Forced Pampering: Haughty Husband, Please Restrain Yourself

Chapter 1161: Chapter 1175: What Use Are These Eyes?

Huang Xiaoyu listened to Sun Lufang’s rambling, feeling both accused and as if Sun were talking to herself. The fear in her heart grew stronger, and she involuntarily shrank to the other side of the chair, wanting to distance herself from this woman. She couldn’t help but defend herself, ”Sister-in-law Sun, I really didn’t see it was Taotao, let alone Lele. I really didn’t know it was them.”

”Didn’t see?” Sun Lufang was utterly infuriated by Huang Xiaoyu’s words. Obviously, An Ran who was with her had already jumped into the water to save people, yet she still claimed not to have seen. Sun Lufang, with bloodshot eyes, looked at her, ”If you can’t see, then what use are your eyes?”

Saying that, Sun Lufang grabbed a pair of scissors from the table and stabbed straight at Huang Xiaoyu.

Huang Xiaoyu screamed and fell to the ground along with the chair, Sun Lufang pounced on her, aiming for her eyes and stabbing down.

”Ah—”

A piercing scream echoed through the entire family residential building. Li Dajun, who had just arrived with a few family members and guards helping to look for Sun Lufang, heard the scream and smashed open Chief Guard Huang’s house door, only to see Huang Xiaoyu lying in a pool of blood, clutching her right eye and rolling in pain, while Sun Lufang sat on the ground in a daze, muttering incessantly.

”Hurry, save her,” Li Dajun waved to the guards behind him and approached Sun Lufang.

He saw Sun Lufang’s eyes vacant and unfocused, her mouth continuously calling her son’s name.

”Lele, Lele come home soon, Lele should eat, Lele, come back...”

”Lifang, Lifang,” Li Dajun shook her, but got no response at all.

For a moment, Chief Guard Huang’s house was in chaos with people coming in and out...

Just like Lin Junyang said, An Ran had nearly drowned before, and this time she stayed underwater too long, causing water in her lungs. Even with timely treatment to prevent inflammation, the doctor advised staying overnight for observation.

Huang Tao was already fine, and in the evening, Chief Guard Huang came to the hospital to take him and his mother home.

As soon as Huang Tao saw Chief Guard Huang, his little face fell. Huang Xiaowei didn’t understand why, and after greeting and thanking An Ran and Mu Xingfeng, he walked over to his son, ”What’s wrong? Upset that Dad came late? As soon as I got the call, I wanted to come, but something held me up in the Guard Team. Knowing you were fine, I sent your mom first. Taotao, Dad is a guard, you know what a guard’s duty is, right?”

”Dad, do you know? It’s all because of Auntie, Aunt An got doubted, and Li Lele died,” Huang Tao, after all, was just a child, and couldn’t come to terms with Li Lele’s death.

On hearing this, Huang Xiaowei’s face turned grim too. Qu Jing had already told him about Huang Xiaoyu’s actions over the phone, and he hadn’t expected Huang Xiaoyu would do such a thing. By the time he arrived, Huang Xiaoyu had already returned home, and he’d told her to stay home and reflect on her actions. He didn’t know what kind of consequences this matter would bring. As the head of the area, though no one in the Guard Team courtyard would say anything to his face, behind his back, the taste of being talked about despite living right and upright, all those piercing glances...

But ultimately, Huang Xiaoyu was his own sister. The eldest brother was like a father. Huang Xiaoyu did such a thing, and he too bore responsibility.

”Taotao, Auntie didn’t want to see Lele’s death either, and she is very remorseful now. We should give her a chance to make things right, right? Alright, Aunt An needs rest, and you’ll disturb her by staying here. Come home with me. Let’s come back to see her tomorrow, okay?”
