Forced Pampering: Haughty Husband, Please Restrain Yourself

Chapter 1206: Chapter 1220: Packed Off

The weekend sun cast a warm glow over the earth, free from the summer’s oppressive heat, making the birds chirp more joyfully.

An Ran and Xiao Xiao rarely spent their weekends lounging in bed, and they got ready early, packing their bags and leaving the dorm.

”Ranran, isn’t it a bit too early? I heard that the village where Grandma Li lives is quite difficult to reach. After getting to Qingfeng Town, we still have to walk across several hills. I think we should go to the Saintly Charity Nursing Home tomorrow to avoid waiting in vain.”

Xiao Xiao yawned, wondering what had gotten into Lin Junyang last night. First, he insisted she agree to go to the Imperial City on the eleventh, claiming that since she was already the bridesmaid for Sister Wanxin, she ought to be the bridesmaid for Lin Ruonan. Otherwise, Lin Ruonan going up the bridal car alone would be too forlorn.

As Lin Ruonan’s biological brother, he wouldn’t allow such a thing to happen and even threatened to call Aunt Xiao if she didn’t agree.

Listening to Lin Junyang’s persistent persuasion, Xiao Xiao could only chuckle.

Lin Ruonan was the leader of the female Guard Team. Whether it’s finding a few bridesmaids or a whole platoon, there’s no challenge for her, right?

How could it be possible that she was needed?

Not wanting to, Xiao Xiao finally yielded to Lin Junyang’s last threat. God knows, in front of her mother, Lin Junyang’s status had long surpassed hers.

She could imagine if Lin Junyang really spoke to her mother, asking her to go and be his sister’s bridesmaid, her mother would likely pack her off directly, saying something like, ”Feel free to ask for anything.”

As a result, she agreed to go to the Imperial City on the eleventh, but that guy wouldn’t let her off and insisted she send him a selfie, claiming it was courtesy.

Without sending a selfie, Xiao Xiao had insomnia. Could it really be that absence makes the heart grow fonder? After Lin Junyang left Nan’an for more than half a month, did he finally realize her place in his heart?

Thinking about it all night without figuring it out, she was dragged up early by An Ran.

”No, Lu Yi is using a family helicopter to get into the mountains directly. He should probably be back by the morning. Let’s go first and check how the nursing home is preparing. If we have time, we can chat with the elderly.”

Since the eleventh holiday couldn’t be spent visiting the elderly, An Ran planned to visit the nursing home more often on regular days.

”Young Master Lu is indeed impressive, ordering a helicopter at will.”

Xiao Xiao smacked her lips while carrying a small bag, ”Mr. An, are we walking to the nursing home? I heard Saintly Charity Nursing Home is in the suburbs, and it’s difficult to catch a bus there, right?”

”Don’t worry, I called Zhang Liang to drive over. He’ll take us there soon,” An Ran was already defeated by Xiao Xiao. Her friend’s peculiar sense of humor had been growing, and every time she called her Mr. An, An Ran had the urge to push her away. What a troublesome friend she had.

”That’s good. I thought Mr. An was going to go undercover.”

An Ran: ”...”

What do you do when you no longer want this friend?

”Beep beep beep—”

Before An Ran and Xiao Xiao reached the school gate, they heard a car horn from behind. Turning around, they saw Zheng Kai sticking his head out of a Passat, ”An Ran, Xiao Xiao, where are you headed? I’ll give you a ride.”

Xiao Xiao was about to wave him off, but An Ran pulled her back and asked, ”Where are you going?”

If her guess was right, Zheng Kai was likely heading back to the nursing home, as he seemed to go there every weekend.

As expected, Zheng Kai chuckled good-naturedly, ”No other plans for the weekend, so I’m heading to the nursing home to visit Grandma Wang and the others. Where are you guys headed? I have plenty of time, so I can give you a lift.”
