The Golem Mage

Alec, who had just completed his breakthrough to the Tier 3 Mage Realm, couldn’t help but ignore the messages from the system at the moment.

He clenched his fist, feeling the surging powers coursing through them, Overwhelmed by the abundance of Mana, he believed he could almost touch the invisible magical particles in the air, he even felt certain that he could now summon easier spells effortlessly.

Even without the need to cast or say their names, he had the feeling that the spells would obediently follow his command, if he called to them with his mind as if the elemental particles of flame and earth could read his intentions.

Alec wanted to shout to the world, proclaiming that he had finally stepped into the Tier 3 realm at the young age of fifteen.

It was a remarkable achievement, but there was no one there to share his excitement.

As he looked at the Chimera demonic beast his golems had defeated, he considered the thought that if he challenge it once again, he felt killing it would be a piece of cake now, with how he felt.

”I feel so powerful,”

Alec softly whispered as he gazed at his golems, which had returned to their silent state.

They always behaved like maniacs or let loose when he was not nearby.

However, when he was in their presence, they acted like cute children seeking his approval, wanting nothing more than to please him.

”Of course you feel that way, The system made sure to rebuild your body in order to prepare you for the next stage,” the system spirit golem said.

”Rebuild my body?, In preparation for the next stage?” Alec asked, looking confused at the system spirit golem.

”It’s quite simple, actually, Your clan’s book, which has been absorbed by the system, contains the perfect cultivation technique that you will be practicing from now on,” explained the system spirit golem.

”But in order to practice those techniques, one must have a pure and stable foundation, as well as be in the Tier 3 realm, just one step away from entering the middle ranks,” continued the system spirit.

”That is why the system used most of your system points to open all your Mana veins and build the perfect foundation for you,” the system spirit golem added.

However, Alec’s attention drifted the moment he heard about using his system points to upgrade his body.

Quickly reopening his system tab, Alec realized that he was now left with only two thousand system points, He wanted to cry, but the tears wouldn’t come out.

So, he turned to face the only one he believed could provide an explanation for the sudden disappearance of his accumulated 350 thousand system points.

It baffled him how they had just vanished, as if the system had seized the opportunity to steal from him.

”Tell me, what did the system do to withdraw almost all of my points like this?, Do you have any idea how long and how hard I had to work to accumulate that amount of system points?”

Alec asked the system spirit golem in anger, who simply shrugged in response.

”You should be grateful that the points were used, Besides, they were just insignificant points that you can easily earn back in the future, There’s no need to act like this Instead, you should try observing your Mana Pool and your body to see what has truly changed,” replied the system spirit golem.

As soon as the system finished speaking, Alec attempted to check his Mana pool, only to find that it had vanished and he could not feel any connection to it.

Panic flashed across his face as he turned to the system spirit golem once again, However, he managed to calm himself and tried casting a spell, and he realized that he could still sense the presence of fire and earth elements in the air, In fact, he felt more connected to them than ever before.

”How is it possible?, I can’t detect my Mana pool anymore, but I can still sense the Mana, It feels as if the elements are even trying to communicate with me,” Alec said, turning his gaze towards the system spirit.

”Well, that’s what I’ve been trying to tell you, In order to practice the cultivation techniques of the golem scriptures left by your ancestors, you must break your Mana pool countless times and endure unimaginable pain to meet the minimum requirements for this technique,” explained the system spirit.

”All of this was done for you while you were unconscious, using the system points to make it bearable and ensuring that your impurities were cleansed in the process, Now, even that wretched Arcane crown can’t lock your Mana anymore, as your entire body is your pool of Mana.”

”Your usage of Mana is no longer limited to a tiny pool; that’s why you have such an enormous amount of Mana for your realm. It’s because you now possess one of those incredibly rare constitutions now with what the system did”

” From today onwards, Alec, you shall be recognized as a true genius,” praised the system spirit golem.

Alec finally understood why he felt a closer connection to the elements and why his affinity had been elevated to its peak.

The system had upgraded his affinity and collected the points as compensation.

It had also given him a perfect constitution to practice the new meditating technique that would easily allow him to enter the Mid ranks.

However, it had also collected his points as well, reminding him that the system never offered free favours, even to its host.

”I should also inform you that most of the points were used to revive Butcher’s core, He was on the verge of death after assisting in defeating the Chimera. ”

” Without using the points as a form of exchange to upgrade his core and keep him alive, Butcher would have been destroyed. However, the energy the system provided him managed to keep him alive,” the system spirit revealed.

”Butcher was still in danger, though, till Its breakthrough process to the Tier 3 Golem realm started, though its breakthrough is taking longer as it needs time to heal and regenerate its body,” the system spirit golem explained, detailing how Alec’s points had been spent.

Despite this, Alec couldn’t find a reason to be upset about losing his points. Instead, he saw the progress made by his golems and felt a sense of satisfaction.

”Finally, you all look like a proper army, now there’s no need for us to hide anymore. Let’s attack the groups, hordes, and packs in the entire low region of the Beast King Region, or the Orc region nearby, Let’s make these beasts and second dimension races tremble in Dread of our coming,” Alec declared, a smirk forming on his face as he looked towards his golems.

He couldn’t wait to unleash his full strength, to destroy and tear apart any beast or second dimensional creature that crossed his path.

He was really eager to put his newfound powers to the test.
