Reborn In The 90's: Saving My Siblings With A Fishing System

Meng Yunhan wanted to talk with Han Ruochen properly, but after seeing her daughter guarding against her as if she were guarding against thieves, Meng Yunhan was so angry that she lost all rationality. She raised her hand and slammed it on Han Ruochen’s door again before roaring, ”Han Ruochen! Can you not hear what I am saying? Have you turned deaf?”

”I can hear what you are saying, but no. I am not going to open the door.” Han Ruochen frowned and refused. She knew that her mother did not have any good intentions. Why would she foolishly open the door and let the woman cause trouble for her? Given how furious and angry her mother sounded, the chances of her hitting her were rather high. Why would she be so foolish as to open the door of her room?

”You!” Meng Yunhan was so angry that she wished she could tear the door down. ”You wretched girl, your wings have really grown stiff. You actually have the audacity to lock the door. Open the door right now, or else I will not leave you alone.”

Han Ruochen was in a really bad mood. She had spent two days at sea and did not sleep a wink; even when she returned home, she hurried out to take care of her father at the hospital. She was so tired that her entire body was aching from top to bottom. But instead of letting her sleep, her mother was causing trouble for her. It was bad enough that she could not help their family, but she was also acting as a hindrance to her rest!

She glanced at the door with a look of frustration. ”Mom, can’t we discuss this matter in the morning? I am tired after spending two days at the sea.”

”No! This is important.”

”What kind of important matter do you have that cannot wait till morning?” Han Ruochen asked with a yawn. She had an inkling that it was related to the Yun family and was rather annoyed. After all, her mother would only get this active when it came to Yun Xinye.

”First open the door.” Meng Yunhan did not want to talk through the door. She had a feeling that if she did not twist Han Ruochen’s ear and make her submit, this wretched girl would not agree. So she was determined to get her to open the door. In the past, whenever she punished Han Ruochen physically, this girl would submit to her. Now Han Yichen was not at home, and she could use this to her advantage!

”Mom, do you think I am a fool?” Han Ruochen rolled her eyes when she saw that Meng Yunhan was adamant about making her open the door. She said to her mother, ”Just say what you want; I am listening. There is no need for the two of us to sit down and have a heart-to-heart talk in the middle of the night.” She knew her mother too well, and even though the two of them were separated by a door, she knew what her mother was planning.

”What else but...” Meng Yunhan wanted to scold Han Ruochen, but then she remembered that Han Ruochen had the money in her hands, and she calmed down. ”Your dad is injured and can no longer work. We have a lot of expenses at home, and I cannot earn a lot of money. You are no longer young and have some responsibility toward your family as well. It is not convenient for you to keep the money to yourself. Besides, you are not skilled in managing household expenses. Han Ruochen, listen to me and hand me the money. I will buy some tonics for your dad and take care of the expenses at home.”

Han Ruochen snorted. She knew that there was something wrong with her mother. ”Mom, to tell you the truth, I have already used all the money to repay the money that you have borrowed. I don’t have another penny left in my hands. Even if I do, it’s barely enough to buy a bag of rice and nothing else.”

”What? You...have you lost your mind? We are in such a dire situation; why would you repay the money so quickly? Do you not care about your dad at all?” Meng Yunhan was so angry that she almost vomited blood. She had borrowed more than twenty thousand yuan; she planned for Han Yichen to get better and then return the money to those men while she could use Han Ruochen’s money to fill the pockets of the Yun family. She had a good plan, but Han Ruochen was not willing to let her do what she wanted.

”If I did not care about my dad, then I would have never borrowed the money in the first place. Mom, you need to seek your conscience before scolding me. You couldn’t even come up with the money to help Dad with his surgery. And yet you are trying to have designs on me. Rather than questioning me about the money, you should start worrying about how you will explain the matter to Dad.” It seemed like locking the door was the right thing to do; if she had left it open, her mother would have rushed in and then searched her room like she was a thief.

Her worries were not at all groundless.

Meng Yunhan, who was standing outside the room, was so angry that she turned green with anger. ”How dare you!? How can you even think of telling such a thing to your dad? Do you want to infuriate him to death? You know that if you tell him the truth, then you will push him to his untimely death!”

”How can you blame me for this? Mom, I did not borrow the money. Even if Dad dies from anger, I will have a clear conscience. If anyone is to blame in this situation, then it is you, Mom!”
