Forced Pampering: Haughty Husband, Please Restrain Yourself

Chapter 375: Chapter 388: An Ran is Missing (1)

”Second Brother, what are you looking at? Of course, you’re looking at Sister-in-law,” Sun Wangbei teased from the side.

”Come on, Second Brother, that’s enough. We’re just playing cards, no need to flaunt your romance. Hurry up and play,” Lin Junyang urged impatiently.

I’ve been losing all night, while Mu Xingfeng, who has his mind elsewhere, keeps winning against the three of us. Who can I complain to about this?

Mu Xingfeng glanced around the banquet hall and, not spotting the figure he was looking for, his aura dimmed.

”You guys keep playing,” he said, getting up and walking towards the food area.

”Hey, how are we supposed to play with only three people?” Lin Junyang shouted after him.

”It’s okay, stop shouting, I’ll play with you guys,” Mu Wanxin laughed, taking Mu Xingfeng’s place.

”Big Sister is the best,” Sun Wangbei said, picking up the card Mu Wanxin played, ”I’ve won.”

”Hey, you rascal.”

...

Mu Xingfeng circled the food area once but didn’t see a trace of An Ran or even Shen Mengya. He picked up his phone and called Shen Wenxuan, ”Brother Wenxuan, did Ya go home?”

”No, she should be with An Ran,” Shen Wenxuan replied.

”Those two girls are missing. I’ve searched the entire banquet hall, and I can’t find them,” Mu Xingfeng’s voice was noticeably colder.

”Don’t panic, maybe they went somewhere out of curiosity. I’ll go look too,” Shen Wenxuan hung up and started searching.

When he saw Mu Xingfeng holding An Ran’s handbag, his eyes darkened.

”The handbag is here, but where is she?”

Mu Xingfeng clutched the handbag, his brow furrowed, and he strode towards a corner.

”Brother Mu, Brother, what brings you here?” Shen Mengya, almost finished with her ice cream, happily called out upon seeing Mu Xingfeng and Shen Wenxuan.

”Where’s your Sister Ran?” Shen Wenxuan asked.

”Sister Ran was just...” Shen Mengya pointed to the spot where An Ran was previously standing, but suddenly paused, ”She was just there.”

”Crash——”

Hearing Shen Mengya’s words, Mu Xingfeng anticipated something had happened. He spun around and dashed towards Lin Junyang, tripping over a chair, causing a loud noise.

Realizing something was wrong from Mu Xingfeng’s expression, Lin Junyang stood up, ”Second Brother, what’s the matter?”

”An Ran is missing. Is there any surveillance here?” He had already searched the entire banquet hall and confirmed An Ran was not there. Her handbag was left behind—under what circumstances could she have left without a word or taking her handbag?

”This hall was temporarily built; there’s no surveillance.”

”Missing? How could she be missing?” Mu Wanxin also stood up and turned to see Shen Wenxuan leading Shen Mengya over.

”Ya, what’s going on? Weren’t you with your Sister Ran?”

Seeing the adults’ anxious faces, Shen Mengya’s eyes reddened, ”I was with Sister Ran eating snacks. Later, I went to get ice cream and ran into Sister Jingjing. She was lonely, so I kept her company. We agreed I’d go back after finishing the ice cream to find Sister Ran. But then, she was gone... Ugh...”

By the end, the little girl couldn’t help but start crying. It was her fault; she didn’t look after Sister Ran properly.

Lin Ruonan and Gu Haoyu happened to walk by, and upon hearing Shen Mengya’s words, Lin Ruonan’s face instantly turned pale.

Was it Feng Jingjing? What did she want to do?

But then she saw Feng Jingjing looking totally unbothered, and according to Ya, she was with Feng Jingjing the whole time. So, could it be...
