Forced Pampering: Haughty Husband, Please Restrain Yourself

Chapter 1153: Chapter 1167: I’d Rather Not Have an Aunt Like You

Sun Lufang finished speaking and burst into tears, with Li Dajun holding her from behind, patting her, his own tears constantly falling.

Mu Xingfeng was held by her by the sleeve, unable to pull away, facing the couple who had lost their child, he couldn’t even utter a simple condolence, at this moment, any words of comfort seemed more like stabbing at their hearts.

”Huang Tao is in the ward upstairs, if you want to know anything, you can come with me, but the way you are now, you’re afraid of scaring him.”

Huang Tao has been feeling guilty about not being able to rescue Li Lele, and now hearing of Li Lele’s death, he is even more saddened and helpless, as the Li captain couple is so emotional at this point, he worries that if Sun Lufang loses control, Huang Tao will never be able to walk out of this shadow.

Sun Lufang, hearing Mu Xingfeng was going to take her to see Huang Tao, randomly wiped her tears twice, ”Now can I? Captain Mu, I beg you to take me, I want to know how Lele fell into the water.”

Mu Xingfeng sighed and turned towards the stairs.

Li Dajun originally thought the course of events was no longer important, but worried for his wife, also followed behind her.

In the ward, time seemed to have frozen, Liu Hu sat upright between two hospital beds, while Huang Tao sat on his own bed, staring blankly at An Ran on the other bed.

This was a VIP ward, he was originally placed in the adjacent room, but he couldn’t stop worrying about the aunt who saved him, begging Uncle Mu to let him stay here.

Li Lele was gone, just because the rescue wasn’t timely, he drowned, and as for himself, if not for this aunt risking everything to save him, he would likely have ended up like Lele.

Unknown how much time passed, the door to the ward opened once more.

Sister-in-law Qu, upon entering, saw her son by the bedside and rushed over in a few steps.

”Taotao, are you trying to scare your mother to death? How many times have I told you, don’t play by that river, don’t play by that river, why do you just not listen?”

Sister-in-law Qu spoke with tears falling, and slapped Huang Tao twice.

”Mom, can you keep your voice down, you’ll disturb Auntie An.”

Huang Tao neither dodged nor resisted, letting his mother slap him twice, yet his words were filled with disdain for her loud voice.

Sister-in-law Qu then noticed the person lying in the hospital bed, ”What’s going on here?”

Her husband had only mentioned on the way home that Huang Tao fell into the river and was rescued, but she didn’t know the specifics or who saved him.

Huang Tao, hearing this, looked coldly at Huang Xiaoyu behind Sister-in-law Qu.

Huang Xiaoyu only noticed that the person on the hospital bed was An Ran, who had been with her that afternoon, upon hearing Huang Tao’s words. All the speculations along the way were confirmed at this moment, could it be...

Huang Xiaoyu forced down the panic rising in her chest, pulling out a smile worse than crying, ”Taotao, why are you looking at Aunt like that? Don’t you recognize Aunt anymore?”

”Ha,” Huang Tao sneered, the twelve-year-old exuding an icy demeanor beyond his years, his icy gaze fixed on Huang Xiaoyu.

”Aunt? I’d rather not have an aunt like you.”

”Taotao, is that how you talk to Aunt?” Sister-in-law Qu hurriedly stopped him upon hearing his words.

”Mom, don’t stop me, do you know, it was her, my own aunt, who not only ignored me when she saw me drowning but didn’t go find help, if not for Auntie An, I’d probably already be a corpse like Lele.”
