Treasure Hunting System： The Ocean Conquerer

This is a Ghost Knight, riding a ghostly horse, appearing before everyone.

Seeing these two figures appear in front of them, Julia did not seem very surprised.

Alka walked over and looked at the two.

His eyes could see that both of these ghostly figures had strength at the Fifth Stage.

”Are you the powerful stranger Kekla mentioned?” The Ghost Knight looked at Alka and said.

Alka nodded.

The female ghost wearing lightweight Refined Armor looked around and said, ”Are you here for the Cloud Staff?”

It seemed they were very clear about why strangers might come here.

Faced with such a question, Alka nodded without hesitation. Obviously, there was nothing to hide.

”That’s right, we are Treasure Hunters, following the clues all the way here.”

”Then let’s be direct, we can’t let you take the Cloud Staff. It is very important to us, to souls who still have personal will, and even to these Evil Spirits,” the female ghost said without hesitation.

Alka nodded.

In this situation, the fact that the Cloud Staff was still here spoke volumes.

Without saying much, he waved his hand and a bench made of earth and stones appeared.

”Sit down, if you don’t mind, let’s talk about the situation here? I’m very curious about it,” he said.

With that, Alka sat down.

Chadite and the others also sat down one by one. Seeing this, the two ghostly figures exchanged glances, thought for a moment, and found places to sit as well, with the ghostly horse standing quietly behind them.

”Let me introduce myself, I’m Alka, captain of the Compass Eye Treasure Hunting Team, and these are my companions.”

”Saralan Empire, Third Legion, Assault Knight Order captain, Henggs.”

”Saralan Empire, National Curse Magic Group, Soul Scholar, Lumina.”

Upon hearing their introductions, Lucilia immediately said, ”I remember these two names, they were among the heroes, like the Cloud Sage, who were ultimately responsible for fending off the demons to allow others to escape.”

”And Henggs, he should also be a member of the Curse Sword Clan.”

In response to Lucilia’s words, the two ghostly figures were not surprised. Apparently, it was not their first time interacting with outsiders.

They might even have a fair understanding of some situations outside.

Alka nodded, looked at them, and said, ”Nice to meet you.”

”If you don’t mind, could you tell me why the Cloud Staff is so important to you?”

Saying that, Alka crossed his arms and a faint golden light shimmered on his forehead.

This was the first time he had so openly revealed his identity as a Holy Mother’s Saint.

But it must be said, such openness was indeed very effective.

Especially in a situation like now, where neither side trusted the other, and the question Alka asked was quite private.

The two ghostly figures looked at the situation.

Lumina thought for a moment and said, ”The reason he is so important is because he anchors all the Evil Spirits here, including us... and even some Demon souls.”

Upon hearing this, everyone present fell into contemplation, as this was evidently of utmost importance.

”If... it were taken away, what would happen?” Chadite couldn’t help but ask.

Upon hearing this, Lumina looked at her and said, ”You’d better not have such thoughts. If it were taken, the Abyss’s aura would infect us ghostly souls who still retain personal will.

And all these Evil Spirits that have already been tainted by the Abyss’s aura would spread out, becoming unrestrained and rampant around here.

And those Demon souls that are also anchored here would return to the Abyss, only to re-emerge.”

”Hmm... It all sounds like bad news,” Pororo said.

”Though it might be presumptuous to ask, I want to ask. For the situation to be like this, you must have done something.

Did you perform some kind of necromantic ritual, binding the souls to this region, causing these souls to be invaded by the Abyss and turn into Evil Spirits?”

Lucilia, sitting on Alka’s shoulder, looked at Lumina and asked.

Faced with such a question, Lumina nodded without hesitation.

”That’s right, all of this is my doing, including our current state, the existence of those Evil Spirits were all due to actions I took at the time.”

”No, it wasn’t the actions you took. It was the path we chose. You just helped us fulfill our request.”

Henggs, who hadn’t spoken much, suddenly said.

”If you don’t mind, could you talk about the situation back then? This is a piece of lost history, and we happen to be very curious about it,” Alka said.
