Treasure Hunting System： The Ocean Conquerer

The wasteland unique to the World Scar is mostly comprised of gray land, occasionally dotted with resilient weeds.

Even on land so heavily invaded by the Abyss, many hardy weeds continue to grow tenaciously.

Some weeds have even quietly evolved to expel the Abyssal aura.

On this wasteland, one can see giant stones that have collapsed, almost completely melding with this barren land indistinguishably.

Only a few parts protruding from the soil indicate that these stones below and fragments were once part of buildings.

However, such ruins are the most common geographical markers in the entire world.

After all, an Empire was once located here.

Besides, there are some tombstones and remains.

From the giant stones, it can be discerned that these were traces left behind by buildings here after they collapsed.

Some cracked tombstones record that humans lived here long ago.

As for those scattered remains, there’s too much information, making verification impossible.

After all, it’s very dangerous here.

So dangerous that anyone without Tier Three strength would be best advised not to leave coastal cities.

Alka and the others have arrived at the area indicated on the map.

Their goal is clear, heading directly for the remnants of the building cluster in this wasteland.

The buildings here are extremely severely damaged.

But from these severely damaged building clusters, it’s clear that they have been here for over a thousand years.

They may even date back to before the Saralan Empire was destroyed.

These ruinous structures are scattered across the wasteland. Some are reduced to bare stones, others at least retain appearances with blurred murals and inscriptions.

Alka and the others dispersed across this field, searching for potentially useful information.

Alka, Chadite, and Lucilia on his shoulder worked as a team, exploring and searching around a relatively well-preserved ruin.

Mostly, Lucilia devoted her efforts to analyzing the style of these buildings and the inscriptions on them, deducing their era.

Alka and Chadite merely played a supporting role.

Watching Lucilia engrossed in her analysis, Alka casually found a rock to sit on.

”It’s quite unusual not to have a demon ambush in a place like this.”

Hearing Alka’s words, Chadite, standing beside him, glanced down at him before rolling his eyes.

”Should I capture a few for you?”

Hearing Chadite’s sarcasm, Alka shook his head, ”Don’t bother, that’s too much trouble for you.”

”Is this the main point?”

”Don’t mind these little details, but it’s rare that we’re treasure hunting outside without a demon ambush. It’s indeed curious.

Could it be that the methods used during my previous advancement exhausted the Mouth of Devourment?”

Calculating, they’ve already been in the World Scar for three years.

As soon as they appear in the wilderness areas, the countless ambushes instructed by the Mouth of Devourment are innumerable.

They’ve nearly fully adapted, as there’s no use for too many schemes where the Mouth of Devourment is.

It can only confront Alka and the others directly. The problem is the direct measures needed to eliminate Alka aren’t transportable to the hinterlands.

Trapped in a sort of dead end, sending demons to harass Alka repeatedly becomes the only option, betting on whether any results may come.

This is why Alka and the others remain here, apart from needing constant vigilance amid frequent battles which make them slightly mentally weary, the danger is nearly negligible.

And this time with no ambushes set by the Mouth of Devourment, bizarrely there’s some nostalgia.

”Maybe it’s because the previous ambushes caused some harassment. But now your strength has grown, coupled with the Dream Realm’s adjoining, reducing the area’s chaos level.

Considering that, they might have given up. After all, these consume resources.”

With the Dream Realm’s adjacency and Alka’s Dream Realm expansion, the corresponding reality naturally stabilizes further.

Even the World Scar’s fissures are narrowing.

Alka’s strength has improved.

Now attempting to inflict deadly harm on Alka and the others inside the Demon Defense Wall is nearly impossible.

Unless the fissure is suddenly widened, there’s hardly a possibility.

Under such circumstances, it’s rational for the Mouth of Devourment to give up. However, this abandonment doesn’t mean it won’t target Alka, should it detect a flaw, it would take action without hesitation, just not engaging in other futile actions.

Soon after, once Chadite and everyone else advances to the Sixth Stage.

It might be feasible to risk leaving the World Scar for a voyage.

Thanks to the Dream Realm’s strength greatly enhancing Alka, allowing him to temporarily boost his power beyond the Seventh Stage, under such conditions,

even outside with the Mouth of Devourment, it’s hard to cause him significant trouble.

His true self still resides within the World Scar, this is the largest restriction. Moreover, here limits more of his power.

As a result, the power he can extend externally also faces downgrading.

Yet to have all companions advance to Tier Six, it would minimally require a year or more of Meditation.

Chatting, Alka suddenly felt a thrust from beneath his seat.
