Reborn In The 90's: Saving My Siblings With A Fishing System

”Haha.” Han Ruochen laughed coldly. Her dad was injured, but he was out of danger. He was not like Meng Yunhan, who would be angered to death. Anyway, even if he got angry, she was not the one who did anything wrong. As for why Meng Yunhan was so adamant about getting the money from her, Han Ruochen knew very well that it had something to do with Yun Xinye instead of her dad.

Meng Yunhan was breathing so hard that she was fuming through her nostrils. She raised her foot and kicked the door many times, but Han Ruochen did not respond to her tirade. When Meng Yunhan saw that even after throwing a long tantrum, her daughter was not willing to open the door for her, she knew that the girl was not going to listen to her.

She huffed in anger and went back to her room. These brats! They were simply determined to go against her, were they not?

On one side, she was angry, and on the other side, she was filled with anxiety. How was she going to face Yun Xinye?

Because she was so angry at Han Ruochen, she couldn’t help but scold Han Xuehan as she passed by her room. She called her eldest daughter a jinx and whatnot and even blamed her for causing the accident to her father in a roundabout way.

Han Xuehan, who was hiding in her room, couldn’t help but shed a few tears when she heard the words of her mother. It was not that she didn’t know that her mother was just taking her anger out on her, but Han Xuehan still couldn’t help but feel hurt. Her eyes turned red, and she sobbed silently in the silence of the night.

It was only when Meng Yunhan heard her cry that she left with a satisfied smile on her face.

”Sigh...” Han Ruochen heaved heavily when she heard the cries of her elder sister. She knew that her elder sister still had some hope toward their mother, and it was because of this hope that she felt hurt after listening to the harsh words of her mother. Though Han Ruochen felt hurt, she did not rush to comfort her sister. It would be better if her sister could get used to the harsh words of their mother.

Only when her heart was completely shattered by Meng Yunhan would her sister learn her lesson.

Han Ruochen knew that her actions were a bit hard-hearted, but there was nothing else to be done. Who asked her sister to be so soft-hearted? If her temper were not tempered, how would her sister survive in this world? Would she, her younger sister, have to take care of her elder sister all of her life?

Shaking her head, Han Ruochen covered her head with the blanket and closed her eyes.

She would deal with this matter in the morning.

”Sister, did you cry all night?” Han Ruochen asked with a raised brow as her sister walked into the kitchen. Today, Zhai Muchen had sent her an entire chicken, but Han Ruochen did not dare to show it to her family. She sent half of the chicken to her grandmother and kept the rest for her father and Han Beijiang.

Han Xuehan sniffed softly. She wanted to speak, but her throat was hoarse, and she could not say a word.

Seeing her like this, even if Han Ruochen wanted to ignore her, she could not help but sigh. ”Sister, why are you taking Mom’s words to heart? You already know that she doesn’t care about anyone when she is angry.” She wanted to tell her sister that their mother did not care about them, but Han Ruochen held back. Compared to her, Han Xuehan still believed that they needed to be filial to their parents.

Han Xuehan lowered her head. ”Mom is not fully wrong. Ever since I came back home, one thing after another keeps happening. Maybe I am really a—”

”Stop!” Han Ruochen banged the ladle on the pot and turned to look at her sister solemnly. She knew that her mother was really good when it came to brainwashing others, but she never thought that her mother was this good. She tried to suppress her frustration with her mother and said to her sister, ”Elder sister, I am not trying to scold you. But what you are thinking is not correct. First of all, the accident was not your fault. Dad’s job is somewhat dangerous to begin with. Secondly, if we start digging into the matter, then the fault lies with our mother. If she hadn’t spent the savings of our family, then Dad wouldn’t have fallen into such a pathetic condition.”

Looking at her sister’s eyes, which were swollen like walnuts, Han Ruochen sighed. ”Sister, you need to be a little sensible. Don’t listen to everything that others tell you; at least use your brain, or else you will be wronged to death.”

Her sister’s temper was way too soft. Just a few words from their mother made her sister cry like this; she was worried that her sister would be schemed to death by her mother. Compared to her, Meng Yunhan still controlled her tongue when she was scolding Han Xuehan. If her elder sister was scolded in the same fashion as her, wouldn’t she cry until she flooded the house? Han Ruochen couldn’t help but wonder in silence.

She turned her back on her sister and took a sip of the shredded chicken porridge. The taste was just right, and the chicken was cooked as well. Seeing this, she turned off the stove and started to scoop the porridge into the lunchbox. ”Anyway, mother has never been kind to us. So there is no point in taking her words to heart.”

When Han Xuehan heard the words of her sister, she couldn’t help but frown. She knew that Han Ruochen had some opinions about their mother but it seemed like it was more than that. Han Ruochen simply did not respect their mother. This was truly unfilial.
