The Golem Mage

”No, I am not interested in your offer to create a spirit equipment set for us, If all you want is the snake tail attachment, then I can give it to you for free, Consider it a gift from me,”

Alec said, bowing towards the short elder, Alderic.

The entire group was shocked by this turn of events, and even Pale couldn’t help but look at Alec like he had gone mad for Rejecting the favour of a master forger.

But no matter how surprised they were, it couldn’t compare to the shock that Alderic was feeling at that moment.

His lips gradually twitched as he tried to understand the feeling of rejection for the first time.

Every since he became a master forger, he had been responsible for breaking the hearts of many high rank mages who came to him with various excuses and pleas, begging for his assistance to craft a spirit equipment for them.

But he had never given them any consideration, In fact, he had shown them just how arrogant he could be, and yet, he had just been rejected by someone so much weaker, something he hadn’t even anticipated.

He stood there, stunned, trying to figure out where he had gone wrong or made a mistake.

He was certain that Master forgers were still in high demand, so he couldn’t understand why Alec would reject his help.

Especially considering that he had offered it out of goodwill, as the Chimera tail had no monetary value.

Even now, its value couldn’t be estimated in layman terms, It was practically priceless, and that’s what Alderic had offered to help Alec with – something he considered priceless as well, a work made by a Master Forger.

He thought since he was getting something of immense value, then giving his services, which were also considered priceless should balance out the equation.

No one would ever dream of rejecting a Master forger’s request, as they held them in high regard.

But looking at Alec’s face, he realized that he was definitely not bluffing.

”Alec, apologize to the master now, How dare you try to belittle the mighty master?, He offered to help us create a spirit equipment set, What makes you reject such a once in a blue moon favour?” one of the mages following Pale said, trying to gain favour with Alderic, that he even shamelessly added Alderic wanted to create sprit equipments for them.

However, his act was so pathetic that even Alderic felt disgusted by his attempt to kiss up to him.

Alec swiftly swiped one of his fingers forward, conjuring an earth bullet that pierced through the mage’s ear at a lightning speed.

”Don’t interrupt me when I’m talking again, The fact that I gave you part of my clan’s loot doesn’t give you the right to talk to me in such a manner,” Alec said coldly , his face twisted in disgust as he looked at the mage who was holding onto his bleeding ear.

Lear and Pale had been near the mage, but even they hadn’t seen the trajectory of the bullet, It had been so fast that they couldn’t follow it.

At that moment, they all realized that Alec had made another breakthrough as his aura was exposed as he attacked, and this time, he was much stronger than before.

”Sweet, the boss has become even stronger. Now let’s see who dares to mess with us in the academy, the Gordons are coming back,” Arthur laughed out loud, thinking he had another reason to act unruly in the academy.

The stronger Alec became, the more prestige Arthur could accumulate by using Alec’s name.

”As I said, if all you want is the tail, it’s not a big deal, You can have it. Consider it a gift from me,” Alec ignored Arthur and the pained mage that was ashamed, as he turned towards old man Alderic, still offering him the Chimera’s tail.

Alderic smiled, feeling slightly offended when Alec initially refused his services, but he let it go when he realized that Alec was still granting his request.

It showed just how much Alec valued their friendship, Alderic knew Alec wanted the Chimera for something,

It was so obvious, as among all the carcasses laid out, Only the Chimera was unique enough, Despite this, Alec didn’t hesitate to offer him the tail, the very tail that could be used to make an antidote for the poison slowly him.

”I shall accept this gesture of goodwill, and since you clearly don’t want to burden me with making your spirit equipment set, I also understand. In return for what you have given me, I owe you a favour.:”

” No matter how big of a problem you find yourself in, even when you believe there is no one else who can save you, just call for me. I promise, I will be there for you,” Alderic declared, grateful for Alec’s generosity.

Old man Alderic nodded as Alec unsheathed his nearly destroyed bone katana and expertly severed the tail of the Chimera. Presenting it to Alderic, Alec stored the remaining bodies inside his space ring before turning to his golems.

”Unsummon all your minions now,” Alec commanded,

Though he was eager to check on his new Tier 3 golems and see their progress, especially Oni, who seemed to have spawned something unique.

However, Alec understood that now was not the time to stay idle, He needed to return to the academy to stabilize his new realm.

The academy had a calming aura around its peak, almost like a refining ground for the worldly Mana that passes through.

Cultivating there had a calming effect, and Alec knew he needed that to stabilize his realm.

He was aware that the Abyss was not the right place to do so, Although there was an abundance of mana that provided a higher chance of breaking through to the next stage in the Abyss, but it came with a disadvantage.

Those at lower realms found it challenging to stabilize their realms because the wild mana that expedited their breakthroughs didn’t support a steady foundation.

And so, Alec and his gang waited at the portal until it was ready for use again.

However, their wait was prolonged as the academy sent a large number of mages through the other passage the moment it was useable.

Supporting the travel of that much people at once could only be possible with a transmission stone, and the aura emitted by these mages was that of pure Tier 7 mages.

And they quickly took control of the city and only after confirming that Alec, Pale’s remaining group, and Alec’s gang were all human mages from the academy and scanning there badges , were allowed to proceed to the space passage back to the earth realm.
