Treasure Hunting System： The Ocean Conquerer

Jason’s voice brought Alka’s thoughts back. Looking at Jason, who had come in without him noticing, Alka nodded.

”That’s right, the frequency of front-line attacks has significantly decreased recently, it’s a rare chance to rest.”

This means that not only him, but everyone present would become very idle.

Jason leaned forward, tilting his head to look at the map in front of Alka.

”Here... it doesn’t seem far from here.”

Alka nodded and then a map of the entire World Scar appeared in his hand. He tapped it twice.

”Just in this area, no more than a day or two away, very close.”

”That close, then I’ll go too.”

”Aren’t you taking a break?” Hearing this, Alka looked up at Jason and asked.

After all, Jason and the others just returned yesterday.

”This close place is no different from taking a walk, just consider it as resting.”

Mainly with their current strength, searching for a Holy Grail-level treasure, it’s hard for them to encounter a difficulty that requires more power than they possess.

Thinking about the difficulty of this treasure, Alka decided to let everyone act together then.

Anyway, the defense level of the Return City has been rising recently, and thanks to the front-line easing, many mercenaries and strongmen have started rotating back to the rear to rest.

This also caused quite a number of powerful fighters in the increasingly prominent Return City in the past couple of years.

After all, where else would a new city emerge in such a ghostly place, and more or less, they have seen or used the weapons provided by Return City in the past two years, so of course everyone is curious.

These strongmen who came to satisfy their curiosity, along with the church stationed here and the mechanics from the Holy Machine Church exchanging with the Vastva people. These are enough for them not to need to guard here at all times.

A rare chance for everyone to act together, with low difficulty, close by, and well within Alka’s speedy teleportation range.

Thinking this through, Alka nodded and stood up again to say, ”Then let’s all act together. Isn’t this a rare opportunity?”

Hearing this, the few people left in the hall couldn’t help but look up at Alka.

After thinking for a while, they nodded.

”Since there’s no problem, let’s discuss further over dinner in the evening, and depart after two days of rest.”

After making the decision, Alka sat back on the sofa and began to study the information and plan about the treasure.

...

Two days passed quickly.

Well-rested, Alka and his companions each prepared briefly before leaving Return City together.

Because this treasure hunting trip also had the purpose of resting and unwinding, Alka did not use the Mirror Surface for fast flying.

Everyone thus strolled leisurely along the safe route.

After all, the area they were headed to was actually only a few dozen kilometers from the safe route.

”They seem quite afraid of us?” Lucilia, sitting on Alka’s shoulder, pointed at the convoy ahead and asked.

This was a convoy leaving Return City, loaded with maintenance parts and lots of ammunition.

Due to the importance of the materials, there were quite a few defending soldiers and even some mercenaries.

Alka and the others just tagged along with this convoy.

However, due to Alka’s performance on the front line over the past two years, their reputation in the World Scar has become rather well-known.

This also made the convoy reluctant to provoke Alka; after all, they weren’t familiar.

Not understanding Alka and his companions’ style.

Mainly because Alka too easily attracted demon attacks, causing the convoy to remain vigilant, which was exhausting.

”After all, we’re now different from before, considered celebrities. I know the leader of this convoy from before; he might be afraid of angering us,” Jason answered with a smile.

The others didn’t mind.

At this moment, Simon suddenly looked at Alka and asked, ”I’ve been a bit busy lately and forgot to ask. What’s the feedback from the ghost spirits regarding the new function for the Soul-Host Puppets?”

Hearing Simon’s question, Alka’s expression immediately became bizarre, momentarily unsure how to respond.

Seeing Alka’s odd face and Simon’s question, Jason sensed something interesting.

He instantly became curious.

For the past half year, Simon had been treasure hunting with Jason, so the new function for the Soul-Host Puppets was sent to Alka through the Dream Realm, asking him to help manufacture and install it.

And some new functions, Alka strangely went and installed them.

Sitting on Alka’s shoulder, Lucilia also curiously asked, ”What new function?”

”Human simulation system,” Simon replied, thinking there was nothing amiss.

Just full of curiosity.

”What kind of function is this?” Lucilia asked confusedly, with the professional system name being beyond her understanding.

This thing was originally named by Simon, so unless he explains, no one knew.

Alka silently reached out, scratched his nose.

Hearing Lucilia’s question and the curious gazes of everyone, Alka opened his mouth and began to speak.

”Uh... it’s the kind of... yeah, excretion system.”

”Excretion system... excretion?” Pororo reacted, then glanced at Jason.

”You’re truly persistent.”

A long time ago, Simon wanted to equip such a system on the Soul-Host Puppets. He even tried to install it on the Puppet Girls, but was forcibly stopped by Chadite.

But now that the Soul-Host Puppets weren’t for the Puppet Girls but for former normal humans, Simon reignited the hope, successfully researching and developing this system.

Originally, Alka didn’t want to install it, but for some reason, he ultimately did equip it on the Soul-Host Puppets.

The most bizarre thing is, the feedback was... unexpectedly positive.

Looking at everyone’s peculiar expressions and Simon’s earnest face seeking evaluation.

Alka helplessly nodded and said, ”The system received unanimous praise from them.

Here are the reports they provided, plus suggestions for improvement, hoping you can adopt the modifications.

Some scholars even hope to exchange insights with you.”

Alka silently took out a booklet and handed it to Simon.

Upon hearing this, everyone’s expressions were stunned.

But they couldn’t help but think further. Once delved into the details, these intricate issues indeed needed to be addressed.

As expected.

Many years as ghost spirits will inevitably lead to some changes.
