Reborn In The 90's: Saving My Siblings With A Fishing System

Second Aunt Han knew that she could not tell her mother-in-law the truth. These days, life at home had gotten better, and she was now used to delivering a lot of meat and rice to her natal family. But because Han Ruochen refused to bring Second Han with her, finances at home suddenly became strapped. Second Han was not good when it came to fishing and could only catch a few things to sell.

Because she was only bringing eggs to her mother, her sisters-in-law had something to say about her. Though Second Aunt Han knew that what her sisters-in-law said was not right, she still could not help but say some sour words to Han Xuehan. Who would have thought that her mother-in-law would end up listening to those words and end up getting angry? If she had known that her mother-in-law was in the next room, then she would have never said a word.

”Lie, lie, lie! Keep lying!” Old Madam Han continued to hit Second Aunt Han with a broom. ”Do you think I am a fool? I am putting this right here. If you want to act like a brother-loving demon, then you are free to do so, but do it if you are capable. Go and find a job tomorrow. You can do whatever you want after that.”

Old Madam Han felt upset and embarrassed when she recalled the heartless words this daughter-in-law of hers said to Han Xuehan. She was speaking as if Han Ruochen owed something to Second Han and it was her responsibility to take Second Han to the sea every day. What was the situation right now? Han Ruochen’s father and her eldest son were admitted to the hospital. Their family was already having enough trouble as it was; on top of that, Second Aunt Han was causing trouble for Han Ruochen.

”Mom?” Second Aunt Han was stunned when she heard her mother-in-law telling her to get a job. Where would she get a job? And that too at such an age?

”What, Mom? Don’t you look down on my son because he cannot give you the life you want? Then go out and earn some money. Let me see it too! I want to see how capable you are.”

Old Madam Han did not show a good face to her daughter-in-law. Don’t think that she did not know what was going on in the mind of this woman. She did not turn her hair white under the sun. She had more experience than this woman had eaten grains.

Looking at the dumbfounded expression on Second Aunt Han’s face, she sneered. ”Remember you are not allowed to take even a single bowl of rice to your brothers’ families now. If you want to dote on them, then you need to start earning, and after that you can do whatever you want! Spend the money as you like; I will not stop you, but don’t you dare to rely on my son and granddaughter!”

Looking at the actions of her second daughter-in-law, it seemed like her in-laws were getting more and more outrageous. In the past, they would feel grateful whenever her second daughter-in-law brought something home, but now they were actually acting as if they were being handed alms? It seemed like she had to regain control of the second branch as well, or else things would become troublesome.

”Mom, I—”

Second Aunt Han wanted to quibble, but she was silenced by her mother-in-law’s glare. Her heart could not help but feel stifled. Where was she going to get a job? And her mother-in-law? She was just too biased! She only said a few words to Han Xuehan, and her mother-in-law was so quick to cause trouble for her. She had completely forgotten that all these years, it was the second branch that took care of her while the first branch did not even take a look at how the old woman was living.

Just because her grandchildren came to look for her a few times, her mother-in-law was rushing to take care of those unfilial brats.

However, even though she was not happy, Second Aunt Han did not say anything and walked inside the house.

Once she left, Han Ruochen, who was standing outside the gates, knocked on the metallic surface.

”Ruochen, what are you doing here?” When Old Madam Han saw Han Ruochen standing outside, she was stunned. At the same time, her old face turned embarrassed. She wondered how much Han Ruochen had listened to her scolding just now.

Han Ruochen pretended not to know anything and simply replied, ”Grandma, where is second uncle? I am going to the sea. Since it has been a while, I will take him along to the shore with me.”

”Ruochen, there is no need. Your second aunt...you know that her mind is not clear...” Old Madam Han knew that Han Xuehan had relayed what happened to Han Ruochen, and even if she did not tell the exact situation, she must have said something to Han Ruochen that caused the little girl to come looking for her second uncle.

Old Madam Han felt embarrassed. Her second son was such a big man, but he was still relying on his niece. Even if her second daughter-in-law did not have the shame to say such things, she was ashamed!

”Grandma, it’s alright. I am going to the sea anyway; let my second uncle come with me.” Han Ruochen also knew that what her second aunt said was wrong, but she also remembered the kindness that her uncle had shown to her when she was locked up by Han Ziyan. It was because her second uncle insisted that Han Ziyan had done something to her that caused his life to be lost. Even if such a thing never happened in this life, Han Ruochen knew that she owed a life to her second uncle.

Thus, even though her second aunt was not a good person, she was willing to take her second uncle along with her.
