Forced Pampering: Haughty Husband, Please Restrain Yourself

Chapter 1190: Chapter 1204: Let Senior Sister Cai Stay

Seeing Dean Fang looking at her hopefully, she smiled and said, ”Of course, our facility, though a nursing home, is known for the high salaries at the Wenshan Group’s Shengde Hospital and Saintly Charity Nursing Home. I feel proud to be interning here, striving to serve the elderly and showcase my value to gain recognition from the hospital.”

She barely managed to find such an internship opportunity. Regardless of future plans, she couldn’t afford to let the dean have any negative thoughts of her at this moment. After the internship, she hoped to leverage the dean to move to Shengde Hospital.

Seeing An Ran’s envious expression, she felt even more smug.

Although she didn’t think highly of working in a nursing home, she believed An Ran must be very envious.

Back then, she heard An Ran was an orphan without any background, earning her tuition fees through part-time jobs, and ended up working as a saleswoman at a bar. Cai Fen felt this job she wasn’t fond of was out of An Ran’s reach.

As expected, An Ran nodded in agreement, looking full of admiration, ”With Senior Sister’s professional skills and this attitude, as long as you work hard, I believe Dean Fang will recognize it. After your internship ends, staying on at Saintly Charity Nursing Home would be well-deserved.”

Cai Fen showed a bit of modesty at the right moment, ”I don’t dare to hope to stay in the nursing home, I’m just focused on doing my job well right now.”

”As long as you work hard, we welcome compassionate and capable medical staff like you,” Dean Fang said at the opportune moment.

An Ran smiled with lips pursed, ”Since that’s the case, why not keep Senior Sister Cai here, Dean Fang? We saw earlier that Senior Sister Cai is very skilled in nursing and is a professional internist. If she stays, she should serve the elderly in this ward. I think the elderly here really need medical staff like Senior Sister Cai.”

”Since Mr. An has spoken, naturally we’ll give face to Mr. An at Saintly Charity Nursing Home. It remains to be seen whether Student Cai is willing to stay,” Dean Fang asked with a smile.

But Cai Fen was already stunned by Dean Fang’s use of ”Mr. An.”

Earlier, she saw An Ran and Dean Fang walking together, but she didn’t pay it any mind. Since Zheng Kai was volunteering here, she naturally assumed An Ran was here as a volunteer too.

She completely missed how Dean Fang addressed An Ran, and even earlier, Dean Fang seemed to have referred to An Ran the same way, but she focused entirely on impressing Dean Fang at that time, never imagining how An Ran could become Mr. An.

And now watching them take turns determining her future, Cai Fen felt utterly distressed.

She only came to Saintly Charity Nursing Home to complete her internship and move on with her studies. She was still young and didn’t want to spend every day around elderly patients, especially being assigned to this ward.

She had been here for a period and knew well that this area was the nursing home’s ”death zone,” where the elderly couldn’t care for themselves and were nearing the end of their lives.

In the week she had been there, she had witnessed the passing of two elderly patients, and she didn’t want to constantly face the pain of such departures.

But if she refused now, what would Dean Fang think of her? She might not really have another chance to transfer later.

”Is Senior Sister Cai just overwhelmed by joy?” An Ran asked, looking at the dumbfounded Cai Fen with a laugh, ”It seems among this batch of graduates, Senior Sister Cai is the only one who has landed a job so quickly.”
