Forced Pampering: Haughty Husband, Please Restrain Yourself

Chapter 1191: Chapter 1205: Are You Scheming Against Me?

”I disagree,” a sudden voice rang out.

Zheng Kai was also stunned by Dean Fang’s ”Mr. An,” and when he reacted, Dean Fang actually agreed to let Cai Fen stay at the nursing home, and in this area. How could that be?

”Mom, you can’t keep her. Her dedication to work and caring for the elderly are just pretenses.”

Mom?

This time it was An Ran’s turn to be surprised. Who would have thought Zheng Kai and Dean Fang were mother and son?

”Pretenses?” Dean Fang glanced at Cai Fen, then at An Ran.

If Cai Fen’s care for the elderly was not genuine from the heart, such a person should indeed not be kept at her nursing home.

At the same time, Cai Fen’s heart tightened.

”No, Dean Fang, I am sincere with the elderly,” she explained frantically.

Earlier, she hadn’t considered Zheng Kai witnessing her attitude towards Grandma Wang, but now, hearing Zheng Kai call Dean Fang ”mom,” she was shocked and deeply regretted her behavior.

Although she didn’t think much of her job at Saintly Charity Nursing Home, she was still hoping to gain trust and favor from Dean Fang to get into Shengde Hospital.

But if her work attitude causes Dean Fang to have a negative impression of her, losing the job at Saintly Charity Nursing Home would just be the beginning. Any hospital she tries to enter in the future would have this incident noted on her internship record, and then what kind of job could she possibly find?

An Ran certainly did not miss the flash of panic in Cai Fen’s eyes. Earlier, when they arrived, she saw Zheng Kai quarreling with Cai Fen, most likely because of her attitude towards the elderly.

An Ran smirked, ”How could it be? From what I see, Senior Sister Cai is quite patient with the elderly.”

After speaking, she glanced around the courtyard. The nursing home had various facilities, and each room and courtyard was equipped with surveillance equipment, ”In that case, Dean Fang doesn’t need to rush to dismiss Senior Sister Cai’s work. After all, there is surveillance equipment here, and Dean Fang can continue to observe Senior Sister Cai for a while. If what Zheng Kai said turns out to be true, it won’t be just Dean Fang; even I wouldn’t agree to keep her here. However, if Senior Sister Cai performs well, Saintly Charity Nursing Home would still gladly welcome such talents.”

After An Ran said these words, how could Cai Fen not understand? She looked again at the man accompanying An Ran; she seemed to have seen him someplace before. If she remembered correctly, the medicines and equipment provided by Wenshan Group for the Star Fire project were transported by this man and his team.

Such a person, at least, would be in a senior position within Wenshan Group.

She didn’t know why An Ran would have such a profound background and powerful influence, but at this moment, seeing An Ran appear together with Dean Fang and this man, Cai Fen felt a bad premonition in her heart.

”An Ran, are you scheming against me?”

She even suspected that her earlier internship applications being rejected by so many hospitals was due to An Ran’s covert manipulations.

An Ran chuckled lightly, ”How could that be? I openly and honestly disclosed this matter; how could that be scheming against you? If you don’t wish to, perhaps, you might courageously choose not to work.”

”You...”

Cai Fen was furious and gritted her teeth. How could she possibly choose not to work? She emerged from that impoverished mountain area and studied for three years at university. Never mind where she would work if she didn’t, just talking about formal employment at Saintly Charity Nursing Home—the monthly salary there is higher than that of doctors at Nan’an City Central Hospital. How could she refuse such temptation?
