Reincarnation Paradise Park

Chapter 1112: Chapter 114: Gamble Match

Su Xiao walked slowly on the street of Reincarnation Paradise. Although the enhancement of Dragon Slash to +10 was successful, it cost a total of 450,000 paradise coins. This does not include the consumption of ”Pure Black Carbon Stone”. Now there are only 15 of them left, to be reserved for use in impacting higher-level enhancements.

Having paid such a high price to enhance Dragon Slash, Su Xiao was still not sure how much the attributes of Dragon Slash had been improved. He checked the attributes of Dragon Slash.

Dragon Slash +10 (Blade Edge Value 0%)

Origin: Shadow of Annihilation Law

Quality: Gold

Category: Long Knife

Durability: 105/105

Attack Power: 142～217 (Increased by 11～17)

Note: This skill only works on living organisms. It is ineffective on Mechanical Ethnic, Undead, Energy beings, and Ghosts.

Supreme Blade Edge Effect 3: Dragon Shadow Flash (Active). When holding Dragon Slash, you can break open space barriers to move a distance of 6 meters, freely choosing between 0 meters and 6 meters (Enhancement +10 increases the maximum distance by 1 meter).

Note: The cooldown time of Dragon Shadow Flash (Active) is 2 minutes.

Note: Dragon Shadow Flash (Active) needs to consume 500 Blue Steel Shadow Energy (Enhancement +10 reduces energy consumption by 100 points).

Note: This skill awakened due to the improvement of Supreme Blade ability and devouring mid-level growth weapons.

...

Seeing the attributes of Dragon Slash, Su Xiao’s mood gradually improved. Although the cost was high, the effects of the +10 enhancement were very satisfactory; the slight improvement of Supreme Blade Edge Effect 2, the increase in the distance of penetration space, and the reduction in consumption by one-sixth finally improved the sharpness by 9 points.

The higher the quality of the equipment, the stronger the attributes displayed after enhancement. This is also the reason why the enhancement level decreased after Dragon Slash was upgraded in quality.

The enhancement of gold quality weapons to +12 is entirely different from the enhancement of light gold weapons to +12.

Originally, Su Xiao planned to enhance the legendary gear Spirit of Wood, but due to poor luck this time, he only had 100,000 paradise coins left, which is not nearly enough for the enhancement cost of a legendary gear.

Su Xiao is now very curious about one thing: just how strong he is now. The Naruto World was the world where he gained the most benefits, and now he has transformed all the benefits he received into strength.

Regarding the ”Golden Honor Medal”, there was nothing suitable for Su Xiao in this time’s Honor Shop.

Thinking of this, Su Xiao, who was aimlessly wandering, found a target, and the arena seemed to be a good choice.

Currently, Su Xiao has fought up to 9989th rank in the third-tier arena. With his previous strength, opponents encountered at this rank were already somewhat dangerous, and a little carelessness could end his winning streak.

But with Su Xiao’s current combat strength, being ranked at 9989th seems more like a breeze...

He has already won 68 matches in a row, and if he wins over 100 matches in a row, his rank will rapidly soar, potentially soon reaching the top 100.

If he reaches the top 100, the distance to the top ten won’t be far, and if he can fight into the top ten of the third-tier arena, then every rank enhancement will bring considerable benefits.

Thinking of this, Su Xiao quickened his pace. He still has more than 70 hours left to stay in Reincarnation Paradise, which is about three days. This is the time he exchanged for half of his real-world staying time as Reincarnation Paradise staying time.

With a good three days ahead, Su Xiao plans to spend these three days fiercely rushing for rank in the arena, aiming at least for the top 100, ideally within the top 50.

To other Contractors, such speed would be somewhat inconceivable, but with Su Xiao’s current combat power, it’s not impossible.

Besides, Su Xiao just mastered the Dragon Shadow Flash ability. This ability is definitely not just about moving distance; it awaits Su Xiao’s development, similar to how he developed from an energy shield to a counter shield, energy knife net, bouncing shield blade, etc.

Su Xiao believes there must be many ways to use Dragon Shadow Flash. This ability, which lets him move 6 meters, will slightly change his combat style, making it more agile, and the long knife in his hand will be even more dangerous.

[You have entered the arena, please select a mode]

[Competitive Mode / Spectator Mode.]

...

A lot of prompts appeared. Su Xiao didn’t look carefully at those prompts, and he quickly chose a mode while sitting on the sofa in the break room.

’Solo Battle, freely match opponents, non-designated scene, unlimited audience, unlimited opponents, unlimited opponent rank range.’

Su Xiao chose three unlimiteds in a row, which although might match him with all sorts of gods and monsters, its advantage is fast matching speed.

[Arena Competitor: Su Xiao.]

[Status: Good.]

[Ranking: 9989th (Third Tier).]

[Winning streak: 68 matches.]

[Top 10 rewards: Not acquired.]

[Matching opponent for Hunter.]

[Matching...]

[Match completed, opponent rank: 8377th.]

The opponent matched this time was ranked more than a thousand places higher than Su Xiao, and because Su Xiao’s consecutive wins were too many, no opponent was matched around the same rank.

Su Xiao inserted the Dragon Slash sheathed on his waist and picked up the red half-face metal mask from the crystal table. This thing can cover the lower half of Su Xiao’s face and keep his identity unknown to his opponent.

Teleportation effects appeared, and light and shadow flickered before Su Xiao’s eyes. When he regained his senses, he was standing on a pitch-black metal arena platform. The diameter of the platform was about 300 meters, surrounded by a light blue energy shield, and traces of blood were faintly visible on the ground.

A circular audience area surrounded the arena. Because Su Xiao’s opponent rank was not low, there were at least 2000 people present this time, more than 80% of whom were Workers.

”A thousand plus rank difference, how to place bets?”

”Of course, bet on Eugene. He’s the rookie from the Black Hand Adventure Group; I’ve bet on him for 5 matches and earned a net 7000 paradise coins.”

”This is hard to say, anyone who can compete with an opponent of such rank difference might be explosively strong. I’m betting 2000 paradise coins this time, I’m wagering that this gentleman is very strong.”

The atmosphere on the audience stands was lively. The stringent rules of the arena indicate that there’s likely a substantial number of Contractors or Workers involved in betting combat, which is permitted by Reincarnation Paradise.

Of course, competitors can’t bet on their own wins or losses, as this is an ironclad rule not to be violated.

Although Su Xiao was aware of gambling in the arena, he genuinely didn’t expect so many people bet. Just as Su Xiao was ready for battle, an arena prompt appeared.

[Notice: Hunter has entered the top 10000 ranks within the third-tier arena.]

[Arena Betting (Participants) has been activated.]

[If Hunter wins the match, they will receive 0.5% of the total betting amount in paradise coins.]

[Total betting amount: 85345 points... 85681 points... 86250 points... 87122 points...]
