Forced Pampering: Haughty Husband, Please Restrain Yourself

Chapter 1218: Chapter 1232: If You Can’t Wear It, Don’t Wear It

Sijia didn’t notice that Sister Chang was nearby. When Sister Chang stepped forward to speak, no matter how dissatisfied she was, she didn’t dare to show it.

With a slight smile, ”Oh, so it was someone brought by President Sun. But since they’re guests, isn’t it inappropriate to come to the makeup room at this time? We’re not done with our makeup yet.”

”Whether it’s appropriate or not is not for you, a mere artist, to decide. I’m just curious, why is Celebrity Yin taking off her costume at this moment? Does she think the weather is too hot or is she planning to go on strike?” An Ran said with a playful grin, looking at the pale-faced Yin Qianxue.

At this moment, the assistant director walked in, grumbling discontentedly as he entered, ”Is the makeup not done yet? The time is up, why aren’t you in position yet?”

Sijia, seeing the assistant director as her savior, grabbed his arm and pointed at Luo Jingjing, ”Director, it’s all Luo Jingjing’s fault, she spilled coffee on Qianxue’s costume. The shoot is about to start, and the costume is dirty. How is Qianxue supposed to act?”

The assistant director glanced at Luo Jingjing and at Yin Qianxue, who had already taken off her costume. He suddenly noticed two unrelated people on the scene, but at this moment, he couldn’t be bothered with outsiders. His cold eyes turned to Luo Jingjing, ”Luo Jingjing, what’s going on? Don’t you know how important today’s shoot is? How could you be so careless? You made the costume dirty at this time, where do you expect me to find the same one?”

Luo Jingjing trembled slightly upon hearing the assistant director’s words. She knew that at this moment, no matter the reason, it would be in vain. As long as the shooting schedule was delayed, the director would lose his temper.

What’s more, she couldn’t clearly explain what just happened. Everyone saw the result but didn’t see Sijia trip her.

”I’m sorry, director.”

All Luo Jingjing could do was apologize weakly, while Sijia was still making a fuss beside her, adding fuel to the fire, ”Is just an apology enough? Now it’s a matter of the costume being dirty. How can you expect Qianxue to wear it and act?”

”If she can’t wear it, then don’t. If she can’t wear it, someone else can.” An Ran suddenly spoke up.

The assistant director looked again at the two unfamiliar girls. They looked quite good, all beauties, but they were new faces. Seeing Sister Chang standing with them, he asked, ”Chang, are these two new extras?”

But wasn’t the tone of this extra a bit big? Claiming that if Yin Qianxue couldn’t wear the lead’s costume, someone else could. Was she going to wear it?

The assistant director couldn’t help but take a closer look at An Ran. She looked good, had presence, but she seemed too green; lacking something to play Bao Si.

”No, they’re guests of President Sun,” Sister Chang explained.

But is a guest of President Sun allowed to speak so arrogantly? The dissatisfaction was evident in the assistant director’s eyes.

Sijia, accustomed to reading people’s expressions, saw the assistant director’s displeasure and stepped forward, ”Assistant director, even though those two are guests of President Sun, saying something like that is still inappropriate, right? Our Qianxue is the only spokesperson signed by the Mu Group.”

As Sijia spoke, she glanced at An Ran, showing a hint of smugness.

At the moment, she was dressed as a maid, playing the role of Bao Si’s servant in the drama.

Originally, there was no need for this maid beside Bao Si. It was Yin Qianxue who spoke to the director, mentioning that the company intended for her to help mentor newcomers, and Sijia was their company’s newcomer.

It was merely one more maid, just an extra face on screen. The director gave Qianxue this preference, adding such a character.
