Treasure Hunting System： The Ocean Conquerer

Chapter 266: Chapter 172 Return Voyage

”I’m planning to use this box to exchange with the Church for the mirror mask that will make me a Toucher.”

There was no longer any need for comparison; the flag was definitely much more useful than this box.

Upon hearing Alka’s words, everyone naturally had no objections.

Jason, however, asked from the side, ”With this box’s abilities, will the Church really be willing to make an exchange?”

It wasn’t about anything else; they genuinely looked down on the box. The Church couldn’t possibly be such a fool, could they? One would be trying to trade a clearly less useful piece of junk for a proper Treasure. How could the values of these two possibly be equivalent? The Church wasn’t stupid.

Upon hearing this, Alka couldn’t help but feel troubled.

No matter how I think about it, the value of this thing can’t possibly match the Mirror Surface; it’s not even worthy of carrying its shoes. After all, it’s just a bonus item. I must add something to boost its value to have any chance of exchanging it for the item I desire from the Church. The flag in my hand has already taken considerable advantage of the Church. The reason I accepted this task and intend to complete it is because of the goodwill generated by the flag. Not to mention, I’ve also been given this exchange opportunity by the Church. If I were to use such an unequal item for the trade, it would be going too far. It would definitely leave a negative impression on people within the Church.

Let me think... What else can be added as a sweetener? The Treasure in the Vastin Imperial Capital!

This thought suddenly surfaced in Alka’s mind. He had already planned to sell this information to the Church in exchange for some useful items.

Now, if I package this information about the Treasure, along with the box, and give it to the Church in exchange for the Mirror Surface, that should be an equivalent value. After all, the information about that Treasure is sufficiently detailed. It includes a clear location and the conditions to acquire that Treasure. Once the conditions are met, it can be easily obtained. Moreover, while these conditions are difficult for us to meet, they might be a piece of cake for the Church. To be honest, the Church is essentially the ruler of this Homeland Sea; they just don’t express it overtly. All they want is the right to preach. The actual situation is nearly indistinguishable. After all, the Divine they serve is the Controller of this sea. What other power in this sea could surpass the Church?

Thinking of this, Alka finally felt a bit relieved.

He said, ”Don’t worry, I have other things to bundle with it for the exchange.”

”It’ll probably take us another two months to return to the Church. Your task during these next two months or so is to stabilize your strength at the Three Spirals level. Otherwise, if your strength drops after the Treasure is gone, that would be embarrassing.”

Upon hearing Alka’s words, Jason stood up straight, like a soldier, and said to Alka, ”Yes, Captain! I guarantee I’ll complete the task.”

With that, Jason jogged into his room; he had decided to seize the time for Meditation to stabilize his strength.

Watching Jason’s retreating figure, Alka chuckled and shook his head helplessly. Then he reached out and pulled a wrapped rod from his thigh. Unraveling the cloth strips around it, the flag inside was revealed. Since the decision had been made to use the box for the exchange, this flag was definitely to be kept in their possession.

He unfurled the flag, gazing at the pair of crossed swords on its crimson surface. Among the crew on board capable of controlling a Treasure, only Pororo and Chadite are left. Of course, Julia and Jason could also control it, but there’s a high likelihood of rejection.

”Since the decision has been made, then this Treasure... we’ll have to see which of you will use it.”

”Chadite, you go first.”

Chadite was still given priority.

Upon hearing Alka’s words, Chadite didn’t hesitate. He walked right up, took the flag from Alka’s hand, and began to infuse his Magic Power into it.

Juanlu, who had been watching them from the side, remained silent, standing numbly to one side.

Four Treasures have appeared before me today. Yes, apart from when I became a Toucher, I had never seen a Treasure again, and I didn’t even understand much about them. Yet today, I’ve witnessed four of them. They’re being passed around by this group before me as if they were worthless trinkets. I no longer know what to say. I don’t even know what I should be expressing. I just want to know what kind of ship I’ve boarded, and who on earth are these people? Every Treasure is the core of a faction; any faction possessing a Treasure is a hegemon in its own right. Yet, on this small ship, this Treasure Hunting Team actually possesses four of them!

As Chadite infused the flag with Magic Power, the flag emitted a faint red glow and then abruptly blasted him away. Chadite crashed directly against the wooden wall of the stern cabin and slid down, crouching and coughing.

Alka hurried over. Lucilia, on his shoulder, hopped down energetically in front of Chadite and began checking him over. ”Are you alright, Chadite?” she asked with concern.

Chadite waved his hand, stood up, and after assessing his condition, said, ”I’m fine. It just blasted me away, but I’m not injured.”

The rejection phenomenon had been severe, flinging Chadite backward, but the burst of Energy hadn’t caused any significant harm.

Seeing that Chadite was genuinely unharmed, Alka finally nodded.
