Han was old, but she was not senile. She naturally did not want her granddaughter to divorce, but she would also not agree to her getting bullied either. What kind of man was Qiao Tingyan? Did he have a throne to inherit? Since he didn’t, why was he in a hurry to have a child?

And Han Ruochen was right. It was not always the fault of a woman; sometimes the fault also lay with the men. What if they were not capable enough to have a child?

How dare that brat push the blame on the head of her granddaughter? He even brought back a woman to have a child with him. Qiao Tingyan even dared to bully her granddaughter in such a despicable manner, and yet he hoped that their family would not make a fuss? Not possible!

Han Ruochen was correct. Since Qiao Tingyan dared to bring a mistress home, then he needed to kowtow at least and apologise to her granddaughter.

Without it, she would never let that man take her granddaughter away.

When Han Ruochen saw that her grandmother had agreed, she heaved a sigh of relief. It was a good thing that her grandmother was willing to take care of her sister; this way she wouldn’t have to worry about her sister being bullied by that bastard Qiao Tingyan.

By the time she arrived at the docks, it was already twelve a.m. Clouds had started to gather in the sky, turning the already murky and darker sea even darker. Han Ruochen was carrying a lamp in her hand as she looked at the sky; from what the sea scanning system was telling her, she knew that there would be no storms tonight.

However, when she glanced at the sea, she had to admit that the weather did look a bit troublesome.

Should I tell Tong Zhaodi that I don’t want her to come with me? Han Ruochen thought worriedly. She was not worried about the sea scanning system helping her out, but she was certainly worried about Tong Zhaodi. What if the woman ended up spiralling out of control due to her anxiety?

The sound of footsteps came from behind her, and Han Ruochen turned around. She thought that it was Tong Zhaodi, but as soon as she looked back, she realised that Tong Zhaodi did not come alone; Tong Hao came with her.

”Ruochen, how are you doing?” Tong Hao smiled amicably at Han Ruochen.

When Han Ruochen saw him, a frown etched on her face, and she turned to look at Tong Zhaodi. She silently asked the girl what was going on. As far as she knew, there was no need for Tong Hao to follow Tong Zhaodi tonight. The docks were not that far from the Tong family’s house.

Of course, Tong Zhaodi understood Han Ruochen’s gaze and silently wept in her heart. She had no idea what to say to Han Ruochen. She had no idea why her mother and Tong Hao were inclined to get closer to Han Ruochen; even when she told them that Han Ruochen would never pay attention to Tong Hao, the two of them did not listen to her. Instead, she beat her up and told her not to jinx it!

Looking at Han Ruochen’s cold expression, Tong Zhaodi was now exceptionally worried. Would Han Ruochen kick her out? She had a feeling that Han Ruochen would definitely be upset with her. Earlier, Tong Hao wanted to take advantage of the dark and ruin Han Ruochen’s reputation, and now he was calling her so intimately. What was he thinking?

”Tong Hao, we are not that close. I would like it if you didn’t call me by my name.” Han Ruochen frowned and stated coldly. She knew that the Tong family was shameless, but she never thought that they would be so shameless. Tong Han actually came looking for her and even pretended to be close with her. Was he thinking of using rumours to get engaged to her? If that was the case, then he was dreaming.

Tong Hao’s face flushed red when he heard Han Ruochen’s cold retort. If it was a man with thin skin, he would have definitely turned around and left, but Tong Hao’s skin was thicker than most. He immediately turned calm and said to Han Ruochen, ”Sister Ruochen, do we really need to be so distant? You have taken care of Zhaodi for so long. We from the Tong family now treat you as our own. There is no need for you to draw a line with us so cleanly.”

As he spoke, he could not help but look at Han Ruochen with a hint of grievance in his eyes.

Han Ruochen sneered; she knew what the man was planning to do and did not play along with him. ”What do you mean by taking Zhaodi? She is my employee, and I am her employer; there is no relationship beyond this. Just because I have treated her fairly, don’t try to close the distance between us! I am not going to fall for it. I hope you will remember what our relationship is like before making such statements in the future.”
