Treasure Hunting System： The Ocean Conquerer

Chapter 267: Chapter 172 Return Voyage_2

Is its rejection really that strong? Alka couldn’t help but wonder. The rejection was just too strong; it had directly sent Chadite flying, which was somewhat exaggerated. But since things were already like this, it obviously wasn’t suitable for Chadite.

He passed the flag to Pororo.

Pororo looked at the flag Alka handed him, reached out, took it, and channeled his Magic Power into it.

However, as soon as his Magic Power flowed in, he frowned. Although the Treasure didn’t reject him, he quickly withdrew his Magic Power.

Then he handed the flag back to Alka, shook his head regretfully, and said, ”No, this flag conflicts with the Ocean. I can’t handle it.”

Conflicts with the Ocean? Doesn’t that mean it conflicts with the Sea God? Is such a thing possible?

As a Warrior of the Ocean, it was quite normal for Pororo’s Magic Power to be related to the Sea God and carry associated attributes. This meant the flag wasn’t rejecting him; rather, his Magic Power was rejecting the Treasure.

This made Alka recall an earlier conversation with the Archbishop. The Archbishop had said that this flag wasn’t suitable for their Church, which was why they had given it to Alka as a favor, despite taking a major loss. Thinking about it this way, it seemed like a real possibility. Akka had initially thought it was just the Church’s casual explanation, but it turned out to be true.

Looking at the flag in his hand, what exactly is this thing? It seems to be disliked by two Churches. Although, its effect doesn’t seem like anything positive. And the churches of the Divine are mostly positive, so rejection is quite normal.

In that case, Jason probably can’t handle this Treasure either, since his Magic Power attributes have been changed by the Church’s Treasures. And that Treasure Chest is useless; it doesn’t have the function to change Jason’s Magic Power attributes. Besides, Jason is quite satisfied with his current Magic Power attributes.

The only choice left is Julia. After all, Julia doesn’t have any Treasures, although she temporarily controls the Frost Nova. Once she’s back at the Church, it will naturally be available.

However, before that, Alka still handed the flag to Julia, letting her try it to see if it would repel her.

Julia reached out and touched it twice, then immediately retracted her hand. She shook her head and said, ”No, the rejection is very strong.”

Hearing this, Alka shook his head helplessly. What’s going on? What is the matter with the members of their crew? Have all the people unable to handle Treasures come aboard? Or is this thing’s temper just too strong?

In any case, the situation on their ship was indeed quite special. Alka shook his head helplessly, put the flag away again, and secured it at his thigh.

He can only wait until they return to the Church and let Julia try again. By then, there shouldn’t be any problems. Julia doesn’t have faith in any Divine, and while the Magic Power within her has been slightly altered, it isn’t very strong. After all, it’s just a normal Frost Attribute, which shouldn’t affect her touching the Treasure.

Now it seems only Pororo and Chadite are having trouble finding suitable Treasures. Especially Chadite, who has comprehended a Core Spell, which is equivalent to possessing a Treasure. Now it seems that comprehending a Core Spell early isn’t necessarily a good thing. Is being too talented actually bad? It’s equivalent to having a Treasure, but without actually possessing one, yet still bearing the consequences of having one. For people who might never have a chance to handle a Treasure in their lifetime, comprehending a Core Spell is undoubtedly a very good thing. But for them, it has turned into a bad thing instead. But if a compatible Treasure is found, the Core Spell will be correspondingly strengthened, which can also be considered a good thing. You could say blessings and misfortunes come hand in hand.

Suddenly, Alka thought of something. He patted his head and looked at everyone, saying, ”Before we return to the Great Cathedral, everyone should touch these two Treasures whenever you get the chance. You never know, you might comprehend an interesting Spell, and that wouldn’t be a loss, right?”

At this, he couldn’t help but laugh.

But it’s true; these two Treasures will ultimately be exchanged. At that time, there won’t be an opportunity for them to touch them. Before then, they should touch them more often. If they comprehend a Spell, regardless of its strength, it’s a gain. Though, so far, his Dream Catcher had only provided Julia with a Sleep Spell. It slightly improved everyone’s sleep quality at night, though they didn’t suffer from insomnia to begin with. Touching Treasures, comprehending Spells... it isn’t as easy as they think.

Both Treasures were laid out, and the group began taking turns to touch them. Alka also brought out his Dream Catcher. He let everyone touch them to their heart’s content.

A dejected Chadite went and touched each one. There was no other way; today’s blow to Chadite had been quite significant. None of them were suitable. The Treasure she had touched when she first became capable of interacting with them seemed quite picky.

When her hand grazed Alka’s Dream Catcher, her whole body suddenly shivered, and then she closed her eyes. Seeing this, everyone else stopped.

This signifies Chadite has comprehended a Spell related to the Dream Catcher! Has touching it so often finally yielded results? The group was somewhat eager to see what kind of Spell she had comprehended.

After a moment, Chadite opened her eyes, a slight smile appearing on her face. It looks like she comprehended a pretty good Spell.

”What Spell did you comprehend? Tell us!” Lucilia hopped from Akka’s shoulder to Chadite’s and asked.
