Chapter 1119: Chapter 4: A Dreamlike Beginning

Su Xiao stood up from the ground, shaking his slightly numb leg, and flung away a small segment of intestine.

Su Xiao’s foot landed, directly stamping a bloody footprint.

”Such resilient life force.”

Su Xiao stepped forward, moving through the broken holes of several buildings, arriving in front of the half-collapsed mall.

The shattered concrete was pushed up, and Etas stood up from the ruins of the building.

”Cough cough cough...”

Etas held his mouth, emitting a dry cough, with a large amount of fresh blood seeping through his fingers.

Looking at Etas’ abdomen at this moment, it was mostly gone, with numerous damaged organs exposed, broken ribs piercing flesh, making his abdomen look as if it had been bitten by an evil beast.

”Huff... huff...”

Etas breathed heavily, his eyes fixed intently on Su Xiao.

”What... is going on.”

In the consciousness space, Little Orange was shivering in fear.

”What’s going on? Why do you think I agreed to flee earlier? The Hunter exists precisely to eliminate people like us; every Hunter is an executioner among executioners.”

This violator had been chased by a Hunter once; it was his first taste of despair. If it hadn’t been for an urgent matter requiring the Hunter’s attention, breaking off the chase, he would’ve died. Since then, he advocated for immediate pleasures, which led to him trying to forcefully assault Little Orange.

”Today, we die here.”

Etas’ voice spread in the consciousness space, trembling with excitement, characteristic of the combat race’s strange thinking.

”Are you... intending to continue fighting him? Let Little Orange take over the body; with her ability, we might escape. Fighting to the end with the Hunter is too foolish...”

”Shut up.”

Etas’ voice was low and deep.

”I don’t care about the Hunter. This guy is the Shadow of Annihilation Law, and to battle with the legendary Shadow of Annihilation Law, what does it matter if I die in battle? Rather than dragging on with a broken body, I prefer to die in battle here.”

Etas’ rugged face showed a grin, and he shouted loudly: ”Annihilator (Void language).”

Upon hearing this special language, Su Xiao raised his eyebrows, already having mastered the Void language during his time fighting in the Void Colosseum.

”Kaga family.”

Su Xiao didn’t speak the Void language, finding its pronunciation awkward at the moment.

”Hahaha.”

Etas suddenly laughed, a large amount of blood pouring from the corner of his mouth. He didn’t say anything inspiring, instead using his hand to snap several badly deformed ribs to ensure he could continue fighting.

Etas lowered his body, blood had already dyed his lower half red, with a large pool of blood at his feet.

Bang!

Debris flew, as Etas charged straight toward Su Xiao, causing blood to spray several meters away from the intense movement.

Su Xiao stood still, his legs slightly apart, long knife slicing forward at high speed.

Clang, clang, clang...

The dense blade aura flew towards the charging Etas, with at least a hundred intersecting paths, leaving no room for dodge.

Blade aura engulfed Etas, yet he continued forward, sounds of flesh cutting echoed nonstop, leaving large areas of blood on the ground along the way.

After slashing over a hundred blade auras, Su Xiao stopped swinging the knife, white hot air rising from Dragon Slash’s blade edge due to the heat created by the knife’s friction with air at high speeds.

With a thud, a stout arm fell before Su Xiao, even at the last moment this Void creature didn’t give up fighting; for a combat race, fighting is their essence, ready to die for battle.

Most can’t understand such will, but from their perspective, if it were a star in the Void at constant war, birthing a combat race wouldn’t be surprising. Their mission is combat, to fight to death for the Royal Family, much like livestock providing meat to humans, harsh but real.

Initially when Etas actively approached Su Xiao, he was puzzled, as past violators would evade as far as possible; yet this time, they actively presented themselves at the start of the Derivative World.

Undoubtedly, this was the fastest and easiest hunt Su Xiao had completed; he hadn’t even clearly understood the timeline of the Hunter World yet already fulfilled his task. He hadn’t even had time to check the main task, sudden but he appreciated such a direct ’violator’.

The situation arose because this Void creature sought death, during their fight Su Xiao sensed it, the opponent’s body sustained irreversible damage, his earlier kick almost shattered him into pieces, still standing was purely due to willpower.

”Forgot to ask this guy’s name.”

For opponents with such character, even if fields are opposed, Su Xiao wouldn’t dislike them, despite their ugly appearance.

Su Xiao looked at the minced flesh ahead, the Void creature was indeed dead, but the violator remained alive.

With three consciousnesses coexisting in one body, the main consciousness dies with the body’s demise, without a doubt, but the other two can linger briefly.

Using intuition ability, Su Xiao quickly noticed the two severed arms on the ground, silently lying there, ’playing dead’.

Su Xiao approached one severed arm, ready to slice it, when a female voice emerged.

”Wait.”

Su Xiao looked surprised; this thing could still talk?

”Worker?”

”Hmm, hmm.”

”You get one sentence to prove you’re a worker.”

”Eh?”

”Failed to prove.”

”Why is it like this...”

The worker girl’s heart was collapsing; at this moment, the arm she was in became enveloped by space-time power.

Space twisted rapidly, the arm vanished, Su Xiao knew from the hunt task’s introduction this worker likely wouldn’t die, possibly related to a rule in Reincarnation Paradise, or that from beginning she was caught in crossfire, much like Seven Desires.

Su Xiao guessed correctly, the worker girl’s fate was even worse than Seven Desires, now she had been teleported back to Reincarnation Paradise, memories related to Hunter, violator, etc., erased.

This time the violator’s identity was clear, Su Xiao unleashed several blade auras, shattering the remaining arm.

Still no prompt appeared; as Su Xiao prepared to obliterate the arm, a prompt appeared.

[Hunter has completed the hunt task.]

[Evaluating this hunt task...]

[Void creature cleared, violator cleared, worker survived (rating increased by 1 level).]

[Total time: 5 minutes and 36 seconds (rating increased by 2 levels).]

[Evaluation complete, final rating: S+.]

[Obtained 3 Golden Honor Medals, due to final rating of S+, additional 2 Golden Honor Medals awarded.]

...

With 5 Golden Honor Medals in hand, Su Xiao felt good, experiencing once again how strong Dragon Shadow Flash ability was; before obtaining it, he would’ve struggled against this Void creature.

But now, he crushed the Void creature throughout the fight, only sustaining a minor cut on his jaw.

Resolving the violator early in the Derivative World allowed Su Xiao to fully engage in this world.

”First, confirm the timeline; if time permits, a visit to the Zoldyck Family may yield unexpected gains.”

Su Xiao had a decent relationship with Grandpa Zeno of the Zoldyck Family, grandfather to Killua, and had interacted with Killua’s father Silva, and battled with Killua’s elder brother Ilmi.
