Forced Pampering: Haughty Husband, Please Restrain Yourself

Chapter 1152: Chapter 1166: The Child Has Been Found

Liu Hu pushed the door open, walked softly up to Mu Xingfeng, and just as he was about to speak, Mu Xingfeng stopped him and gestured toward the door, indicating to speak outside.

”Boss, they found the child and sent him to the hospital. But, when they found him, he showed no signs of life. It’s a kid from the compound. Someone identified him as Li Lele, Captain Li’s child. Chief Guard Huang and Captain Li have already been notified,” Liu Hu reported the newly received information to Mu Xingfeng.

There was a ”bang” behind them, and the two turned to see Huang Tao leaning against the door of the hospital room, slowly sliding down.

Liu Hu went forward to hold him, and Huang Tao raised his head, tears unexpectedly welling up, ”Uncle, Lele he...he...”

The little boy couldn’t accept that just over an hour ago, the little friend he was playing with was now separated from him by life and death. It seemed like he could still hear Lele constantly calling him Taotao, Taotao.

”Take him back first, you look after them. I’ll go over there and take a look,” Mu Xingfeng said, turning to run toward the emergency room.

Seeing that Huang Tao couldn’t stand anymore, Liu Hu simply picked him up and put him on the hospital bed.

Mu Xingfeng hadn’t reached the emergency room door yet when he could hear heart-wrenching cries from afar. Even though it was a hospital, no one could control the pain of losing a child.

Lin Junyang stood outside the emergency room door, his expression equally heavy. Seeing Mu Xingfeng approach, he took two steps forward, ”Why did you come over? How’s Tuzi?”

”She’s fine, asleep,” he said, glancing into the emergency room.

On the hospital bed, the white sheet covered the small body. Sun Lufang stood by the bed, overwhelmed with grief. If it weren’t for the teammates supporting her on either side, she might have collapsed to the ground.

Li Dajun was crouched on one side, holding his head, his shoulders trembling continuously, and tears had already soaked the floor beneath him.

”Li Lele wasn’t swept far, found at an open water spot. All teammates went into the water, and it took less than half an hour to find him, but it was still a moment too late. By then, the child wasn’t breathing and had sunk to the bottom. Some teammates tried to resuscitate him, but it had no effect. When the helicopter arrived, it flew him straight to the hospital, and upon arrival, doctors declared Li Lele dead,” Lin Junyang said quietly. Anyone who saw a young life leave this world so suddenly would be filled with immense sorrow. They had tried their utmost, but still couldn’t save the child.

Mu Xingfeng nodded, realizing there was no need for him to enter, ”Take care of things here, let me know if you need anything anytime.”

”Alright, you go take care of Tuzi. She had a near-drowning experience before, can’t be careless,” Lin Junyang said, patting Mu Xingfeng on the shoulder.

Sun Lufang caught sight of Mu Xingfeng outside the room, pushed aside the teammates, and rushed towards the door, ”Captain Mu, where’s Huang Tao? Where’s Chief Guard Huang’s Huang Tao?”

Seeing Sun Lufang losing her composure, Li Dajun stepped forward to hold her, ”Lifang, I already told you, Lele fell into the water by himself, why are you looking for Huang Tao?”

Sun Lufang clutched Mu Xingfeng’s arm tightly, tears streaming down her face. Turning back to Li Dajun, she said, ”I just want to ask how Lele fell into the water. He’s gone now. Do I, as his mother, not even have the right to know how he ended up in the water? Dajun, Lele is gone, Lele drowned, Lele will never call me ’Mom’ again...”
