Treasure Hunting System： The Ocean Conquerer

Lucilia was pushing Alka’s butt, staring up at him: ”Get up, get up.”

Upon hearing this, Alka hurriedly stood up.

This state indicated that Lucilia was still immersed in her focus.

Sure enough, as soon as Alka stepped aside, Lucilia squatted on the giant stone he had just been sitting on, observing something.

Evidently, Alka had coincidentally sat on a stone with information.

This incident made them lose the desire to chat, crouching beside to closely watch Lucilia’s work.

Lucilia was scrutinizing the sphere from various angles, and then her eyes suddenly rolled back as a faint soul energy seeped from them.

Then, she murmured a peculiar language.

This language was low and dark, with a tone like wailing curses.

The entire language seemed very bizarre, yet audible.

But as she continued to speak, it felt very vague to listen.

As these words endlessly came forth, the soul within Lucilia’s eyes gradually floated out, then entwined upon the giant stone.

Interestingly, a faint soul energy also emerged from the stone.

These soul energies floated and intertwined, seeming to convey some kind of information, but for Alka and the others, witnessing such weak soul energy was already the limit.

Only Lucilia seemed capable of discerning some retained information from these soul energies.

Lucilia closed her eyes, apparently receiving this information, then nodded and said, ”I roughly understand the era of these ruins.”

”Tell me,” Alka urged curiously from the side.

If it’s accurate, the treasure’s information would certainly expand further.

Lucilia nodded and said, ”The Saralan Empire persisted for thousands of years from its establishment to destruction. It was an empire that stretched over a long period, naturally undergoing countless changes in rulers and power hierarchies.

Chaos, internal conflict, and division were unavoidable in its history, and not just once.

Around the Saralan Empire year 3114, a dispute arose over the throne.

For an empire existing for such a long time, by then it had already shown signs of decay and rigidity.

Even before this, the Saralan Empire had been restructured due to war once.”

Listening to Lucilia’s narration, Alka nodded.

He was familiar with this history.

After all, it was an empire that existed for thousands of years, with the human nature to maintain an empire for so long.

Besides the divine existence and the world’s unique geographical conditions in this world,

it’s also due to the generally long lifespan of people in this world.

And major wars were quite rare.

The empire’s downfall was mostly due to internal problems.

Internal corruption, and around its 1500th year of continuation, it could no longer go on and collapsed.

Then for nearly 300 years of feudal chaos, after which the country reformed but still retained the name Saralan Empire.

It was an inevitable cycle.

This cycle of division and regrouping had occurred two or three times in the decaying state of Saralan.

Perhaps because the name Saralan was too significant, the nation continued using this imperial name even after restructuring.

As for the internal power structure, it had changed countless times.

To summarize briefly:

The race remained, but the nation was no longer the former nation.

Though all were called the Saralan Empire, considering them as different dynasties due to this cycle, seeing them in sequential order, was entirely plausible.

But because the name Saralan was too crucial for the race, for this land, deeply rooted in the soul, it was nearly the core of their nation’s essence.

”The dispute at that time was sparked by the emperor’s three offspring.

His three children were each outstanding heroes of their generation, unwilling to submit to one another.

Thus, they split into three different national factions on the erstwhile Saralan Empire’s territory.

A chaotic war lasted for 160 years, ending finally with the Second Prince’s victory.

Ironically, this Second Prince only reigned for 10 years, before succumbing due to old age and the injuries and pressures of war.”

”So, is this ruin associated with the Second Prince?” Alka asked from the side.

”Fool, of course not. It’s the First Prince’s,” Lucilia replied.

”Based on the power distribution of the time, the area we’re currently in should have been the First Prince’s capital city.

This ruin possibly dates back to that era.”

Hearing Lucilia’s straightforward explanation, the two nodded in realization, expressing their understanding.

Seeing their feedback, Lucilia nodded with satisfaction.

Then Lucilia began hopping around the ruins again, explaining some information she had obtained to them.

Including what this building used to be for and the reasons behind its destruction, and so on.

Later, they proceeded towards other parts of the ruins, including areas others considered informative.

After a tour, the group gathered together, waiting for Lucilia’s conclusion.

Among them, only Lucilia truly would meticulously observe, analyze, and read through the entire thousands-years history of the Saralan Empire when idle.
