The Golem Mage

”I thought you said this Alec guy is strong, Why hasn’t he shown up yet then?, Don’t tell me he’s a coward who’s hiding because he knows he can’t win against us,” Asher asked as he lounged in his chair with reckless abandon.

Stretching his neck backwards, Iver Dragonmir simply looked at him and chuckled.

”Alec Gordons is definitely not that type of person, I have clashed with him once and I can tell you that he is not the type to give up or act cowardly, Even when we fought back then, he was nothing but a Tier 2 Mage.”

”But still, even against a Tier 3 Mage , he has shown no fear, His confidence and demeanor are what really made me respect him, But that doesn’t change anything, as I will be the one to defeat him this time, and clear my name so my clan can see that truly what they have been missing” Iver Dragonmir responded.

”This is funny, I can’t believe this, How on earth did you even lose to him when he was just a Tier 2 Mage and you were a Tier 3 Mage?, Don’t tell me you are that weak and pathetic that you couldn’t take care of a little baby,”

Asher said, trying to provoke Iver, However, Iver remained calm.

Without reacting, he stood there and smiled.

”Asher, I want to ask you a question, Have you ever been defeated since you entered the academy?” Iver asked.

”Definitely not, I have never entered a fight I can’t win, practically I don’t think there is any one who can defeat me in the same realm in that academy, but If it’s the clan there are still some unique ones there have not fought against ” Asher replied, lying on the chair as Iver smiled lightly.

”Now, this is where you’re wrong, because there are still a lot of monsters in this world who prefer to stay hidden than showing off there powers, Alec is one of those monsters, and I know you would fuck up no matter what you say, cause I know you can’t defeat him and that’s why I have to cut him off here and now for the Royal Mage Academy before he grows,” Iver Dragonmir said, as Asher snorted.

”Alec this, Alec that. I can’t count the number of times I’ve heard praises of that guy, It’s almost pissing me off now, I just feel like seeing him and strangling him, Like I said, only I am allowed to take his life,” Asher said with an angry gaze.

”I heard from Mr. Bolton that you’ve never met Alec, so why do you seem to hate him so much?” Iver asked.

”It’s simple, His father is the reason why I want to kill him, His father was seen as the most brilliant genius that the Ancient Blaze clan had produced in decades.”

”He was full of brilliance, but he was also ruthless—ruthless enough to cripple his clansmen, my own father’s cultivation just because of an issue, I don’t even care about what happened in that situation,” Asher explained.

”But the fact that he was that heartless to have crippled my father’s cultivation and damage his Mana pool so he has no hope of ever cultivating again is enough reason for me to hate him and his son.”

”And since I can’t channel my anger towards him, I guess I’ll just take it out on his son,” Asher concluded, running his hands through his rough hair.

After hearing this explanation, Iver was unsure of what to say or how to convince Asher to let go of his hate.

He was witnessing a scene where a son had to pay for the sins of his father—a father who died before he was born.

Where by the same father’s clan never accepted him, and now even a members of the clan was trying to kill him continuously because of how his father shined or what he might be entitled to if he was accepted back to the clan by his grandfather who is the new patriarch .

”Let’s see if you can survive this one. If you can’t, you’ll be dying for sure,” Iver muttered lightly as he stared out the window of the place they had been given by the academy.

The view was breath-taking, with clouds moving around the tall house, Just as Iver placed his hand outside the window to feel the breeze, he heard a loud shoe sound in his room.

When he raised his head to see who had barged in without knocking, he found it was their supervisor, Mr. Bolton.

”Mr. Bolton, to what do I owe this visit?” Iver Dragonmir asked.

”Get ready, We’re all going to the arena, Alec has finally shown up, Let’s go get that fucker!” Bolton said as he walked out, finishing his statement.

Back at the arena, the mages of the Royal Mage Academy were no longer just waiting, They had all stepped into the arena’s ring, planning to fight Alec and his golem together.

They felt that this was the only way they would ever have a glimpse of victory, because If they went one by one, there was definitely no one among them who would be able to defeat Butcher, let alone Alec. Find more chapters on FreeNovelFire

Alec, who had been scanning the crowd for a familiar face, gave up when he saw them slowly moving towards him and Butcher.

”Ohhh, I see you all have finally decided to show your true colours. I thought you were all too big to fight together before. Now you realize you can’t even beat my golem in an attribute of endurance fight, like my brother”

” So You’ve decided to come all together and finish it once and for all, right?” Alec asked, his hand still draped in his pocket as he looked nonchalant as ever, with a slight smile on his face.

His tricolored hair gently swayed, giving him a rare handsome look.

”You were the one who asked us to come at you, Don’t tell me you’re about to go back on your own words, Are you a coward who only knows how to talk big?”

One of the mages from the Royal Mage Academy with a huge build taunted Alec shamelessly , which made Alec chuckle and reply.

”Of course not, There’s no way I would go back on my own words because unlike you all, word is bond to me, And like I said, I have no problem taking all of you on, So come at me with all you’ve got,” Alec responded, stretching out his right hand forward, gesturing them to make their moves.

”This bastard mage who has been hiding behind his golem is trying to act like a big shot. Let’s close in on him and see if he’s the real deal.”

” Three of you, gang up on that golem, the rest of us will take care of him, With so many of us, he’s bound to be a dead meat,”

The tall and muscular mage from the Royal Mage Academy said, giving orders to the rest of the mages present.

The water mage was quickly attached with two other mages as they planned to keep Butcher in check, The rest of the fourteen mages dashed towards Alec, who still had his hands in his pockets.

”I guess that’s enough playing now well you are not the only ones who like gang fighting, All of you, come out now!” Alec spoke lightly, but the moment he finished his sentence, there was some sort of explosion behind him.

Suddenly, all the remaining six of his main golems appeared with their weapons, standing behind him, causing a picture perfect moment with Alec still in front with his hands inside his pocket acting all cool like a mafia boss and the golems like his sub boss and Capone.

This scene made the fourteen mages, who had been rushing towards him, freeze in their steps as they tried to process what was happening.

Alec still maintained his arrogant, nonchalant attitude, which only fueled their anger, but they couldn’t help but realize that he had every right to be arrogant, with the type of army power he carried with his.

”Break their bones for me!” Alec finally scoffed, showing an angry expression for the first time since he saw Arthur, as his golems dashed at the mages from the Royal Mage Academy.
