The Golem Mage

”I can’t stay cooped up again, My cultivation has already reached a peak, and it doesn’t look like I’ll be able to make any breakthroughs anytime soon without any external help,” Arthur complained, throwing a small stone into the lake behind Brandon’s place as he counted the amount of times it bounced off the water.

He had gone to disturb Brandon, who had entered a meditative state in hopes of reaching the Tier 3 Mage realm and becoming the second among their group to achieve that rank.

Brandon had felt immense pressure all those times he was in the lead in cultivation realm, Though he was talented and had realized that his earth element affinity might be greater than most earth mages, but he couldn’t shake the thought that someone would surpass him in the group.

And it didn’t take long for Alec to jump all the way to the Tier 3 Mage Realm, just as he was preparing to surpass the peak of Tier 2 Mage and step into the next realm.

”Arthur, just go!, I still don’t understand how you were able to reach the peak of the Tier 2 Mage Realm, I’ve never seen you cultivate in a while,” Brandon finally said, unable to concentrate with Arthur in the same courtyard.

”Well, no need to be so aggressive, man, We all knew Alec was going to take the number one spot back, even when he was weaker in realm, You still couldn’t beat his golems, so why stress?” Arthur joked, laughing as Brandon threw his Saber of Slaughter at him.

Dashing out of Brandon’s backyard, Arthur allowed peace to return to the courtyard.

”Phew, that bastard almost impaled my butt, Who am I going to go to now?, I just need to fight or break things to relieve this stress,”

Arthur muttered, looking around and noticing that almost everyone was busy cultivating, except for Agnes, who seemed to be responsible for all their chores.

Although he would have loved to go disturb the Centaur prince for some one-on-one sparring, But the Centaur Prince had pointed out some weaknesses last time and asked him to only come back if he reached the Tier 3 Mage realm.

Adding even more stress to his plate, ass it seems anyone who was not able to enter the Tier 3 realm was unserious.

”Look who we have here, the slacker!” Agnes said as she passed by Arthur.

”Do you want to test if I can’t beat you up?, The only reason why I haven’t challenged you yet is Alec. If you want to fight, let’s do this,” Arthur flared up.

”Come back when you have a spirit equipment set, I don’t want anyone losing and claiming that I had an unfair advantage in the fight,”

Agnes turned back briefly to say to Arthur before walking away.

Arthur smashed his legs on a nearby small stone, shattering it due to the amount of force he exerted when he hit it.

Most of the members of the group always saw him as the playful one, In fact, the new four members thought of him as the weakest link among all of Alec’s old trusted friends.

After all, since Knight and Agnes received their equipment set, they not only received a boost in their strengths but were able to cultivate faster.

And It seemed like their Spirit Equipment set was pushing them to reach the Tier 3 Mage realm faster so they could wield their powers more effectively.

This was something that Alec hadn’t noticed yet because his armor had not been originally crafted by the system, but repaired based on the flaws.

On the other hand, their own spirit equipment sets were crafted by the spirit clones of great masters that the system had created using the system points Alec had paid with.

So their equipment sets had pushed Knight and Agnes to the peak of Tier 2, just one step away from becoming Tier 3 mages, Discover hidden tales at FreeNovelFire

But Knight was showing more progress, but even Alec believed that such progress happened because he had assimilated with his armor perfectly and was more proficient at controlling it than Agnes.

Though they only felt Agnes didn’t get it as she was too busy tending to their needs, though all of the old gang except Alec had reached the Tier 2 peak.

However, it was still Brandon who seemed to be on the verge of making the breakthrough into the Tier 3 Mage Realm any time soon.

Since he had entered the peak before them and built the perfect foundations. All he was waiting for was the right moment when his energy reached an overflow.

This was because of the advice given by their patriarch: they had the choice to be exceptional or normal.

Even Brandon felt that attempting to break through just because he was feeling the pull to Tier 3 wasn’t a sign that he was ready to become exceptional.

That is why, from the moment he believed he was close to the Tier 3 Mage realm, he started to restrict himself from a normal breakthrough.

He deliberately held back, stopping himself from rushing into the next realm, even with when he was tempted when Alec entered the Tier 3 Mage Realm .

Although he wanted to ask Alec how he had managed to break through so quickly without flaws, but again he was certain that Alec would never enter the next realm without being absolutely sure of everything.

As Alec was, in fact, the most cautious person he knew.

Therefore, he held onto the breakthrough, guiding the progression of his cultivation.

As He allowed the new mana he accumulated to push his limits further and further, until his mana pool could no longer keep up.

Only then would he experience a natural breakthrough that he could no longer halt.

This had been his intention all along, but Among them all, Arthur was still seen as the weakest and the most unserious because they hadn’t witnessed him cultivate in a very long time.

”Do not let anyone dampen your spirits, What truly matters is that the master recognizes your struggles and the hardships you endure.”

” Rest assured, the day will come when your brilliance shines so brightly that even those around you will be compelled to worship it.”

Tempest Butcher, standing in front of Alec’s door, said to the downcast Arthur as he passed by.

The unexpected comment made Arthur stop in surprise, turning back to clarify,

”Did you just say that now?”

Butcher responded with a sarcastic look on his face, ”Of course, there’s no one else here, right?”

”When did you become so clever to come up with such a fantastic line? You’ve truly brightened my day,” Arthur exclaimed.

”Don’t give yourself too much credit, I have no interest in crafting elaborate words for someone like you, My feeble brain is simply relaying the message the master asked me to share to you when you pass with a sad expression , and that’s Believing in yourself,” Butcher replied casually, disregarding Arthur’s emotions completely.

”Regardless, that guy always knows how to uplift my spirits. I’m heading down the peak. If he emerges from seclusion, let him know I’ve gone to find Lucas. I want to spar alongside someone our clansmen all got boring,” Arthur stated, walking ahead only to unexpectedly come across Kelvin.

The moment Kelvin caught sight of him, he attempted to turn and flee, but it was already too late. Arthur had spotted him, and without hesitation, he pulled Kelvin along as they descended the mountain.
