Treasure Hunting System： The Ocean Conquerer

Chapter 261: Chapter 170: The Lava Approaches_2

Just as he was about to speak, Juanlu closed his mouth, his eyes revealing confusion.

What’s going on here? This is too magical. Is this something the Toucher can do? It feels like only the power of a Treasure could do something like this, he couldn’t help but think.

Finally unable to hold back, he asked, ”Holy Mother, how did you do that?”

Listening to his exclamation, Alka looked at him and smiled.

”Just a small ability, nothing worth mentioning.”

However, this time, it exceeded his expectations. Perhaps he had acted too quickly; this time, the false body did not die from the flames. It was just burned, severely burned. But as long as it hadn’t died, no matter how severe the injuries, it made no difference; it posed no burden to his spirit. The final life-saving method also hadn’t been used.

Afterward, the group couldn’t help but look at the object in front of them.

At this moment, the metal box still emitted an astonishing temperature.

The metal box bore no marks, as if cut by a sharp blade. It had been polished smooth, buffed to a mirror finish, and even began to reflect the sunlight.

Alka looked at the object; it didn’t seem like a metal box at all, but rather like a solid block of metal because it was seamless, as if it were one piece.

Moreover, it didn’t have a blue border on its surface. He was unsure whether it was because he had just touched it in the magma or because the Treasure was further inside, much like when Alka had harvested the inheritance treasure.

Thinking of this, he looked at the map in his hand.

The light points on it had dimmed, leaving behind a golden point that no longer glowed. This indicated he had indeed harvested it.

He reached out and tapped on it.

[Ancient Relic] (Harvested)

[Difficulty: Lava Tolerant, Mighty (Three Spirals)]

[Fame: 56]

[Treasure Information: A seamless box buried beneath the magma, legend has it that it can lock time inside.]

[Treasure Harvest: Box of Eternal Preservation.]

From the additional information on the Treasure, he knew that the Treasure was this box, which could lock time inside.

Lock time inside? Is this a capability of a Holy Grail Level Treasure?! Could it be a Scepter Level Treasure? But that shouldn’t be, Alka mused.

He frowned in thought. Would a Scepter Level Treasure also reveal golden light points? Alka thought it shouldn’t.

But he couldn’t glean any more information from this.

Looking at the metal block-like box at his feet, Alka squatted down.

Waiting for the scorching temperature on the box’s surface to subside, Alka reached out to touch it.

As his arm made contact, the Dream Catcher gave no sign of resistance.

That’s good; it indicates the Dream Catcher doesn’t dislike the box as it did Frost Nova, he thought.

Magic Power flowed from his arm into the box before him.

The Magic Power from his hand merged smoothly into the box, indicating the Dream Catcher wasn’t resisting it.

He could feel the box seemed somewhat unwilling; it only reluctantly expelled the Magic Power after quite a while.

The Magic Power returned very docilely to Alka’s hands.

It seemed the box rejected the Dream Catcher. However, taking so long to expel the Magic Power indicated its Level was lower than the Dream Catcher’s. It felt somewhat lacking in potency, Alka considered. It appears it isn’t Scepter Level; it should be the same Level as a Holy Grail. Perhaps it’s at the bottom end of the Holy Grail Level.

This was because whether it was the Bloody Team Banner or Frost Nova, when facing the Dream Catcher, they would strongly reject or retaliate. There wouldn’t be a situation like this, where it took so long to expel the Magic Power.

This signified it was weaker than the Dream Catcher. Wasn’t this just the low end of the Holy Grail Level? The Dream Catcher, among Holy Grail Level Treasures, should be in an average position. Of course, if the three previous Treasures I obtained were all at the top end of the Holy Grail Level, then never mind what I just thought.

But since it also rejected him, Chadite, Pororo, or Jason will have to try this Treasure Chest, Alka thought. However, now isn’t the time. We should get back on board first.

He picked up the box, turned to the others, and said, ”Let’s return to the ship first.”

Everyone nodded.

Taking their belongings, they swiftly returned to the ship.

Only Juanlu looked bewildered. Although he had followed and watched the whole process, he felt he understood nothing, dazedly following everyone back to the ship.

Pororo hadn’t expected them to return so quickly; the round trip had taken less than two hours. Was it this easy?

Back on the ship, Alka looked at the box in his hand.

”Strange, why didn’t we encounter any obstacles?”

Hearing Alka’s words, Chadite, who was beside him, asked curiously, ”Why would there be obstacles? There was no one on the island, not even any creatures.”

How could he respond? He couldn’t possibly say he’d seen it on the map, Alka thought.

But indeed, the Difficulty rating indicated Three Spirals. Based on Alka’s treasure hunting experience, whenever a Treasure’s Difficulty rating included a strength Level, it signified encountering enemies of corresponding strength. There had never been an exception.

No, the only exception was when obtaining a previous Treasure, where he had encountered that red Evil Spirit that emerged midway. But that had a reason; it was merely that the monster’s strength had exceeded expectations.

This was the first time he had encountered a listed Difficulty Level but hadn’t met any corresponding monster. There hadn’t even been any combat.
