Reincarnation Paradise Park

Chapter 19: Chapter 19: The Eve

In an abandoned warehouse, Klick and Ah Jin were waiting anxiously.

”Ka-da~.”

The long-unused warehouse door made a grinding noise.

Klick and Ah Jin became alert at the same time, both were pirates, accustomed to the edge of danger.

Su Xiao stood at the warehouse entrance, not stepping in immediately.

”Wait here for me.”

After speaking, Su Xiao walked into the warehouse. Hank, behind him, opened his mouth but ultimately didn’t utter a word, staying outside to guard.

Stepping into the warehouse, Su Xiao saw some haphazardly placed wooden crates, the floor covered in dust, indicating the warehouse had been abandoned for a long time.

”Too slow, is this the attitude of the Goa Kingdom?”

Klick spoke first, with a somewhat unfriendly tone.

Su Xiao chuckled lightly, sizing up Klick in front of him.

With a tall stature, his appearance hidden under a hood, though a few meters away, Su Xiao detected a strange odor.

It was the scent of some potent poison. Su Xiao sometimes coated his blade with poison and was familiar with the smell.

”Leave the matter to you, once it’s done, the Kingdom will bestow you with a noble title.”

Su Xiao went straight to the point, not wanting to waste words with these pirates.

”Just like that? Wasn’t there talk of three competing forces...?”

Klick’s words were cut off mid-sentence by Su Xiao.

”No, those two groups are rabble. I have the decision-making power; you only need to answer agree or disagree.”

Interrupted midsentence, Klick was clearly dissatisfied, but being within the Goa Royal Capital, he dared not be too arrogant.

Su Xiao wasn’t alone to meet Klick; over a hundred guards were lying in ambush near the warehouse.

Klick hesitated, appearing not very trusting of Su Xiao, or rather, he didn’t trust the Goa Kingdom.

”First, explain specifically what needs to be done.”

The task of incinerating the Scrap End Station was only known to insiders of the Royal Capital, outsiders were unaware.

Klick belonged to an external roaming force, thus wasn’t clear about the details. These guys were lured by the promise of noble status.

”Ignite the Scrap End Station at six o’clock tomorrow evening, the timing must be precise... ”

Su Xiao began narrating the specifics, with Klick and Ah Jin listening becoming increasingly serious.

”Burn it all down? This would be somewhat challenging; the Scrap End Station covers a significant area.”

”Don’t you know there’s something called explosives?”

Su Xiao stared at Klick, ready for any sudden change; the negotiation had reached its most critical point.

”What a joke, such an amount of explosives unless you provide them, otherwise I choose to give up.”

Klick’s attitude, Su Xiao had long anticipated.

”Is that so? That’s truly unfortunate.”

With that, Su Xiao prepared to turn and leave, skipping the bargaining part with Klick altogether.

”Wait a minute.”

Ah Jin stopped Su Xiao, then whispered to Klick:

”Boss, if we move all the explosives from the ship, the amount would be sufficient.”

Klick angrily glared at Su Xiao. He knew the ship’s explosives were enough, just loathe to part with them.

”Do you really think just igniting the Scrap End Station can earn you a noble title? The explosives must be provided by you, or no deal.”

Half an hour later, Su Xiao walked out of the warehouse, leaving behind a very reluctant Klick and Ah Jin.

As a preliminary benefit, Su Xiao left behind a certificate, a document for the testing of noble status by the Kingdom.

As long as Klick signed the document and later certified it at the Kingdom, Klick could become a noble.

Moreover, this document couldn’t be unilaterally voided as it was stamped by the World Government.

Pirates were not easy to deceive. Without offering real bait, they would never risk their lives.

”Master Bai Ye, have the matters been settled?”

Hank tentatively asked, Su Xiao’s footsteps suddenly stopped.

”Are you sure you want to know?”

The cold look from Su Xiao made Hank instinctively take a few steps back.

”I wouldn’t dare.”

At this moment, Hank deeply regretted not killing Su Xiao when choosing weapons.

”Hank, there is something I need you to do, and it’s ’very important’.”

After speaking, Su Xiao signaled for the guards hidden around to reveal themselves. Over a hundred guards assembled behind him, as he led them back to the guard headquarters.

