Chapter 1133: Chapter 18: The Kingdom of Exotic Plants

Su Xiao drew the long knife from his waist, his movements were very light, and Maha and the others began to slowly distance themselves from Su Xiao.

Su Xiao took a deep breath, and suddenly slashed out in thin air.

Clang.

Blade Aura flew out, cutting straight toward Abaye’s tentacles, with a swish, a large section of pink tentacles was severed, and the sharp Blade Aura forcibly carved a path five meters wide and a hundred meters long within the tentacle group.

Rustle, rustle, rustle...

All of Abaye’s tentacles went ’berserk,’ they rolled towards the source of the slashing sound, heading straight for Su Xiao.

Su Xiao silently leaped back, a large area of tentacles surged in front of him and then stopped.

The tentacles severed to the ground made a hissing sound, quickly decomposing, and at the same time, the roots of those severed tentacles began to regenerate new ones.

About 2 seconds later, all of Su Xiao’s severed tentacles completed regeneration, it’s no wonder Maha was blocked here, if ’Abaye’ only had paralysis + toughness traits, it would definitely not be able to stop Maha; this thing also has ultra-fast regeneration ability.

This is very troublesome, even if Su Xiao can sever large swaths of tentacles and find the path to the interior of Kukuru Mountain, the time to pass through this tentacle group is only 2 seconds.

At this moment, Maha made several leaps, distancing himself from Killua and others, and gestured to Su Xiao.

Su Xiao nodded, Maha stomped on the ground with one foot.

Bang.

A loud boom echoed throughout the cave, Abaye’s tentacles went berserk again.

Clang, clang, clang...

Hundreds of crisscrossing Blade Aura flew out, nearly two-thirds of the tentacles in the cave were severed by Blade Aura, seeing this scene, Maha’s eyes were somewhat excited.

Pink tentacles fell to the ground, Su Xiao’s gaze swept forward, without the obstruction of tentacles, the situation inside the cave became clearly visible.

The inside of the cave was a high slope, with many holes of various sizes on it, although it was unclear where these holes led to, this was the only road leading to the depths of Kukuru Mountain.

Maha’s goal is the very center of Kukuru Mountain, he said there is a very special plant there, growing by using lava as nourishment, as for what Maha specifically wants to do, he didn’t specify.

As long as they reach that center point, Su Xiao and Maha’s cooperation will be over, then what to do specifically will depend on the information given by the hidden task.

The pink tentacles quickly regenerate, soon restoring as before, the path forward has been found, Su Xiao signaled Maha and A Mu to prepare.

A Mu grabbed Maha’s back with one large hand, while the other hand held Maha’s legs, with Yaluga held in Maha’s arms.

When A Mu was ready, Su Xiao slashed forward out of thin air.

Clang.

Blade Aura flew out, severing the pink tentacles one by one, this tentacle’s resistance to slashing ability is very poor, this was crucial information Maha acquired after long research.

Just as the tentacles were severed, A Mu already threw the Maha in his hands.

Swoosh~

Maha flew forward at high speed, above him were gradually regenerating tentacles, below was a large area of severe paralysis toxin.

Maha quickly reached the end of the cave, landing steadily, Su Xiao signaled A Mu to continue.

Blade Aura was unleashed, this time throwing out Bubu Wang and Killua, Bubu Wang once again experienced the feeling of flying, having prior experience made this fellow’s flying level significantly improved, its tail wagged more cheerfully.

Bubu Wang and Killua successfully arrived, avoiding the entangling of pink tentacles, Su Xiao unleashed another Blade Aura.

Just after the Blade Aura was unleashed, Su Xiao immediately grabbed A Mu’s arm, throwing A Mu to the other side.

The tentacles regenerated, and A Mu quickly disappeared from Su Xiao’s sight, leaving only Su Xiao alone this time.

While the distance wasn’t hard to leap over, jumping through in mid-air would be too slow, it’s likely to be hit by regenerating tentacles.

After hesitating for a moment, Su Xiao took out a large piece of fresh meat from the storage space, it was his emergency food reserve, he threw the fresh meat toward the tentacle group.

The pink tentacles immediately tangled around the large piece of fresh meat, seemingly never having tasted such delicious food, all the pink tentacles began to curl up and twist.

A few pink tentacles stretched to Su Xiao’s front, having identified Su Xiao’s position, yet they didn’t attack Su Xiao, instead continuously curling up.

