Forced Pampering: Haughty Husband, Please Restrain Yourself

Chapter 1222: Chapter 1236: The Enemy of My Enemy Is My Friend

An Ran didn’t expect that Situ Chen would know her, as she had no impression of having interacted with him.

However, Situ Chen specifically mentioned Shen Wenxuan, perhaps he knows her brother?

”Since Miss An mentioned contract termination, I’d like to ask, whose contract does Miss An want to terminate?” Situ Chen asked again.

Now that the bluff has reached this point, with the director here proactively asking whose contract she wants to end, An Ran feels that even if she’s confused, she must continue putting on an act, as the director’s attitude towards her at least seems favorable.

”Director Situ, I’m very dissatisfied with the lead in the advertisement. I hope to replace them. Naturally, any loss from this will be borne by my Mu Family. I can immediately notify Lawyer Ouyang and President Sun to resolve subsequent issues.”

Situ Chen was amused by this, ”Miss An, you want to change the lead and I naturally have no say in that. But my crew’s already in place, changing the lead now would indeed present a challenge. You’ve mentioned changing the lead actor; we have only three actors for this advertisement in total. If you replace the lead, how am I supposed to shoot this? This isn’t a problem money alone can solve.”

An Ran had thought about this early on. No matter how she acts, she won’t do anything that will harm Mu Family’s interests. She pointed her finger at Luo Jingjing, ”Let her act. Isn’t she supposed to play the young Bao Si? Then let her act the adult part as well. I think the advertisement period is not long, and there’s absolutely no need for two actors, let alone a maid.”

”This...” Situ Chen looked at Luo Jingjing.

In fact, he wasn’t too keen on using two people for this advertisement. It’s just that the ad not only needs to showcase Mu Family’s fashion and trendiness but also its elegance and grace, elevating Mu Family to a higher level.

Yin Qianxue, being a screen goddess and the current queen of popularity, was a natural fit for this advertisement.

Compared to her, Luo Jingjing lacked some of Qianxue’s aura, and since Luo Jingjing debuted later, she couldn’t quite capture Yin Qianxue’s screen presence.

But now, looking at the two actors on set, Luo Jingjing, in costume and holding back emotion from being falsely accused, exuded an icy elegance, while Yin Qianxue sitting in the chair feigning pity appeared petty.

As for the maid, she was originally just added fluff.

”Alright, since Miss An has spoken, things will naturally proceed according to her wishes. Little Luo, how’s your preparation? If ready, we’ll start immediately.”

Luo Jingjing suddenly raised her head. The turn of events was so fast; she even thought she might lose the role, but unexpectedly, she not only retained it but became the lead.

”Is there a problem?” Situ Chen confirmed again.

”No problem,” Luo Jingjing said with a confident smile.

”Good, first scene in five minutes, get ready,” Situ Chen instructed and then left the dressing room.

”Wow, Jingjing, you’re amazing, the sole lead actor,” Luo Jingjing’s assistant jumped up to her, smiling.

”Not just the lead in the advertisement, but also Mu Family’s sole spokesperson. After the ad is shot, inform your manager to negotiate with Mu Family; I’ll speak with Mu Family’s side,” An Ran corrected.

She trusted her judgment in people. Just seeing how Luo Jingjing was troubled by Yin Qianxue and An Sijia earlier, she knew Luo Jingjing was of good character. Isn’t there a saying, ’the enemy of my enemy is my friend’? Seeing Luo Jingjing reminded her of her own early days in the An Family.
