Forced Pampering: Haughty Husband, Please Restrain Yourself

Chapter 373: Chapter 386: Coming Prepared

”Miss Ya just chased after Madam’s little dog and got hurt. She was worried you might not be able to wait for her here, so she asked me to tell you to wait for a while and not be anxious.”

An Ran’s face immediately changed color, ”Got hurt? How badly is she injured?”

”Don’t worry, Miss An, it’s just a superficial wound. It’s being treated right now and should be fine soon,” the servant said.

Don’t worry? How could she not worry? An Ran couldn’t think of anything else and said to the servant, ”Where is she? Take me to see her.”

The servant nodded, ”In that case, Miss An, please follow me.”

Saying that, he started walking towards the door first.

”Miss Ya is now at the back, and the doctor is bandaging her wound. Miss An, don’t worry, it’s not a serious injury.” The servant continued to comfort her while walking.

An Ran couldn’t listen any longer and closely followed the servant’s steps.

In this icy and snowy weather, she had already fallen last time even with all those clothes on. Today, she was wearing a dress, so falling would hurt even more. She had no idea where Ya was injured.

The servant took a secret glance at An Ran and unconsciously quickened his pace.

An Ran kept walking but finally felt something was wrong. The servant had taken her to the backyard, quite far from the banquet hall. If Ya was injured, she should be treated immediately. Why bring her to such a secluded place?

”Where are you taking me?” An Ran stopped and asked.

The servant smiled and pointed at a house not far ahead, ”Miss An, Miss Ya is in that room ahead. The commander specially ordered it to be converted into a medical room today in case something happens during the banquet.”

An Ran looked in the direction the servant pointed. Indeed, it was a small, isolated room with lights on inside. Although it was secluded, it was a festive occasion today, and having a separate medical room wasn’t odd.

Moreover, the Lin Mansion’s walkways were all lit, with lights on the yard walls. It wasn’t as bright as the front yard but still quite well-lit.

”Let’s go,” An Ran suppressed her inner fear and continued following the servant.

Arriving at the small house, the servant opened the door with one hand and gestured with the other, ”Miss An, Miss Ya is inside, please go in.”

An Ran couldn’t hear any sounds from inside the house. Just as she poked her head in, a strong force pushed her entire body inside, followed by the sound of the door closing and even locking.

There was no sign of Ya inside. An Ran rushed over and started pounding on the door, ”Who are you? Why are you locking me in? Let me out.”

”Let me out, do you think locking me in here won’t make others aware? Let me out now...”

No matter how much An Ran pounded, there was no response from outside.

The backyard of the Lin Family’s old house was all designed in an antique style. This room was also of the same style: double wooden doors, lattice wooden windows. From inside, she could clearly see a brass lock on the door outside.

An Ran then ran to the windows, but unsurprisingly, they were all locked from the outside too. It seemed this was meticulously planned.

Hah, she knew the Lin Family wouldn’t let her off easily. She just hoped Mu Xingfeng would come looking for her soon.

Knowing she couldn’t get out, An Ran dejectedly leaned against the wall and was startled by what she saw.

She had been so focused on getting out since she entered that she didn’t notice the scenery inside.
