Reborn In The 90's: Saving My Siblings With A Fishing System

”Ruochen, is Dad still angry?”

Han Ruochen’s train of thought paused abruptly when she heard her brother’s voice. She raised her head and looked at her brother with a frown on her face. ”Of course he is angry. He got into an accident, and yet his family couldn’t help him when he needed it the most. If you were in his shoes, wouldn’t you be angry, brother?”

Han Yong flushed red in embarrassment. Indeed, if it were him, he would also be angry.

”Ruochen, I—”

”Don’t say anything. Just try to work hard in the future. Dad is not angry at you but at your lack of action; you clearly had such a good set of cards, but you played them all badly. Look at what my sister-in-law did. I have no intention of sowing discord between you and her, but in the end, it’s the truth. Sister-in-law and her family took your money, and when you needed it, they did not give you a penny. What is the point of letting them ride on your head when you can’t even protect your own father?”

Han Ruochen did not want to hear the excuses of her brother. She hoped that he would pick himself up and stop acting like a little fool every then and now. By acting all muddleheaded and wallowing in his own self-pity, he was only causing trouble for himself and his family.

Look at Xu Yuanshu. That woman did not appear from the start to the end; she did not even come to see if her father-in-law had gotten better or not. Such a woman was simply not worthy of their family.

”I know.” Han Yong rubbed his hands on his face and tried to pick himself up. Now that his father was out of danger, he should start looking for a job. ”You two pack up; I will take you two home. Once we are back home, I will go to the county and talk with my master. He did say that there was a place for a chef in his restaurant.” The salary was not high, but it was better than being penniless!

Han Ruochen heaved a sigh of relief when she saw that her brother had thought things through. She nodded and turned her attention to Han Xuehan, who packed up the lunchboxes and then walked out of the hospital with Han Ruochen and the rest.

However, as soon as the three siblings walked out of the hospital, they ran into Meng Yunhan, who stopped them. ”Let me ask, did you three tell your father something without me knowing?”

”Dad is sick; we won’t do something as silly as telling him the truth about the good things that you have done.” Han Ruochen frowned hard and pulled Han Yong away from Meng Yunhan, who was holding him by his wrist. She then pulled her brother and sister with her.

”Impossible! If you had not told the truth to your dad, why would he behave strangely today and give your sister such an attitude?” Meng Yunhan was not willing to let go of the three of them and immediately rushed to grab Han Yong and pull him back.

They were outside the hospital and right on the main road. There were a lot of vehicles even though the sky was getting dark. For some reason, Han Ruochen was reminded of the accident in which her elder brother lost his life. It was all a scheme of Xu Yuanshu and her mother, who wanted to hide their affairs. Her countenance changed, and she pulled her brother so hard that Meng Yunhan fell onto the road face-first. ”Mom, that’s enough! Dad is already injured and lying in a hospital bed. Do you want one of us to get into another accident or what? Why are you pulling and tugging on the road?”

”And what is the matter with Dad being rough with Han Ziyan? He is her father, and even if he is losing his temper with her, can’t she just withstand it for a while? Dad is a patient. No one is asking Ziyan to show her face in front of Dad. If she has something against him and feels upset, then you can ask her to stay at home. We are enough to take care of Dad.”

Back then, her mother pushed Han Yong onto the road for two reasons. First, she was worried that her affair with Yun Xinye would come to light, and secondly, she found out that Han Ziyan’s kidney was failing. She secretly tested all of her children with Han Ziyan and found out that only Han Ruochen’s and Han Yong’s kidneys matched Han Ziyan’s.

Since Han Ziyan needed her, she could naturally not kill her. So she made her move on Han Yong. This was something that Han Ruochen would never forget.

Meng Yunhan, who had been knocked to the road, was shocked when she saw Han Ruochen’s ferocious expression. It was as if the woman wanted to kill her and eat her flesh. She shuddered in fright when she saw Han Ruochen’s expression. The look in the eyes of her second daughter was anything but friendly.

Seeing that Meng Yunhan had calmed down, Han Ruochen pulled Han Yong with her and then dragged him along with Han Xuehan. She was not going to let Meng Yunhan drag her brother down once again.

”You...” Meng Yunhan saw the three of them running away and scrambled to her feet. She was determined to chase the three of them, but before she could catch up to them, a car honked behind her. Startled, Meng Yunhan jumped in the air and looked behind. When she saw the countless cars driving toward her, she immediately jumped backwards.

Han Ruochen was right; there was no need to tug and pull in the middle of the road. If something happened to her, then given the attitude of those unfilial jerks, they might not even care about her.
