Reincarnation Paradise Park

Chapter 34: Chapter 2: The Fangs Emerge

At this moment, the information about the Derivative World finally appeared before Su Xiao.

[Enter the World; Tokyo Ghoul] ℯℯ𝘭.

World Difficulty: LV.3. Difficult (Difficulty level lowered due to the average strength of ordinary Contractors.)

World Source: 0% (Increases as the Hunter explores or interacts with inhabitants of the current world, contributing to final ratings upon world settlement.)

World Introduction: In the chaotic and bustling modern society, Tokyo is infested with a kind of man-eating monsters called Ghouls. These Ghouls are indistinguishable from normal humans in appearance, but when the Rc cells inside them are active, they display Red Eye. Ghouls maintain the activity of their Rc cells by consuming humans, which also grants them physical abilities far superior to ordinary people.

Main Mission: Join either CCG (Ghoul Investigator) or the Ghoul side (Aogiri Tree, Clown). Subsequent missions will be activated once the Hunter allies with a faction.

Hunting Mission: Eliminate Violator Contractor No. 12470. The hunting function activates automatically when the Hunter is within a one-kilometer range of Contractor No. 12470.

Warning: Do not mention anything related to ’Paradise’ in this world. If the warning is ignored, you will be executed!

Note: The main task in this world is a chain mission; returning to Reincarnation Paradise is an option after completing three main tasks (the Hunter needs to complete the hunting mission). The more main tasks completed, the higher the overall evaluation will be.

Note: The Hunter has not mastered the language of this world. Spend 100 Paradise coins to automatically acquire the language of this world.

The world begins!

...

Seeing that the world difficulty is Lv.3, Su Xiao let out a sigh of relief, a smile appearing on his face.

Finally, it’s not a deadly Nightmare Difficulty. He will not feel as restrained as in the Pirate World; now he just needs to assess the strengths of Ghouls and CCG.

This is the first time Su Xiao has received a chain main mission. As for what to choose, of course, he chooses CCG.

Joining the Ghouls is a very bad choice. Not to mention his identity as a human, the Ghouls’ way of hiding everywhere makes them feel untrustworthy.

As for the hunting mission, Su Xiao is completely clueless. This unfortunate No. 12470, he has no idea who this person might be.

No clues at present, the hint from Reincarnation Paradise is that within a kilometer range, he can track the opponent.

Fortunately, Tokyo City is not large, and a kilometer perception range is sufficient.

Now he just needs to complete the main mission normally. The main mission has a deadline of 48 hours, and the penalty for failure is a deduction of 13,000 Paradise coins. If the Paradise coins are not enough, then equipment will be deducted, and if that is still not enough, then just wait for death.

As for the hunting mission, Su Xiao doesn’t see any penalties nor any time limits.

Su Xiao feels that there are other hidden secrets in the hunting mission, perhaps because it’s not time yet.

Any contractor that appears on his hunting list is definitely not a well-behaved guy. The opponent might soon jump out to court death, and he is not in a hurry.

”Tap, tap, tap~.”

Footsteps echoed from a distant corridor, as a burly man wearing a mask emerged from the darkness.

”It seems the title of Big Eater is not for nothing.”

The man was dressed in a white suit, wearing a white mask with vent holes at the mouth and nose positions. When approaching Li Shi, he pressed his thumb against his index finger, making a crisp clicking sound.

Li Shi stopped eating, her face somewhat displeased.

”I hate being interrupted while dining...”

The two began to converse, a thick atmosphere of gunpowder spreading, it seemed a confrontation was imminent.

”This is bad, Lord Han Yu, what should we do? Two S-Level Ghouls, Kamishiro Rize is between S-level and SS-level.”

The hearts of many contractors went cold. Not only they, but Han Yu hadn’t seen such a start either. Reincarnation Paradise actually teleported them in front of two S-Level Ghouls.

”Escape immediately after the protective barrier disappears; life and death depend on luck.”

Han Yu was no longer at ease, tightly gripping the Scepter in his hand.

The protective barrier had less than a minute before it vanished. Once it disappeared, it might spell their doom.

Su Xiao had long recognized the two people in front of him. The purple-haired beauty was Kamishiro Rize, and the masked suit man was named Owashi Uri. Owashi Uri might sound unfamiliar, but the CCG called him Jason, and the Ghouls referred to him as Gecko, the one who ’trained’ Kaneki Ken in the original work.

”I’ve been ordered to bring you back, and alive.”

Gecko held a long-handled pair of pliers in his hand, which was actually a surgical tool for Ghouls.

Ghouls are different from ordinary humans; due to a large amount of Rc cells, their skin is very tough. Ordinary knives or medical instruments can hardly harm them.

In the Ghoul world, even ordinary humans have traces of Rc cells in their bodies, but only in small amounts. Ghouls consume humans not just due to hunger but also to replenish Rc cells in their bodies.

It can be said that Rc cells are a very magical energy; they can enhance the body and form powerful weapons like Heko. If not for the cannibalistic desire they impart, Rc cells could be considered a good enhancement method, at least better than the vulnerabilities of vampire or werewolf bloodlines.

Su Xiao guesses that there might be contractors in Reincarnation Paradise who enhance themselves using this method. Although he wouldn’t choose it, some heavy taste contractors might consider it.

The battle between Li Shi and Gecko was about to erupt, with Gecko in a heightened state of excitement.

”Before taking you back, could you give me a finger, three or four arms, five or six legs?”

Gecko laughed loudly, this guy was a sadist; rather than killing his opponent, Gecko preferred to torture.

”Such a big body, yet likes small toys, are you fond of playing house? So cute.”

Li Shi’s taunt angered Gecko, who directly charged at Li Shi, swinging the long-handled pliers towards the back of her head.

Li Shi did not turn back; four Hekos suddenly sprung from the end of her spine.

The Hekos were dark red, resembling four long tails, shimmering with a red glow, indicating Rc cells being highly active.

”Boom.”

Gecko was pushed back a few steps by Li Shi’s Heko, piercing the tank beside them, causing a flood of water.

Li Shi had no intention of fighting Gecko; she leaped high, preparing to leave.

Just as Li Shi leaped high, the protective barrier around Su Xiao disappeared, time was up.

In a flash, Su Xiao’s leg muscles tightened, and he leaped fiercely, a shadow crossing the air.

He reappeared mid-air, right in front of Li Shi.

Su Xiao delivered a fierce kick to Li Shi’s soft abdomen.

Airborne, Li Shi was a bit startled, unable to dodge Su Xiao’s attack, her beautiful face immediately showed pain.

”Boom.”

With one kick, Li Shi crashed to the ground, rolling several times.

Landing, Su Xiao flexed his slightly sore calf, surprised by the Ghoul’s tough skin.

”Zhan Long Flash” appeared in his hand, Su Xiao smiled while looking at Li Shi and Gecko.

”So this is an S-Level Ghoul? Haha~, surprisingly weak. I was wondering how to join CCG. Killing you two should suffice.”

Li Shi struggled to her feet, blood trickling from the corner of her mouth, warily eyeing Su Xiao. Her beautiful eyes scanned around, already considering how to escape.

The distant contractors were dumbfounded, and Han Yu was cold with sweat, finally understanding why they encountered two S-Level Ghouls at the start.

It was because, among the contractors, there was an even more monstrous existence. Reincarnation Paradise created this scene to balance the story.