-------------------

As night fell, Su Xiao sat alone in the office at the guard headquarters, the room completely dark.

The sudden appearance of the Klick Pirate Group didn’t disrupt Su Xiao’s plans; instead, it made his plans proceed more smoothly.

With his elbow resting on the desk, Su Xiao gently pressed his forehead.

Although he considered himself fairly clever, he knew the plan wasn’t perfect and there were possibly unknown loopholes.

But there’s nothing he can do about it; he’s too weak now and can only rely on strategy to achieve his goals.

With Su Xiao’s way of doing things, he prefers to solve problems with the knife in his hand.

”Soon, just need to leave this high-risk world.”

Although the first world he experienced was the high-risk world of One Piece, he believes Reincarnation Paradise won’t keep throwing him into worlds five levels higher than him.

The reason he entered the Pirate World might be a test from Reincarnation Paradise, a test regarding his identity as a Hunter.

Or perhaps, he’s not actually a Hunter until he completes the main mission; he only has the title without the function.

Su Xiao slept in the office that night.

Early the next morning, Su Xiao woke up and started preparing for tonight’s action.

It’s the last day of the main mission’s time limit; at midnight tonight, his mission will reach the maximum time limit.

Tonight, he will assassinate the King of Goa Kingdom; success or failure will be determined by this.

Su Xiao was busy throughout the day; as the primary person in charge of the Scrap End Station burning, no matter which department he faced, they would ’make way’ for him.

The Left Minister is already completely done for; when Su Xiao saw him, those lifeless eyes gave him a chill down his spine.

He worked non-stop until four in the afternoon, then he went into the office at the guard headquarters and disappeared from everyone’s sight.

Now he just needs to wait for the pirates outside the city to ignite the Scrap End Station.

The purpose of burning the Scrap End Station, as far as Goa Kingdom is concerned, is quite laughable.

In a few days, the Celestial Dragon People will come for an inspection, and to keep them from seeing the huge garbage mountain outside the city, Goa Kingdom decided to incinerate the entire Scrap End Station, along with the refugees outside the city.

There are at least thousands of refugees outside the city.

This is the Pirate World’s rulers; to prevent the upper class from seeing stains, they’re willing to burn tens of thousands of people.

At five in the evening, the sky was gradually darkening, the night breeze gently blowing, and in an hour, it would be time to burn the Scrap End Station, the city was eerily quiet.

In the pitch-black office, only Su Xiao was sitting behind the desk, suddenly a Green treasure chest appeared in his hand.

This treasure chest was obtained after killing the owner of Mount Corvo; he simply hadn’t had the time to open it recently.

The green treasure chest filled Su Xiao with anticipation, a smile appearing on his tired face.

[Treasure Chest (Green), Open/Do Not Open]

Su Xiao chose to open it, and several items appeared in his hand.

[You opened the Green Treasure Chest and obtained the following items]

[Received 1000 Paradise coins]

[Received Soul Crystal (small)]

[Received Tiger Claw]

....

No equipment was found, but that was expected.

Su Xiao has opened several treasure chests and has some understanding of the treasure chest rules.

The item level obtained from opening a treasure chest is related to the color of the chest, and the qualities he knows of are White

As for the equipment or items from the treasure chest, it’s related to the person or animal that dropped the chest.

For instance, if Su Xiao kills a tiger, the treasure chest dropped by the tiger will never contain a sword or a shield.

Killing a tiger most likely results in getting a tiger’s claw or pelt, and the same applies to killing humans.

When killing a black market merchant, Su Xiao got an introduction letter left by the black market merchant.

After killing Ou Ka, Su Xiao obtained the pendant Ou Ka wore.

....

Su Xiao examined the items in his hand.

The Paradise coins were directly stored in the branding; although called Paradise coins, they’re actually a formless currency.

....

Playing with the Soul Crystal in his hand, Su Xiao is completely clueless about the two new items he just received.

But he has a feeling that this crystalline, only fingertip-sized Soul Crystal might be the most valuable item he’s ever obtained.

Everything will become clear once he returns to Reincarnation Paradise; for now, his main task is to complete the mission.

Time has unknowingly reached six in the evening.

Su Xiao left the office, disappearing into the night; he will either complete the mission tonight or die in the Royal Palace; there’s no third option.