Su Xiao threw out another large piece of fresh meat, these tentacles, like little beasts waiting to be fed, immediately welcomed that piece of fresh meat.

Su Xiao started throwing piece by piece of fresh meat outward, those pink tentacles seemed to have some intelligence, not only did they not attack Su Xiao, but even stopped in front of him, waiting to be fed.

After nearly half a ton of meat was fed, Abaye’s tentacles began to weaken, looking like they were ready to sleep after having eaten their fill.

”Move aside.”

Su Xiao spoke, the pink tentacles sensed the sound and regained some vitality, they stretched in front of Su Xiao, seemingly unable to understand human language, but also didn’t attack Su Xiao.

Su Xiao hadn’t noticed this before, after Maha passed through, Abaye’s hostility towards the outside significantly decreased, as for Su Xiao attacking it, it didn’t care at all, because these tentacles were both tools for hunting and bait to lure prey, meant to be eaten by prey, the sweet taste was a lure.

Once prey consumed these tentacles, it would be paralyzed, Abaye would wrap up the paralyzed prey, gradually digesting it.

With fingertips, Su Xiao touched the paralyzing toxin on the ground, the numb sensation spread from the fingertips, strangely, this toxin had no corrosive properties.

Previously, when Su Xiao tested with an iron rod, this pink liquid had extremely strong corrosive properties, or rather, it was only corrosive against metal.

In such a harsh environment, simply relying on predator predators alone wouldn’t suffice, thus Abaye evolved the ability to decompose metal, its toxin, although looking intimidating, besides having super strong paralysis, wasn’t too dangerous.

After Maha left, the aura expelled by Abaye resembled an ultra-large Venus Flytrap, though the methods of hunting were brutal, its nature wasn’t aggressive.

Even, Abaye had some fear towards Su Xiao’s blood aura, as long as Su Xiao didn’t actively attack it, it would definitely not provoke Su Xiao.

This thing... only has hostility towards Maha, which is very interesting indeed.

Su Xiao took out a few test tubes, collecting some severe paralysis toxin from the ground, during the collection process he made some noise, but Abaye is a very ’Buddha-like’ plant, after eating its fill, it lazily drooped its tentacles, not attacking Su Xiao at all.

Su Xiao stepped into the shallow layer of toxin, confirming his guess, that this toxin didn’t corrode his shoes.

Just as Su Xiao walked into the tentacle group, the hanging pink tentacles dodged to the sides, the message clear: ’I’ll let you pass, don’t cut me.’

”Interesting plant, it seems to have no small feud with Maha, Maha definitely passed through here, what exactly is he hiding, or rather, what did he do here that absolutely cannot be disclosed.”

Su Xiao walked within the tentacle group, tentacles automatically stepping aside, when the last piece of tentacle ahead moved aside, Su Xiao saw Maha and others.

Killua was stunned seeing Su Xiao walking within the tentacle group.

”How... did you do that?”

The most incredulous was Maha, who had almost died here several times.

”Simple, feed them. Maha, when you previously went deep into Kukuru Mountain, it wasn’t just these tentacles that blocked you.”

Su Xiao directly pointed it out, if they started suspecting and guarding against each other now, there was simply no need to continue moving forward, it was more reliable to return the way they came.

”Indeed, before arriving here, there was information I wouldn’t share, I’ve delved deeper into Kukuru Mountain, what truly blocked me was another type of plant, since we’ve managed to reach here, I’ll tell you all known information about Kukuru Mountain.

Here, the real terror isn’t the harsh environment, but those plants with biological traits, the internal part of Kukuru Mountain is the kingdom of exotic plants, and I... am looking to find their ’king,’ the so-called king is the most crucial link in their ecological balance, as for this pink plant, it’s called Abaye, out of all exotic plants, it’s the most gentle, also the easiest to deal with.

Once we find that plant, the ecological balance of exotic plants here will be completely broken, then all we need is to break through the rocks forcefully and we’ll be able to leave Kukuru Mountain. Although I’ve concealed the situation here, if we can find that plant, within three days we’ll be able to leave Kukuru Mountain, I guarantee this with my life, this dying man has no need to utilize you, assuming I really wanted to use you, once you leave Kukuru Mountain alive, my offspring would face the consequences for me, which is something I least want to see.”

PS: (There are guests at home, it’s noisy, only two updates today.)
