Reborn In The 90's: Saving My Siblings With A Fishing System

Anyway, take it as if she owed her second uncle.

When Old Madam Han heard Han Ruochen insist, she did not know what to say. But in her heart, her dissatisfaction grew even more with her second daughter-in-law. Without comparison there was no harm, but if there was no comparison, then there was a lot of harm. In the past, the second aunt was able to escape the scrutiny of her mother-in-law because of Meng Yunhan.

Old Madam Han was quite dissatisfied with Meng Yunhan, and thus, she did not take the second aunt’s actions to heart. In comparison to Meng Yunhan, who brought countless things to her natal home, Second Aunt Han did not seem too extreme. But now things were different. Meng Yunhan was closely watched by Old Madam Han and Han Yichen; she could not bring anything to her natal home.

Compared to that, Second Aunt Han’s actions seemed to have become more and more outrageous. In the past, it was only some coarse grains, but now it had moved to eggs and meat. If this went on, then wouldn’t her son be raising his family as well as Second Aunt Han’s family?

”Alright, I know that you are filial. I will ask your second uncle to follow you, but Ruochen...can you give your uncle’s salary to me? Your uncle is a simple man and doesn’t think much. He hands all the salary to his wife. I am afraid that with your aunt’s loose hands, it will be the Chen family who will end up benefiting from your second uncle’s hard work.” Old Madam Han had seen things through. Her second son was a simple man and did not have many thoughts.

Whatever he earns, he ends up giving it all to his wife; after all, the woman of the house was supposed to be in charge of taking care of everything at home. But her second daughter-in-law was not a good woman, and she could not trust her with money anymore. Her hands had become more and more loose these past few days; who knows how much money she might have already lent to her maternal family. She did not even dare to think about it.

But Old Madam Han did not want to embarrass her second son by poking her nose in the matters of husband and wife, so she had held herself back from speaking too much.

Han Ruochen nodded. She did not want to interfere too much with the matters of the second branch lest her aunt say that she was stretching her hands too far. Since her grandmother said that she was going to call her second uncle, Han Ruochen sat down on the stone table and picked up the book that was lying in the middle.

”Cousin, what are you doing here? Are you here to ask for money from my parents?” Just as Han Ruochen finished reading a few pages, she heard a timid voice and raised her head from the book. Her eyes fell on Han Xiu, the eldest daughter of her second uncle and aunt.

She frowned hard when she heard Han Xiu’s question. ”Who told you that I am here to borrow money from your parents? I came to take your father to the shore.”

When Han Xiu heard that her third cousin was there to take her father to the sea, she could not help but frown in confusion. ”But eldest uncle said that you and your family are a bunch of leeches and will take my father’s money to treat your father. Even my mom said so.”

Han Ruochen: ”...”

She was speechless. She did not know who told such a thing to her little cousin, but she had to say that the person was quite talented. To think that they actually came up with such a good lie.

Though Han Ruochen was angry, she suppressed the bad breath in her heart and said, ”There is no such thing. Cousin has enough money to treat her father. I don’t need your dad to take out any money for me.” Though she did not lose her temper with her cousin, Han Ruochen was heartbroken by what her second aunt had done. Even if she was not a good person; she had never done anything to let her second uncle down. How could her aunt say such heartless words? Just because her second uncle lent their family a hundred yuan, her second aunt was making such a fuss? Surely, she had provided much more benefits to her uncle and aunt than a hundred yuan. So what if they lent her a few hundred yuan?

Han Ruochen was upset, but she did not say anything. Who asked her family to be riddled with such women?

In the end, it was their fault for choosing good women.

Inside the house, Second Aunt Han was making a fuss in front of her husband. She wiped the tears off the corner of her eye and continued sobbing, ”Your mother is too much. I just gave a few things to my family, and she scolded me bloody. It was as if I had taken over the entire family’s savings and handed it all to my brother. No matter how bad I am, I am still better than your sister-in-law. Yet, your mom beat me up like this. What does she mean? Second Han, I am telling you, you better talk with your mother. I am not like your eldest sister in law! I have brothers to back me up, if I lose my temper, you and your family will have a hard time.”

Second Aunt Han had two brothers and she believed that she had a good relationship with her brothers and maternal family. Thus, she threatened her husband without a care. She believed that as long as she complained to her brothers, they would come to fight for her.

Second Uncle Han was having a headache when he heard Chen Hui’s cries. He rubbed his forehead and parted his lips, ”You—”
