Treasure Hunting System： The Ocean Conquerer

The sky was pitch-black, the usual Milky Way that seemed to float in the sky had vanished. The starlight that filled the sky was also nowhere to be seen.

Even the occasionally shining celestial bodies were still hidden, tonight’s sky had only a crescent moon hanging on the black curtain.

This was precisely the night Alka and the others had been waiting for.

Upon seeing this night, Alka and the others quickly bid farewell. They gathered their belongings, quickened their pace, and left the Demon Hunting Fortress.

They seemed in quite a hurry.

This time, they didn’t leave through the city walls but directly departed from the back of the fortress towards the desolate wilderness.

Although this might cause them to take a longer route, the distance was no concern for them.

They could also perform the Moon Power User’s ritual within the fortress, but conducting such an inexplicable ritual in a place like the Demon Hunting Fortress, which was rather hostile to various pagan beliefs and demons,

would easily arouse suspicion and inquiries. Although their reputation could allow them to avoid these things, why bother?

Moreover, they themselves did not know how extensive the impact of this ritual would be.

So Alka and the others left swiftly, reaching a point 50 kilometers away from the fortress, and it was just the middle of the night.

This was the moment when the moon in the sky was the brightest.

The daytime sun was motionless, the sky as tranquil as the water’s surface, only at night could one feel the dynamics of the celestial bodies.

Ulu Liwus took out a treasure she had never fully mastered, capable of enhancing the ritual.

The puppet girls and Alka and the others busied themselves around, preparing various materials and the already carved statues.

The quick preparation took less than half an hour.

The entire ritual was ready.

An array of dense spell representing the moon, along with prayers and incantations written in White Crocodile Language lay on the ground.

This area of grassland was freshly cleared by them during the ritual setup, with Alka even reshaping and firing it into hard land using the Earth Card and Flame Card.

The statue was placed on the moon-shaped pattern above.

There were also various materials from mysticism scattered around.

Then Ulu Liwus controlled the treasure to the edge of the ritual.

Seeing this situation, Chadite took a deep breath, calmed her emotions, and later arrived at the center of the array.

She made a gesture similar to praying to the moon and closed her eyes.

Alka blinked and began to observe the proceedings of the entire ritual on a deeper level.

”Boundless darkness, pain of the heart. Respond to the arrival of the night!”

”Pure white moon, light of redemption. Carry the intent of reverence!”

”With Moon Power, in the name of the moon...”

The incantations in White Crocodile Language were chanted from Ulu Liwus’s mouth.

As the ritual proceeded, a light as bright as the moon began to shimmer from Chadite’s body.

This shimmering light brought a sense of tranquility to everyone around.

Their minds settled into stillness.

Even their senses became unusually acute, as if every facet of their surroundings was clearly visible.

The sense of clarity and transparency.

The shimmering light began to collect and concentrate on Chadite’s body.

Then the light gathered and appeared on Chadite’s face.

A pure white crescent moon mark appeared at the corners of her eyes and cheeks.

This crescent moon mark adorned Chadite’s face, complementing her silver-white hair.

An indescribable aura emitted from her, bringing peace.

Alka watched the entire ritual proceed like this.

Until the entire ritual concluded.

Alka’s entire expression seemed constipated.

Jason, who had been standing next to Alka the entire time, only noticed Alka’s extremely off expression after the ritual ended.

”What happened? Did something go wrong with the ritual?” Alka’s expression was indeed very misleading.

Jason’s remark attracted everyone’s attention.

Everyone looked at Alka.

”Nothing, I just feel... religious worship shouldn’t be done blindly.”

Listening to Alka’s sigh, they were a bit puzzled.

Alka explained: ”We thought the most important thing about the entire ritual was the weather, this kind of night.” He gestured towards the sky as he spoke.

Then he said solemnly, ”This point is not important at all because the entire ritual has nothing to do with this moon in the sky.”

Through his just unveiled eyes, he saw that not a trace of the ritual was linked to the moon or the weather.

Supposedly needing such circumstances for the ritual was merely a convoluted step required by certain religious beliefs.

Simply put, it’s a useless means of elevating religious dignity.

In reality, it had no substantive impact on the ritual.

Though it still bore the nature of moonlight, it had no connection with the moon above.

Such a night sky wouldn’t bring any substantial enhancement or effect, serving more as an expression of reverence.

In other words, they had waited for such a long time for no reason, without any purpose.

In fact, once they knew this, they could have conducted the ritual immediately, making Chadite a Moon Power User.

Listening to Alka’s explanation, everyone felt somewhat upset as well.

Being wasted time for nothing was truly bothersome.

But the issue was that if the ritual wasn’t performed, they couldn’t really ensure that such a situation wouldn’t happen again.
