Treasure Hunting System： The Ocean Conquerer

Alka looked at Chadite.

Chadite nodded and said, ”Just like the environment here, leaning towards the Earth Element or you could say the Earth Elemental.

And they don’t have much hostility towards humans, which might be because they are more like humans, whether in appearance or former form.”

These were all the information they had gathered before, and Chadite was mainly responsible for this aspect of collection.

Looking at the hilly area ahead, it was indeed so.

”Don’t be fooled by this desolate mountain range. It was once a mineral resource production site of the Saralan Empire.

The Half-Elemental creatures living here now mainly handle the extraction of these mineral resources and trade with humans.”

After listening to Chadite’s brief explanation, Alka nodded in realization. If Half-Elemental creatures were involved in the mining, it would indeed be much more efficient.

It can basically be confirmed that these are Earth Element Half-Elemental creatures.

Their special abilities can greatly reduce the human forces invested.

After all, you can’t have Third Stage combat power here digging for stones, that would be too wasteful. And if they’re not Third Stage, they might be affected by the quite deep Abyssal aura here, causing all sorts of problems.

So sometimes, even though such important areas should be occupied and held, they have to be abandoned.

This is also why many zones in the World Scar are occupied by other races, after all, it’s a win-win situation.

As they chatted, they continued to walk up the mountain. It must be said that this was indeed no place for ordinary humans to live, with various mountains being extremely steep and mostly without any mountain paths.

They relied entirely on their own power, jumping from one standable plane to another.

After climbing to a height of about six or seven meters, they finally reached a more gentle platform.

As soon as Alka jumped up, he frowned.

Chadite’s reconnaissance pulse was spreading across the ground, surrounding the area, yet not detecting anything.

”Is there a problem?” Looking at Alka’s expression, Chadite was already prepared for battle and asked.

Alka nodded, a brown Earth Card had already appeared beside him.

Through mastery of the Earth Card, in this area with a high concentration of Earth Element, he could perceive more.

He gently raised his hand.

The Earth Card beside him emitted a brown glow, and in front of them, a mound of earth suddenly rose up, pushing something out from the soil.

The creature looked very surprised to be pushed out.

Alka and the others finally understood why it was said that the Half-Elemental creatures here have a relatively friendly relationship with humans, because they are humanoid.

It was a bald man with a bare upper body, if he could still be considered one.

Aside from two eyes, his mouth was completely protected by a stone block, like wearing a thick brown face guard.

On his limbs, it was clearly visible that some dirt clung to them like skin.

Reaching the forearms and hands, it felt like both hands were made of terracotta, resembling clay sculptures.

Some cracks, like stone fractures, spread across his body, appearing fragile yet giving a sense of heaviness, very peculiar.

However, his legs were somewhat like hooves, with a short thin tail swishing around behind him.

Additionally, on his earth-like brown skin, there were grayish-white patterns drawn.

A bit like the patterns on stone surfaces, very chaotic, yet matching the color of his skin.

Staring at them, his eyes seemed very dim and murky, as if his vision was poor.

”Who are you? Why did you come here?”

The Half-Element creature in front of them spoke, though it was evident that his speaking organ was not the mouth or throat. The sound was a bit like tapping, very peculiar.

Moreover, the sound wasn’t deep; rather, it was clear and crisp, but somewhat intermittent, making it hard to listen to.

”We are a Treasure Hunting Team, here to visit the Ghost Soul Mountain Range.”

”Treasure Hunting Team? You’re not soldiers from the frontline? Well, another Treasure Hunting Team, but I am not sure if you are dangerous.”

The intermittent voice came.

Clearly, this was the place of the Cloud Sage’s death, still easily found. And since then, the Cloud Staff indeed hadn’t appeared again.

If it was a normal Treasure Hunting Team that obtained such information, they would certainly come to this area to take a look.

Although not guaranteed to gain anything, if they don’t come, they definitely won’t find anything.

”We’re just taking a look and won’t affect you. If demons trouble you, we could even help.”

Alka simply explained, expressing that they had no intentions.

After all, they couldn’t be considered frontline soldiers now, but rather had the identity of Treasure Hunters.

The Half-Element creature in front of them paused for a moment, thought about it, and said, ”Wait here.”

After saying this, he suddenly squatted down, more stones spreading over his hefty hands, and then he placed his hands on the ground.

The ground in front of Alka cracked open, and as it did, a stone stele rose from it.

Looking at this stone stele, Alka did not sense any aura of Treasure from it.
