Treasure Hunting System： The Ocean Conquerer

Instead, I felt some unfamiliar aura on it, which didn’t seem like the power of a spell.

The stone monument was engraved with what appeared to be totem-like patterns.

As the patterns on it flickered slightly, Alka clearly felt that they were being scanned, as if something was being detected.

”You are friends, very safe.”

Through this stone monument, the half-elemental creature in front seemed to know. Finally, it stood up assuredly, and the stone monument slowly receded into the ground.

Seeing the half-elemental creature relax in front of him, Alka nodded and said, ”I am Alka, and they are my companions.”

”Hello, I am a sentinel of the Stonehoof Race, you can call me Rocksplit.”

Stonehoof, huh, quite fitting.

After some exchange, Rocksplit said, ”You are friends whom I have confirmed to be safe. You need to wait beside me.

After another sentinel takes my place, I will take you to the Stone Forest.”

Upon hearing this, Alka nodded; they were not in a hurry. They found a place to sit down nearby.

It seems to be some kind of internal system, right? Find him if there’s a problem or something.

After sitting down, Alka watched as Rocksplit submerged back into the ground. However, perhaps because Alka and his companions were nearby, he didn’t completely submerge but left his head on the ground, which looked a bit strange.

But from a distance, with their skin color and the stones on their head and mouth, it truly looked like an ordinary stone.

It seems to be able to exert a certain degree of control over the surrounding land according to the contact area of the body with the ground.

”How long has your race lived here?” Alka asked directly out of boredom, waiting around like this.

After all, this area is not far from the frontline Demon Defense Wall, at most two or three hundred kilometers, estimating.

There should often be demon harassment here, after all, the Demon Defense Wall is too long, and there are so many strange and peculiar demons that some have special means to bypass the Demon Defense Wall.

However, as long as they don’t bypass in large numbers, it’s still acceptable.

This is also why the inside of the Demon Defense Wall is not entirely safe.

Moreover, Alka can see with his eyes that Rocksplit’s strength is roughly around the Fifth Stage.

It’s unknown if it’s because of the half-elemental cause, but the form of expression of strength is certainly different from the normal Spiral, though the energy reaction is probably the same.

So, it could be regarded as a powerhouse who has mastered a Holy Grail Level treasure related to earth.

At least that’s how Akka simply calculated, not necessarily accurate, but sufficiently effective and intuitive.

Upon hearing Alka’s words, Rocksplit directly said, ”896 years and 21 days and nights.”

”Huh?”

Alka was momentarily surprised, so precise? Even counting days and nights, remembering so clearly.

”Our home, the Stone Forest, was established 896 years and 21 days and nights ago. The establishment of the Stone Forest signified our residence here.”

Hearing this, Alka nodded. Beside him, Pororo supported his head and couldn’t help but ask, ”Why do you remember it so clearly?”

Upon hearing Pororo’s words, Rocksplit’s head protruding from the ground turned slightly and glanced at him.

Although his eyes were cloudy and yellowish, it should have been a glance.

”Because I was there at the time.”

Upon hearing this, silence instantly fell, and no one spoke.

Lived so long, huh.

At this time, the speaking Rocksplit seemed to remember something, a look of sudden realization as he said, ”Oh, your kind are normal creatures; we are half-elemental creatures, so we have no lifespan limit.”

This statement is incorrect, Alka sharply noticed.

The scope of half-elemental creatures is far too broad.

The accurate description should be that the Stonehoof Race has no lifespan limit.

”So where did you come from?” Alka curiously asked.

This was indeed what he was most curious about.

The creation of half-elements almost requires the fulfillment of all conditions of time, location, and human harmony for them to be born.

Simply put, such creatures can be explained by an accident.

Alka basically suspected that this group of half-elemental creatures called Stonehoofs might come from another world.

The elemental theory he looked at.

In the Endless Sea, there is only one type of half-elemental creature, which is the water element.

And among the water elements, there is a race that occupies a controversial place on whether it should be categorized into this group.

That is the Merfolk race to which Julia belongs.

However, their race is controversial, so they’re still temporarily classified as oceanic creatures rather than half-elemental creatures.

Here, after all, being a vast sea, it’s normal for water element half-elemental creatures to arise in such an environment.

But for the earth element to arise in such an environment is extremely abnormal because nowhere in this world is devoid of water elements.

Elements are also relative.

Even in the Dream Realm, in normal element concentrations, water elements still dominate so directly.

”Transverse Earth Mausoleum,” Rocksplit said.

They had never heard of this place.

Rocksplit also explained in his stuttering voice, ”In your terms, it’s an elemental interface, an elemental interface primarily of earth element, supplemented by life element.

However, due to some accidental reasons, the element concentration was lost, the world was being destroyed, and afterwards, we arrived here through a fractured space channel.”

Simply put, it was a fortuitous accident for them.

After all, the Endless Sea is not a normal world; it’s very common for external biologicals to fall here, or for creatures from other worlds to arrive here by accident.

Maybe not common elsewhere; here at the World Scar, it’s even more common.

As they kept chatting, Alka and his companions gradually learned about the race Rocksplit belonged to.

”The person to replace me has arrived.”
